Jeneva Rose is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of several novels, including The Perfect Marriage and The Perfect Divorce. Her work has been translated into more than thirty languages and optioned for film/tv. She currently lives in Wisconsin with her husband, Drew, and her stubborn English bulldogs, Winston and Phyllis Vance.
A Perfect Divorce is the sequel to a A Perfect Marriage and we are back following Sarah Morgan 11 years later where she is now married to Bob Miller and has a child. Unfortunately, the cheating bug seems to follow Sarah as she catches Bob having a one-night stand. She immediately files for divorce. But she has bigger fish to fry because new DNA evidence has been uncovered against her ex-husband throwing her back into the spotlight and when the woman that Bob slept with is found missing both are at the front centre of her disappearance.
Let me just be completely honest. This sequel was not needed! Not only did I have to wait till 40% in the book to actually become somewhat interested but there was a whole bunch of cat and mouse that was lacking serious electric energy.
Sarah is still Sarah and Bob is Bob! No character development just two entitled fools who think they are above the law… SNOOOZE!
The was some funny dialogue in certain parts and I am a lover of short chapters so that was a win. But in terms of the whole plot and some anticipated “twist and turns” … PLEASE BEHAVE! As an obvious Popcorn Thriller, I can accept embellished and extreme over the top shenanigans and twists but the ones in this book were sooo ‘MEH’
There was a scene that I think the author thought we was going to fall for and I absolutely laughed out loud at the cliffhanger because bless you hun, you really thought you got me there…😒 Then the last ‘twist’ just had me shaking my head in disappointment.
The story is told in numerous POVs that I didn’t particularly care for. It would have been enough to keep it with just Sarah, Bob and Sheriff Hudson.
⋆。°✩WHAT I LIKED⋆。°✩ ➽ Short Chapters ➽ Funny dialogue ➽ The police procedural ➽ Quick read
⋆。°✩WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE⋆。°✩ ➽ Too much unnecessary fillers ➽ Too many POVS ➽ The twists were not enjoyable ➽ Eye rolling embellishment ➽ Predictable ➽ The ending
Although not a banger for me, I do believe it’s a digestible book that you can get through on a lazy weekend or maybe play the audiobook (Adam Lazarre- White voices the sheriff and whewww that mans voice🥵🥵🔥) in the background as you get on with other things.
2.5 ⭐
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ⋆。°✩pre read⋆。°✩ Happy Pub Day!!! Cant wait to see what the characters are up to now! Hope this sequel is as funny and entertaining! 🤍❤️🤍
I felt like this sequel to The Perfect Marriage was the author’s way of making amends—tidying up the mess from book one, closing the plot holes, and giving readers a more complete, satisfying experience. Good news: the police investigation this time around doesn’t feel like a clumsy crime movie spoof. It’s tighter, better structured, and far more compelling.
This time, we get three intriguing mysteries that weave together smoothly: a missing one-night stand, the reopening of Kelly Summers’ murder case, and the suspicious death of a cop. The pacing is spot on—you’ll find yourself constantly turning pages, snacking away, and grinning at the twists, especially in the final third where the tension really kicks up a notch. There’s a lot going on, and you keep asking yourself, “Is karma finally coming for these people?” Thankfully, most of the foolish ones get what’s coming to them!
No spoilers, but there is one lingering thread involving a mysteriously resurfacing character that seems to hint at another sequel. If I could name it? The Perfect Funeral. It just fits this twisted little universe so well, right?
The book opens with Sarah Morgan—yes, she’s back—being cheated on again. She’s filing for divorce, demanding custody of her daughter Summer, while her husband Bob pleads that it was just a “one-time thing.” (Seriously, what’s wrong with these guys? Sarah’s either a dream or a nightmare—possibly both.) We already know what happened to her previous husband, Adam, who paid the ultimate price for cheating. If only he’d kept his pants zipped, maybe Sarah wouldn’t have stabbed his mistress thirty-seven times (or was it twenty-five? Numbers aren’t my strength, but Sarah clearly keeps count).
Anyway, moving on. Enter Ryan Stevens, the corrupt cop responsible for that disaster of an investigation from the first book. He’s now arrested for a drunk-driving incident that resulted in someone’s death. Naturally, he calls his lawyer… and guess who walks in? That’s right—Sarah Morgan. But just as things seem to settle, a shocking lab report leaks to the press, revealing Ryan’s DNA at Kelly Summers’ old crime scene. Suddenly, the cold case is reopened.
