Morgan O'Gallagher thought the hardest part was over, but finding out she is part demon is just the beginning as Tech Duinn awaits her arrival. She is faced with the cold reality of her true purpose and the plans that her father had set in motion long before she was born. Time flows differently and the source of Morgan's magick is calling for a new dedication as a goddess makes herself known, and she will not be ignored...
Less' will is tested For the first time in twenty-three years, he is forced back into his Maker's Form. His dark hidden truth and his long-lost name will be revealed. Will their bond be strong enough to stay the path before them?
Patricia resides in California where she works as a dance teacher. She found her love for writing as a pastime in the summer of 2010, and produced Part I of the Antiserum Novels (Paranormal YA/NA) at the age of 16. Since then, she has released The Rising and Venom–Part II and III–of the Antiserum Novels. After taking a long stint away from writing, she returned to release Ruby Nights, a dark paranormal romance and the first book she has released into the Romance genre. Now, her newest novel, DEMI, is set to release October 1, 2024.
Morgan and Less are back, in the second book of the duet.
Morgan thought finding out she was part demon was the hardest thing she would face… she was wrong!
Less will also be tested. Will their bond be strong enough to get them through?
Another fantastically researched and presented book. The book picks up from book 1 and answers questions that may have been left unanswered and introduces you to a whole new cast of characters!
The spooky season vibes are absolutely perfect for settling in with a cozy cup of tea- witches, demons, vampires, Celtic lore/mythology and magic. Grab book 1, Demi, if you haven’t read it already and go straight into book 2 to wrap things up!
Thank you to the author, Patricia Carrigan, for the opportunity to read this book. I received an epub and am leaving my review voluntarily.
Morgan O'Gallagher had me in book one, and book 2 was everything I hoped for and more. Everything she stands for is everything that makes her morgan.i been loving the journey for her .
the dedication had me emotional!!!
Less I love him I always have . the chemistry between them ,the way you csn tell how they felt without even saying it. I love it when he would always calls her a little demon .
I love less cause with what he can do with emotions IYKYK
imagine being able to do that and fully be able to feel relief, especially if you were grieving so deeply .
this quote always makes me wanna cry and love it deeply
I was a bit scared for Morgan cause of her asshole father he sucks big time
“My love for you goes deeper than the darkness between all the realms, Morgan. You are a gift, a treasure, my light when my own shadows are too dark, and I will die before I lose you again.”
( as someone with depression to read when less said this made me love him even more . I dont want to spoil it. it's truly amazing)
The research that is done for this duet is unreal. I love the world that Patricia has built with Morgan and Less. The thought that was put into Less’ history is amazing. I don’t know a lot about Celtic folklore so this was a lot of fun to read and learn about.
I love Less and Morgan. I was so worried they wouldn’t have their happy ending that they both deserve. I was on the edge of my seat trying to think of every way it would work out. Having them both out their faith into each other and the Goddess made perfect sense. And Jonathan, I just want to hug him and tell him everything will be okay
Fate vs. free will, love, and myth collide in a world of danger.
Morgan O'Gallagher believed the worst was behind her, but discovering her demonic heritage is only the beginning. As Tech Duinn calls her home, she must confront the chilling truth of her destiny and the ancient plans her father set in motion. Time twists strangely in this realm, and a powerful goddess demands Morgan’s loyalty. Meanwhile, Less is pushed to his limits, forced to reclaim his Maker’s Form and confront the dark truth of his past. With secrets unraveling and identities revealed, the strength of their bond will be the key to surviving what lies ahead.
With two familiar main characters, the narrative feels rooted in continuity while simultaneously propelling the story into bold, unexpected directions. The book kicks off where its predecessor left off, but the stakes are raised, and the conflicts are more complicated, diving deep into themes of identity, fate, and personal growth.
Morgan’s newfound knowledge of her origins and past weighs heavily on her, and her internal struggle is portrayed with great depth. She’s trying to reclaim a sense of normalcy and peace, but the demons of her past - both literal and metaphorical - won’t let her. We watch her grapple with questions of identity, belonging, and acceptance, which is both heartbreaking and relatable.
Less, ever the devoted demon, attempts to reach her, but their attempts at communication often devolve into passion-fueled moments. The angry sex, while hot, is symbolic of the emotional chaos brewing between them, making for a raw, real exploration of love and frustration. Especially, as he continues to fight for her through time, forms, and new realms.
Transported to Tech Duinn, elements of Celtic mythology are thrown into the mix - gods, mythical creatures, and vampires emerge, expanding the scope of the narrative. The landscapes are beautifully described, giving readers just enough to feel the atmosphere without revealing everything. It’s a world of mystery, danger, and awe; yet, it's one Morgan doesn’t trust, which adds to the tension.
