This is a fun little side story that delves into the lives of the Ivy House Crew.
Edgar does not cheat in flower shows. He might use a magically enhanced serum, but anyone could do that. It's not his fault the other competitors don’t know magic exists!
But when the Ivy House crew goes to the pre-show to support him, it becomes clear that someone should've been watching Edgar much more carefully. What he's done is way worse than overgrown flora.
While Jessie is dealing with that, she gets a shock as she discovers photos of her ex with his girlfriend…turned fiancée. And while the flood of emotions can be ignored, the desire to show off Austin on social media is not.
After putting Mr. Tom in charge of the flower fiasco, she decides to take Austin on his perfect date. Her goal: to have one thing go right in her life. Just one thing!
Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

Basic Plot: Jessie and company save the public from Edward's flowers and the crew from an attacking pack.
This was very short in comparison to the other books, but this resulted in a tighter story with more of the fun elements and less of the draggy bits. I really enjoyed it, and how it showed Austin and Jessie solidifying their bond and relationship.
The GraphicAudio version of Magical Midlife Flowers was an absolute delight from beginning to end. I've enjoyed this series from the start, but hearing it performed with a full cast, sound effects, and music made the experience even more entertaining.
One of my favorite parts of this installment was Edgar. Honestly, every time he appeared, I knew I was in for something memorable. His enthusiasm is completely unmatched, and his ability to turn even the most ordinary situation into a bizarre adventure never fails to make me laugh. His endless escapades into weirdness somehow manage to be both ridiculous and endearing, and the GraphicAudio cast captured his larger-than-life personality perfectly. Edgar remains one of the standout characters in the entire series.
The flower show was another highlight. What could have been a simple event became a wonderfully chaotic and magical spectacle filled with humor, surprises, and plenty of character moments. The combination of competition, magic, and Breene's signature humor kept me thoroughly entertained.
I also loved seeing Jessie and Austin together. Their "perfect date" was one of my favorite parts of the story. After everything they've been through, it was nice to see them have moments that were sweet, genuine, and full of the chemistry that has made them such an enjoyable couple to follow throughout the series.
As always, Jessie continues to be a fantastic heroine - strong, funny, and willing to embrace the chaos that seems to follow her everywhere. The supporting cast shines just as brightly, and the GraphicAudio production brings every character and scene to life in a way that makes it feel like you're right there in Ivy House.
If you're a fan of the Leveling Up series, the GraphicAudio adaptation is absolutely worth it. Between Edgar's delightful madness, the flower show antics, the romance, and the incredible production quality, this was a five-star listening experience that had me smiling from start to finish.
A fun novella in the series that shows some of the day to day life of the crew. One of the chapters features Edgar who is one of the most delightful characters in the series. Cute story overall but it could have been cut into 2 chapters and added to the books before or after this one.