Meanwhile, Stacy Howard—the woman who had a fling with Sarah’s current husband Bill—has mysteriously vanished. Bill accuses Sarah of being involved and threatens her if she doesn’t back down from the custody fight. Is he bluffing, or does he have something real that could link Sarah to not just one but two murders? Is Stacy a pawn in Sarah’s revenge plot, or is something even more sinister going on?
All I can say is: grab your snacks, curl up, and prepare for a fast-paced, twist-filled thriller. This one pulls you in and doesn’t let go.
Final Thoughts:
The only downside? The characters are almost all unlikable. Sarah is cold and cunning, Bill is both cruel and clueless (a terrible combo), and even Sheriff Hudson feels underwhelming. Pam, thankfully, is likable—but she’s more of a side character.
I’m rounding my 3.5 stars up to 4, mainly because of the strong pacing and the cleaner plot execution. The twists are mostly predictable, but they still work. This isn’t my favorite by the author, but it’s a big step up from the first book. I have a strong feeling this won’t be the last we hear from Sarah Morgan—and I wouldn’t be surprised if the next chapter is right around the corner.
Quick question- did I read the same book as everyone else? Because I definitely have an outlier opinion on this…
In all honesty, I did state a few books back that I didn’t think this author was for me anymore and I was not going to continue to read Jeneva Rose’s books anymore. However, I kept seeing all the high ratings for this book, and I did enjoy “The Perfect Marriage”, so I gave her another shot. Well, bad move on my part. 🤦🏻♀️ I did not like the main character Sarah Morgan in the first book, and I disliked her even more in this book. In fact, I disliked her so much, I was rooting for her husband Bob Miller throughout this whole book.
In this story, Sarah is divorcing her husband Bob due to his infidelity. Bob’s one night stand goes missing, and then new evidence is uncovered in her former husband’s case that caused him to be executed. Who is manipulating who in this story? And is Sarah Morgan once again smarter than everyone in the universe?
This story has so many time inconsistencies, and I could not count the amount of times my eyeballs were rolling. I’m not sure if I’m just not in the right age bracket for this author (I’m thinking a much younger audience), or if I’ve just read so many other thrillers that this seems cheesy to me? I’m also thinking because I’ve read so many books since I’ve read “The Perfect Marriage”, that I probably wouldn’t enjoy that one as much either if I re-read it now.
Regardless, this is not the “perfect” review, and I do not plan on reading book #3 when it comes out. I also can’t say that I would recommend reading this.
Okay. This book??? WILD. UTTERLY WILD. Jeneva Rose really said "Oh, you thought that was it? Watch this." and threw us headfirst back into Sarah Morgan’s chaotic, cunning, completely twisted world—and it was GLORIOUS.
First things first: this sequel eats.Better than the first?? 100% yes. And I say that as someone who didn’t even love the first one. But this one? This one had me clapping, gasping, and side-eyeing everyone like “who’s playing who now??”
The drama. Sarah is BACK—smarter, meaner, and more done-with-your-crap than ever. And Bob? Sweet summer Bob? Boy, BYE. He messed with the wrong woman. This wasn’t a divorce. It was a full-on WAR. Messy, savage, unhinged... and I loved every second.
Twists? YES. Mind games? Double YES. That moment where you think it’s over but it’s NOT? ICONIC.
And can we talk about the ✨tone✨ of this book? It’s giving Gone Girl meets courtroom chaos and petty revenge—but with way more murder and razor-sharp shade. Also? The dialogue is lethal. So many one-liners I wanted to tattoo on my soul. Sarah is savage and I live for it.
Yeah, it’s over-the-top. Yeah, it’s totally dramatic. But that’s what makes it SO addictive. I stayed up way too late inhaling this, eyes wide, heart racing, and muttering “WHAT?!” every ten pages.
This is not just a book. It’s a vibe. It’s a messy, blood-stained, secret-filled, don’t-trust-anyone vibe. And honestly? I want more.
Would I recommend? Absolutely. Just maybe don’t read it right before bed unless you want to lie there plotting imaginary revenge on people who ghosted you back in 2018.
Petty. Dirty. Delicious. The perfect divorce? Nah. The perfect thriller? Maybe.
Someone get me book #3 IMMEDIATELY.I’m not done with Sarah. Not even close.Cue dramatic music and a slow, sinister smile.