The heart of the story lies in the battle between fate and free will. As Da Derga’s plans are revealed, and her future introduced to her, she can’t accept it, let alone him. He’s overpowering, bloodlusting, and will take whatever he wants. Her journey becomes not just one of survival, but of defiance. Her belief that destiny is a tool of cruelty is one that resonates deeply, and the emotional weight of her struggle to overcome her fear and learn to trust in herself - and those supporting her - is both powerful and inspiring.
It was wonderful to be back in the world of Morgan and Less with book two of the Demi Duet. Demi Demon had all the glorious witchy, demon and vampire vibes for this spooky season.
We absolutely adore the care that Patricia takes crafting her lore and magic. It is filled with wonderful Celtic gods, spells, ceremonies, holidays, and more. It made the world feel fuller and more believable. We also appreciated the growth in Morgan's and Less' character and relationship. Our FMC and MMC growing both as individuals and in their relationship. Learning the full extent of their worth and their love for one another. Lastly, we want to highlight our baddie Abhartach. He was such a villainous and intriguing character that utterly enthralled us in every scene he was in. We'd most likely be a goner and part of his thrall of whores- we were captivated!
We recommend adding to your Halloween TBR if you enjoy paranormal romance, supernatural stories with demons / witches / vampires and don't mind a sprinkle of dark romance and elements. Two paws up from us 🐾
Demi was the first arc I ever read and loved it! I have been waiting for Demi Demon since then because I needed to know where the story went. This was a great finish to the duet. I love this one even more than the first. I am excited to order both of them for book trophies and reread them every fall. Patricia does a wonderful job pulling you into the story and making you feel like you are the FMC going through every emotional up-and-down. I ate this book up! I would’ve read it faster had I not been interrupted by kids and a hectic back to school schedule. The plot was very engaging and the characters are complex and interesting. I can’t wait to see what Patricia has in store for us next!
This book completes the DEMI duet and continues to follow Morgan and Less. I loved the Celtic mythology that was so expertly weaved throughout the story and especially loved thr deeper understanding of The Morrigan. It’s very clear Patricia does her research!
I loved the growth we got to experience with these characters as well as their conflicts. Much like last time my favorite parts were the sexy scenes and witchy scenes! Definitely recommend especially if you enjoyed book one as i think you’ll love book 2.
Ok, so first of, wow. Secondly, WOW. What a way to end this absolutely thrilling duet. The plot on this one has me in a chokehold even now. The added lore was just incredible. The romance was romancing and spicy. I love Morgan's character. She went through hell in DEMI, but in this one?! Gosh, darn, she can't catch a break. I love how she dealt with everything, and I loved watching her grow. Now Less??!! Talk about husband goals. He went above and beyond for Morgan for a demon he is such a sweetheart deep down, I adore this man. Honestly, I would recommend pre ordering this 100% it was awesome.
This was an arc I was honored to receive. This had the perfect witchy fall vibes! I loved this book and the atmosphere. It had romance, mystery, spooky elements and it did a great job representing anxiety and the constant overwhelming thoughts and feelings people have. Great job! 👏🏻
Closure. That’s what I have with book two. It was perfection. I like the style of the chapters as journal entries. It helps keep “time” even when time is out of control. Less is still amazingly hot. The things he says are swoon worthy. Morgan’s journey this book is intense and I was getting and at her for not reaching out to a certain goddess til the last minute but it all worked out. 5 stars!
DEMI-DEMON was the perfect follow up to book one, DEMI and I absolutely loved these books. The writing style is by far one of my favorites and the characters are so well written. They are truly so easy to love and find yourself connecting with. After finishing my reread and of DEMI and dealing with that ending yet again, I was so glad I had DEMI-DEMON in my hands because I was more than ready to see what our girl Morgan was about to rain down. The connection between Morgan and Less was so truly beautiful. Honestly one of my favorites to date. I love them together so much.
Loved this conclusion to Morgan's story! it took a turn I wasn't even close to expecting, but I was more than happy to go along for the crazy ride!
It is amazing how much research Patricia puts into this story and her hard work shows! She truly has a passion for it and it comes across in the story she has created.
I had the honor of beta reading this book and I am incredibly excited for everyone to experience the final chapters in Morgan and Less’ journey!
As a witchy girl myself, I admire the research and attention to detail that Patricia brings to not only her characters, but the craft and practice itself. She blends modern Celtic witchcraft and lore with the paranormal-creating a world of demons, goddesses, magical bargains and even vampires.
Plus, she’s insanely good at writing spicy scenes and we get quite few of those moments with our favorite redhead witch and her sexy shadow daddy demon.
