The 80s Was The Best Decade Ever
The Breakfast Club, Fast Time At Ridgemont High, Valley Girl, Karate Kid.
Lex really nails this. He totally captures the culture of the 80s by defining the language of that time.
I still use these words to this day and they’re still relevant.
The skate culture and the emergence of hip-hop were central understanding where the language came from. Our current paradigm has its roots in skateboards & extreme sports, MTV & rap, and video games.
This book should not be ignored. It’s a gem.

Fun, fun book!
I read through this book fast, fer sure!!! It was hilarious. I especially liked the word/phrase origin, reading about the histories of each phrase. Especially amusing is the part where one can learn advanced ways to use the words and phrases.
I found it interesting, the catch phrases that are still with us. And the ones that made me cringe!! (there is space in the hard copy to journal your own thoughts, memories of the slang)
I think the only thing more fun than reading this book would have been to write it!