Final thoughts: Justice is messy. So is divorce. But damn, it makes for good reading.10/10 would get legally entangled again.
"Till death do us part. Yours. Not Mine." Unreliable...everyone!! Watch your back...most of all your heart! This is an amazing psychological thriller that will have you looking behind you. It is one of those books you need a diagram to keep all the characters in their places. Who is plotting who? So many characters aligned with dark aggressive behaviors. If you read The Perfect Marriage, you will relate. The Perfect Divorce is even better with darkness and twists you won't see coming. Sarah Morgan, a lawyer in The Perfect Marriage, defended her husband, Adam, accused and convicted of murdering his mistress. He was executed. Did she do her best to help or hinder the truth? 11 Years later, new evidence conveys he may not have killed her. Now Sarah is married to Bob but filing for a divorce and custody of their daughter after he was caught having a fling...and she is missing. This doesn't even touch the surface of the story. There are so many side shows and a compelling dramatic ending, but first you will encounter plot twists and unexpected turns that will change your understanding of the story or characters. This is her best yet!!! Thank you NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for this incredible ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This is one of those rare cases where the sequel is way better than the original. Loved this. ♥️
She is back again! And just as manipulative as ever. Or is her husband the manipulative one? Who is plotting against who and who will come out on top?
To be honest, I was one of the people that didn’t really like the first book. BUT, with that said, you absolutely need to read the 1st or at least know the major plot points to read this as it plays a major role.
This was really great and from the ending it appears we will be getting another which I actually am really excited about now. I find it really hard to say all the things I want to say about this one, because it would just give too much away.
This is gonna be a hit!
Thank you to netgalley for this free advance copy in exchange for an honest review.
"Till death do us part. Yours. Not mine" If my trust in people was already zilch well now its " - Zilch" thanks to Jeneva Rose OMG... Not only Queen of plot twists but also plotting between the characters🤯🤌🏻 First off sequel necessary or not I'm just happy Jeneva released a new book, listen this wasn't even on my KU yet so when I saw the audio on libby I RAN
I enjoyed this so much the twists may have been predictable in some places but the plotting against each other quite literally like cat and mouse game was done PERFECTLY!!! I couldn't pause the audio dare I say this sequel may have topped her first one???
From the bottom of my soul, I have to thank Ms. Jeneva Rose for yet another tour de force of a novel. From the start, The Perfect Divorce was in one word…well…perfect. Somehow outdoing the first book in the series, this new mashup of domestic and psychological thriller was dark, twisted, and thoroughly entertaining. Packed full of brilliant twists and well-executed red herrings, even I—guesser of most revelations—missed a trick here and there. Did I catch a few? Well…yes. But that just made me love this wild ride even more as I raced through the chapters. I mean, who could pass up trying to outguess Jeneva?
You see, just like the first installment, this book delivered suspicious individuals complete with unhinged behavior. This time around, though, not only was the over-the-top meter dialed down just a bit, but Sarah really came into her own. Dynamic, quick-witted, and utterly savage, she was everything I could want in a female main character. A force to be reckoned with, she had me totally bamboozled until the final timely reveal delivered in spades. After all, even though I saw through a few of the twists thanks to my insatiable appetite of all things suspense, the onion-like layers meant that there was so much more to this—and the last—story than I could have ever foreseen.
All in all, this newest rendition took The Perfect Marriage and turned everything up a notch until the plot and characters exploded off of the page. Thanks to well-written multiple POVs, a propulsive pace, and immersive storytelling where I lost all track of time, I fell for the plot hook, line, and sinker. And let me tell you, when I read in the acknowledgments that this won’t be the last we see of these characters, I quite literally shouted “Oh, thank you, God!!” All I know is that you need to grab this book as soon as you can. Just be sure to start at the beginning. After all, you’re not going to want to miss a minute with Sarah. Rating of 5 stars.
**NOTE: I know that there have been mixed opinions on the first book in this series, but, even if you didn’t love The Perfect Marriage, I highly recommend giving this one a try. With the same Jeneva Rose magic but a more almost grown-up feel, the unbelievability that many disliked in the first novel was noticeably absent this time around. Instead, it felt realistic all while still supplying plenty of that much loved juicy drama that this author’s known for.
