December 30, 2025This is book 8 in the series, so why has the audiobook narrator been changed? Why not wait for the usual narrator to be available?
This is one of of those series where the narrator does different voices for each character and in this particular series that's what makes the series so brilliant. The individual voices of the grannies, especially Hattie and Irene are SO well done. The new narrator tries to do this, but there's not much difference between the voices - except for Hattie and it's jarring just how off the mark that voice is. It's only a short book (less than a 6 hours), but I'm not sure if I can get through it.
Gave up. DNF.

Seize the day!
The grannies, Nikki, Owen, & Lloyd go on a cruise. As always, a body is discovered. The victim died of alcohol poisoning, but the grannies don't believe that for a second. So, this story is about the grannies, Nikki, & Owen snooping around to find out what really happened.
This is also about all the fun things that happen on a cruise, like all the yummy food, outfit changes, suntanning, dancing, singing, laughing, etc. This was a fun read!
Greta was sick and stayed in her cabin the whole trip, Nikki and Owen got closer, and Grandma Geraldine continues to seem as though something is wrong.
Can't wait for the next book! Hopefully Shannon is writing it now!

The Glock Grannies. Cozy Mysteries
I loved this series. They were so much fun. Lots of laughs along with the mysterious events they loved solving. I would love having a bunch of grannies in my life!

I just love the Grannies they have a lot of energy and spunk cant wait for the next one want Nicki and Owen to actually get together the outcome was great never thought of it couldn't believe it

I listened to this cozy mystery set aboard a cruise ship featuring a cohort of sleuthing grannies and their sidekicks. It was cute but, as are most cozy mysteries, predictable.