Not only does this book continue where Demi left off, but new friends (and enemies) are introduced and we get answers to a lot of the little questions that were left in the previous book. There’s also a villain that I absolutely LOVED to hate and lots of magical encounters that test Morgan’s ability and her bond with Less. I absolutely loved the ending and I highly recommend both books.
The first book was one of my first few ARC reads and I loved it so much and have been waiting for book two impatiently since. So to be lucky enough to receive book two as an ARC was super exciting.
Book two was everything I hoped it would be, I loved this conclusion to Morgan and Less' story. I loved their dynamic with each other and especially loved the spicy times. I do not know much, if anything of Celtic Lore but I loved reading about it as it makes this story so different from most everything else I read which is always nice for a change. I'm happy with how this story ended and look forward to more works from this author in the future.
absolutely awesome! This book was so so good! We love Less and it was a perfect ending to the duet. However I would love to see more of them! You would of course start with the first book in the duet Demi which is available now. And perfect for your spooky needs. go now and support my girl! @pcarrigan.author
rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ spice : 🌶🌶🌶 - If you like dark and cozy witchy books, then I promise this is one for you! The amount of research that must have went into this duet is insane. There's so much information about the celtic gods and rituals and it's telling how much time and soul went into this.
Morgan was a force! I was impressed by her magic from both her witchy and demon sides, and i enjoyed going through the detailed preparations of all rituals that Morgan took part in. Although she spent much of her adventure to Tuch Duinn in denial of the Goddess reaching out to her, she was tough as hell and never stopped fighting against the path shes been forced into.
My favourite was finally getting Less' history of how he came to be a demon, and so intertwined in Morgan's family; I was not prepared for the actual answer though! Learning about this shadow daddy and his connection to the Underworld was jaw dropping! I definitely wish there was more of this demon coming cause he is fascinating!
thank you to Patricia Carrigan for the opportunity to receive this ARC. The witchy vibes hit just right and I gobbled this up!
Book one Demi was a cozy fall read with a morally grey demon 😈.
Book two Demi Demon Is an adventure into an unknown realm, A struggle of acceptance and a love undefeated!
The vibe of book two is so much more eerie and enveloping. I couldn’t put it down I felt like I was part of the story!
I didn’t know who to trust! Morgan’s life was falling apart and the gods were no where to be found. Even less seemed like he had more important things to do. And when Morgan finds herself in unfamiliar territory everyone around her seems to be keeping things from her. Those who seem to share her concerns were less then helpful.
In this book we learn about Morgan’s blood line. her namesake and why it is so important that she finally accept who she truly is. In the meantime we also learn about less and his Maker. It seems they may have more in common than they’ve realized. It seems Fate has always been at play.
The book is so beautifully researched and written! You can tell the time effort and respect the author dedicated to this masterpiece! 🖤
Book two of the duet continues Less and Morgan's story, and in a way that I didn't expect. I liked the plot and direction of the story, as well as how it introduces us to a new place with new characters. Morgan and Less are definitely put through the ringer here, testing their love, patience, and loyalty, not just for themselves, but for each other and the goddesses. Morgan is pushed into a fate that she would never choose, that takes away her free will, and her bond with Less. That broody demon is having none of it, though, and he does whatever he can to get back to her.
There are a lot of questions from book one that are answered in this one, and I'm glad that it was all wrapped up so well!
Like in the first book, there was a lot of research done on Celtic folklore and pagan rituals, and you can definitely tell that Patricia took the time to learn, interpret, and include all of that knowledge and research in this book. I loved it in book one, and loved it in this one too!
I loved the witchy vibes in book one and I was so excited to dive back in for book two. This was the perfect ending to the duet. The author does an amazing job taking inspiration from Celtic mythology and the amount of research she does really shows. From spells to arranged marriages, this book has it all. I love Less and Morgan and there were part of this book that were heartbreaking. I was rooting for them from page one.
Less is so protective of Morgan and watching both of their character growths kept me turning the pages. The imagery and dedication to magick and rituals is so well done, and there was just the right amount of spooky vibes to make this a perfect fall read. If you like witchcraft, Celtic inspiration, spice, and arranged marriages then look no further for your next read.
Um, excuse me but that was absolutely the best witchy book to begin my fall reading! @pcarrigan.author brings us the sequel to Demi and it doesn’t disappoint. Witchcraft, Vampirs, Brownies, and **coughshadowdaddycough** Demons. 😏
The attention to details when it comes to the magick in this novel is one of the biggest highlights. Celtic Paganism. This is the type of witches we always hear about, creating teas, rituals, and so much more. It’s the perfect witchy read that just puts me in the spooky mood.
The relationship between Morgan and Less really blooms in this book. Book one it was what a typical relationship would be, but this one goes beyond borders. The ability to love each other.
I absolutely love this set and already can’t wait to reread them. 💚