SYNOPSIS:
It’s been eleven years since high-powered attorney Sarah Morgan defended her husband, Adam, against the charge of murdering his mistress. Sarah has long since moved on, starting a family with her new husband, Bob Miller, and changing careers. Her life is back to being exactly how she always wanted…or is it?
After discovering Bob engaged in a one-night stand, Sarah wastes no time filing for divorce. However, amid their ugly separation, new DNA evidence is uncovered in the case against Adam, forcing the police to reopen the investigation and putting Sarah right back in the spotlight. Everyone wants to know what really happened, most of all former deputy Marcus Hudson, who is hell-bent on finding the truth.
But when the woman Bob slept with is reported missing, he and Sarah start to fight dirty, and a high-stakes game of cat and mouse ensues. Filled with page-turning suspense and Jeneva Rose’s signature twists and turns, this book will have readers wondering, Can Bob and Sarah achieve the perfect divorce? Or will it be “till death do us part”?
Thank you to Jeneva Rose and Blackstone Publishing got my complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
I found this book to be just as insufferable as the first one. Except there was a fun deja vu bonus because it was basically an entirely recycled story.
There was no real plot twist. If you read the first book, you knew exactly what was going on.
Whoa! I thought I loved the first book in the series - A Perfect Marriage - then Jeneva Rose comes out with this highly entertaining, unputdownable sequel. Ms. Rose - you have outdone yourself with this one! Bravo!
This book was so ridiculously good! As you can tell, I thought it was even better than the first. Dark, fast paced with constant twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. Sarah is one savage character and I’m here for it!
I highly recommend reading The Perfect Marriage before reading this one. I promise you will not be disappointed!
Thank you to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for my advanced copy to read and review.
If The Perfect Marriage was the bait, The Perfect Divorce is the deadly trap. 🎣➡️🪤
This book is razor-sharp, jaw-clenching, and utterly addictive. Sarah is back - more venomous, manipulative, and unapologetically brilliant than ever. 🐍⚖️ With a law degree in one hand and a body count in the other, she doesn’t just play the game, she owns it.
📖 Couldn’t. Put. It. Down. The pacing is relentless with short, punchy chapters that had me saying “just one more chapter” again and again. The shifting POVs (shady husband, nosy sheriff, and Sarah herself) kept me hooked from start to finish.
💥 What you’ll get:
Twists that left my jaw on the floor. 🤯
A tangled web of lies, betrayal, and courtroom chess matches. ♟️
Morally gray characters you love to hate (and hate to love). 😈
Snappy dialogue packed with wit and bite. 💬✨
An ending that blindsides you in the BEST way. 🎢
This isn’t just a thriller - it’s a wild, unputdownable ride. 🚨
Favorite quote:💫
“I knew when I married Bob, I would divorce him one day, because men are like lawyers. They can’t be trusted. And I would know because I am one… and so is he.” 💔⚖️
I actually loved this 😂 I liked it even more than The Perfect Marriage. Listen… this plot is ridiculous and outlandish and unimaginable… but it’s a thriller! That’s how it’s supposed to be! This was fast paced and I didn’t want to put it down.
We meet a lot of the same characters from the first book. Sarah Morgan has been married to attorney Bob Miller for 10 years, after her first husband, Adam, was sentenced to death for the murder of his mistress (all the plot from book 1). Sarah and Bob have been facing some stress of their own when Bob is caught having an affair. The divorce is on… and so is the body count.
Like I said, I enjoyed this a lot. Well done Jeneva. Super fun ride with this book.
Book Review: The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (okay... 3.75 but who's counting?) Let me start off with this: I. AM. OBSESSED. WITH. JENEVA. ROSE. 😍🪶 She is my literary mother goose, and I will never not want to grab coffee, talk murder plots, and just bask in her storytelling genius. ☕🔪💬 That said… The Perfect Divorce, the highly-anticipated sequel to the 5-star stunner The Perfect Marriage, didn’t quite live up to the hype I personally built for it. And oh, the hype was real. 📈🔥
🎭 The Characters: Love Some, LOATHE Others First off — Sarah Morgan. Still that girl. 🧠💁♀️ Intelligent, sharp, resourceful, and honestly, even after orchestrating one of the wildest murder cover-ups in thriller history, I still found myself rooting for her?! HOW. DOES. JENEVA. DO. THAT. 🤷♀️💼⚖️
But then… there’s Bob. 🧓👎🗑️💢
If you’ve read The Perfect Marriage, you probably remember Bob Miller as the smug, borderline-prick colleague with zero redeeming qualities. So imagine my emotional whiplash when I found out Sarah marries this guy and has a kid with him 😳🤯 Like… Sarah, babe. You framed your cheating ex and got away with it… but THIS is your husband?! WHY?! 😩
Bob continues to be a walking red flag parade 🚩🚩🚩 — with quotes that make you audibly groan, roll your eyes, or scream "GROSS" at your Kindle. Seriously, every time he showed up on the page I got secondhand irritation. 🙄📖
🌀 The Plot: Messy in the Beginning, Twisty by the End The first half of the book took a while to find its rhythm. 🐢⏳ It was a bit scattered, trying to catch us up on 10 years of Sarah’s life while weaving in new characters and plot threads. I struggled to stay hooked — which was surprising, considering how tightly plotted and fast-paced The Perfect Marriage was.
