This isn't a life I would have chosen for myself. In fact, I wasn't given a choice at all. A date that should have ended in a marriage proposal turned into the night my life ended—at least my human life.
I believed my life was over. Destined to live in solitude for eternity. But then I smelled something spicy. A scent that called to me beyond anything I've ever experienced. It called to me and I tried to ignore it, until I couldn't any longer. Until the day I picked up a stranger stranded on the side of the road, and knew he would flip my life upside down.
Scarlette, or Scar as she is known among my colleagues, is an intimidating force, and the person I have to convince to accept my work proposal. The only thing that stands between me and my appointment with the infamous Scar is a flat tire that threatens to make me late, until she arrives.
The scent of lavender follows her everywhere—intoxicating and mesmerizing. The gorgeous brunette who comes to my rescue is none other than Scar. I had no idea our lives would tangle together in pleasure and horror in the days to come.
ARC Review Tropes/Trigger Warnings: PRN/ Vampire/ fated mates/ coworkers/ stalker Coupling Type: MF Characters: MFC: Scarlett MMC: Andrew Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Favorite Quote/scene:“Scarlette, you potentially stalking me seems small in the grand scheme of confessions tonight, don’t you think?"
Over all thoughts on book and/or author: I really liked that spin on this vampire book. It's normally the man that's the vampire that's stalking the human woman. I loved that Scarlett was that vampire. Andrew was adorable and such a Golden retriever I liked him a lot. I just wish it was longer, I didn't want it to end just yet.
Bitten By Choice by Casiddie Williams was such an enjoyable listen! 🖤🩸
One of my favorite things about this audiobook was the dynamic between the FMC and MMC. Scarlette was not your typical vampire heroine, and I absolutely loved that about her! There was something so intriguing about her character, especially the amount of restraint she showed when it came to Andrew. 👀
Watching her fight against what she wanted, trying so hard to resist being with him, added such an interesting layer to their dynamic. That tension between desire and restraint had me hooked! Sometimes, it’s the characters who fight their feelings the hardest that make the story even more compelling. 🖤🔥
The narration by J.C. Veyr and Jett Jensen brought the story to life and made experiencing Scarlette and Andrew’s dynamic even more enjoyable. 🎧
If you’re looking for a vampire romance with intriguing characters, romantic tension, and a little spice, this one is worth adding to your TBR!
🖤 Final Verdict: A captivating vampire romance with a heroine who stands out and a dynamic I really enjoyed!
⭐️ Rating: 4/5 🌶️ Spice: 3/5
Have you listened to Bitten By Choice yet? And tell me… are you a sucker for a vampire romance with a character who fights her own desires? 🩸👇
The female narrator’s sultry/dreamy tone and the male narrator’s deep gravely voice are both perfect for a 🌶️ book.
A woman is turned into a vampire against her will and then abandoned by her maker. Decades later she meets a human whose blood calls to her. This book wastes no time and jumps right in. Lots of spice and seduction, will they/won’t they be together, all while dealing with complications from outside forces.
This was a fun read with a good mix of spice and humor. A grown up version of Twilight with Rosalie as the FMC instead of meek Bella. I would love to see another book in this world.
Supernatural romance Lust at first sight Strong FMC who holds the power Spice level 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Where to start??? The plot? PHENOMENAL. The writing? INCREDIBLE. From start to finish, I couldn't put it down. The characters, the development, the thrill of hearing the story unfold, everytime I thought I knew what was going to happen, BAM!
The chemistry between the MMC and the FMC was palpable, so immersive that I was able to easily loose myself in this world.
The narrators did such a wonderful job of bringing these characters to life and Casiddie, I love your brain! This story was epic, thank you for giving me this great escape.
Scarlett and Andrew. she's a strong female that knows what she wants. Andrew comes across as so sweet and innocent. but the two together are amazing too bad Andrew never remembers any of their bedroom escapades. Scarlett stalks Andrew and he's none the wiser. but his desire for her just keeps growing. this is a great book of cat and mouse. I love that the vampire is a woman instead of the always male. it's a really good read

I devoured this book! This is truly a thrilling vampire dark romance that offers a quick and enjoyable escape. The narrative is engaging, and the evolving relationship between Scarlett and Andrew, marked by their growing obsession with each other, is captivating. If you're looking for a spicy and fast-paced read, this one hits the mark!
I’m a sucker (pun intended) for a bad@ss FMC! We don’t get very many books where the FMC is the stalker! This book was a good time from start to finish. The story pacing was steady all the way through and the spice had some unique vampire mind game twists to it! Highly recommend!
This is the best vampire book I've read in a long time. I love that the vampire is the FMC, where other books are always the MMC. I loved it so much I wish it never ended. Who am I kidding? I love all of the books this author has written, but this is her first paranormal novel. Crossing fingers, we get a werewolf novel soon.
Such a refreshing take on a vampire story! The storyline felt unique and different from so many others I’ve read, and it kept me hooked from start to finish. I loved how the twists unfolded and how every chapter pulled me deeper into the world. If you’re looking for a vampire read that stands out from the rest, this one is definitely worth picking up!
This book was well written. It is about a human turned vampire and a human. Some of it was predictable but the characters made me want to keep reading. I love shorter books and this one was great for that.
I just love the way this story draws you in! The strong FMC is a new twist for me and I have to say it made me smile. This book is light hearted and so sweet.
This is fantastic smut 👌. The plot comes on quick and keeps moving through the book. Most of the book centers on the two main characters' (FM) physical relationship. I 100% loooooooved that the FMC was the morally-grey dom. I wish we could have gotten more regarding their backgrounds, and the history of mates, or even just vampires in general. There is not much for charactor archs, and no world building at all, but....that's OK, because, this is the perfect pallet cleanser after reading something that tears your heart out. Did I say the smut is *chef's kiss*!!!