BUT THEN... The second half hit different. 😮💨💥 The pacing picked up, the tension escalated, and the classic Jeneva twists started rolling in like plot grenades. 💣🕵️♀️ DNA evidence, missing women, ugly divorces, and former characters coming back with vengeance — chef’s kiss. It reminded me why I fell in love with this twisted universe to begin with. 🍷📚🖤
🧃 Final Thoughts: Juicy, But Not Perfectly Blended This was a solid sequel with strong bones and plenty of juice, but the flavor just didn’t quite match the first glass. 🍇🥂 There were moments of brilliance — especially with Sarah’s character arc and the smart legal mind games — but there were also moments that made me scream internally, “NOOOO NOT BOB AGAIN.” 🙃
Would I recommend it? YES. Would I reread it? Maybe not. Will I read anything Jeneva writes ever again? ABSOLUTELY. 📖💋
Rating: 3.75 Stars ⭐⭐⭐✨ 📦 Worth reading for the drama, the plot twists, and Sarah — but go in knowing it’s not The Perfect Marriage 2.0.
Till death do us part... or until Bob opens his mouth again. 😒🔫
yeah no lol. I didn’t like the perfect marriage—honestly dreaded my way through it—but i still gave this one a shot bc the ARC reviews had me hopeful. Huge mistake. It’s literally the same book. Same vibes, same plot structure, different characters doing the most with zero logic. If you loved the first one, maybe this’ll work for you. but if you didn’t? don’t bother. I’m begging authors to stop recycling the same story and calling it a sequel.
The Perfect Divorce is the sequel to Jeneva Rose's 2020-release, The Perfect Marriage. I had never read that 1st-book, but ended up getting an audio-ARC of this one, which I couldn't resist due to one of my all-time favorite narrators, Adam Lazarre-White, being part of the production.
It's not often you see Duologies, or Trilogies, in the Thriller space, and I wasn't 100% sure that I would need to read the 1st-book, but I'm so, so, so glad that I did.
I definitely feel like you need the background of The Perfect Marriage in order to be able to truly appreciate this one. Rose did so much character work in that 1st-book that's imperative to have going into this one.
Also, if you're wondering if this book is necessary though, perhaps it's just a cash grab, and can't hold up to the 1st-book, I would also put those thoughts to rest. Somehow, Rose made this even more twisted than the 1st.
This one is set 11-years after the events of the 1st-book, and MC, Sarah Morgan, has moved on. She's remarried, she has a daughter and she's ready to leave the past in the past, exactly where it belongs.
Unfortunately, yet again, Sarah finds herself deep in marital woes after her husband, Bob, is caught out in a one-night stand. Sarah wastes no time filing for divorce. She's not putting up with any funny business anymore.
However, in the midst of this, DNA evidences surfaces that could also bring the horrible events of the past back into the spotlight. When the woman Bob cheated with disappears, it seems like history may be repeating itself, but how?
This audiobook is so great. I definitely recommend that format if you're going to pick it up. The cast truly was able to bring all of the drama of this story to life.
Rose did a great job refreshing the Reader on what happened in that 1st-book as well, without making it feel repetitive. So even if it's been a while since you read The Perfect Marriage, I don't think you'll have any trouble getting into this one and feeling like you have all the info.
I was impressed with how wild and dark this one got. I wasn't sure if the same diabolical nature of the 1st-book could be repeated again, but it definitely was.
Thank you, Blackstone Publishing, for providing me with a copy to read and review. If you're looking for a completely OTT-Popcorn Thriller Duology, look no further, the Perfect duology is it!!
"He's already a part of my past. He just doesn't realize it yet...." Now this is how you write a sequel! I thought the first book, A Perfect Marriage, was good—a solid 3⭐️—but this one was such a great follow up, and I was so much more invested this go round. It didn’t suffer from the dreaded second-book curse, and Jeneva truly delivered.
The story picks up a year after the events of the first book and is packed with twists and turns. The tit-for-tat dynamic between the main characters was masterfully plotted, keeping me guessing who would come out on top.
While there’s one loose end that wasn’t tied up, Jeneva has mentioned this will be a trilogy, so I’m confident it’ll be addressed in the next book. I can’t wait to see how it all concludes!
Goodness!!!! She sure is evil!!! cant decide if you want to route for the MC or watch her get caught in all the web of lies she's made. Good continuation to the first book! but honestly would like Sara to get hers in spades too!
Exceeded my expectations and was better than The Perfect Marriage IMO.
I read The Perfect Marriage about 4 months ago and gave it 3 stars. I struggled with the sloppy police procedures and unlikely-ness of many aspects. And, honestly, the ending reveal made me feel tricked, but this book addresses it all and makes me less salty. I think if I re-read TPM now I would appreciate it more because everything is addressed and comes together. TPM ending left me not trusting any of the characters this time around. I love Sarah’s mannerisms and demeanor! She’s not your typical damsel in distress cliche. This book has A LOT going on. It kept my attention and I was able to breeze through it within a couple days. Whether you loved TPM or felt meh about it, I highly recommend reading The Perfect Divorce!
Thank you to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. This review will be shared on NetGalley and Goodreads. Pub Date Apr 15 2025
The beta read for this book was INCREDIBLE and I have no doubt the final version will be even more amazing!!!
Thank you Jeneva for allowing me to read an early copy of your work ❤️
Jeneva Rose does not disappoint in this highly anticipated sequel. Sarah Morgan’s story is one that keeps you hooked from beginning to end, with plenty of twists and turns along the way. TPM & TPD are undoubtedly stories worth reading again and again, and recommending to every thriller reader looking for a fast paced and additive story.
Thank you to Jeneva Rose for allowing me to beta read this book, and blackstone publishing for the ARC.
I will read just about anything Jeneva Rose writes. I actually loved The Perfect Marriage so I was excited for this one!
I enjoyed it, the audiobook performance was amazing!! I listened to it in one sitting and couldn’t stop. It was a tad far fetched but idc. It was fun! Sarah is insaaaaane.
I will admit that The Perfect Marriage wasn’t my favorite book by Jeneva Rose, but this one was so much better and completely made up for the things in that one I didn’t love. I listened to the audiobook for this one and I liked the narration quite a bit. This was full of twists and turns and while I expected pretty much all of them, I still enjoyed the wild ride. Sarah’s second marriage is also ending, this one she is ending with divorce. Bob is not pleased with this turn of events and is desperate to earn her forgiveness. But their past is also coming back to the forefront as new evidence suggests it’s possible that Sarah’s first husband didn’t kill the woman he was convicted and put to death for killing. This is full of drama and deceit and I enjoyed it. Overall I gave it 4.5 stars rounded up for being a fun ride.
The Perfect Divorce had an okay mystery, and I really enjoyed Sarah’s plotting and the touching idea behind her daughter’s name. I was surprised by one twist at the end, but half the book felt very slow, and the audiobook narrator for Sheriff Hudson didn’t work for me. Bob felt like a carbon copy of Adam, which got a bit annoying. While I suspect there will be a third book, I don’t plan to continue the series. I’ll still check out other books by Jeneva Rose because I love her online presence, but this series is done for me.
1) I was not a fan of author Jeneva Rose's earlier releases, so I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Rose's 2025 release.
2) This twisty domestic drama with its unapologetically badass protagonist, who redefined the word "relentless", delivered nonstop surprises for readers.
3) I also adored the book's multiple surprise reveals.
THE TWISTS?
Just when you think you have everything figured out, you don't.
Loved the ending.
This second book of Jeneva Rose's PERFECT series is also a standalone read.
(I did not read Book #1)
I listened to the full-cast audiobook narrated by Mozhan Navabi, Andrew Eiden, Adam Lazarre-White, J.S. Arquin, Brittany Pressley, and Andi Arndt.
Full-cast audiobooks are always a treat, and all narrators gave superb performances.
