Filthy Rich Billionaires #2

Filthy Rich Redemption

Rate this book
A BRAND NEW flirty, addictively steamy billionaire romance from Rachael Stewart. Perfect for fans of Nicole Snow and Ilsa Madden-Mills.

Taylor

I wanted a baby—no strings, no messy emotions. Just a donor I could trust—my best friend. He didn’t hesitate or ask why. He said yes… with one no clinics, no cold procedures. Just him—his bed, his way. I should have said no. But I wanted this. And I didn’t realise how much I wanted him. I told myself I could handle it, keep my heart locked tight. The moment he touched me, all those lies fell apart. Now, I’m falling—for a man who never promised me anything but his body. And my deepest desire risks becoming my darkest downfall. But now there is no turning back.

Axel

She asked me to give her a baby. No love. No future. Just a piece of me. I’m not a good man. I’m not the kind you build a life with. But this…this was my one chance to touch heaven and pretend it wouldn’t burn me alive. So I took her. Over and over. Knowing she’ll never be mine. But now I’m addicted. Possessive. I don’t want just her body—I want her soul. Her future. Her everything. And when she walks away—like we both know she will—it’ll break me. Because I’d give her the world. But I’ll never be worthy of it.

Book two in this series and this one is steamy, hot and fabulous, we know Axel and Taylor from book one and how determined they both are that love and marriage will never be on the cards for them even though they have both seen Theo and Sadie find their HEA but it is not for them.

It came as a shock to Taylor at the wedding of one of her best friends, Theo and her sister Sadie that she wanted a baby a no strings attached baby no father she wanted to do this alone but she wants her best friend Axel to be the father, when she asked he was shocked but he said yes under his rules that it happened in bed not in a clinical situation it had to be his way, OK she can do this, get pregnant and he would walk away but the moment he touched her things changed and she could feel her life changing.

Axel was not born to be a father after the way he grew up and being asked to be the father Taylor’s baby came as a big shock could he do this, would this be his chance to get close to Taylor the way he had always wanted to, without opening up to Taylor, yes but his way only and just one touch told him that he had lost his heart more than he thought he ever could, when she walks away he will break into many pieces.

This one is a fabulous story so very sensual could Axel and Taylor find their HEA open up to what has been in their hearts for such a long time. I loved it and loved catching up with Theo, Sadie and Lottie and I do highly recommend this one to any romance reader who loves a steamy romance but it is a good idea to read book one first and I can’t wait for the next one in the series, thank you MS Stewart for another beautiful story.

My thanks to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for my copy to read and review.

(Descriptions found at end of my review)

”You know I don’t do gentle, Tay.”
He grips my hip, thrusting me flush against his body, and fire licks across my skin.
“I’m incapable of soft.”
His other hand slides into my hair, fighting against the pins as he takes hold, tugging hard enough to make me gasp. My eyes water while my body pleads for more.

Should I read in order?
I think you maybe should? There’s references to prior events, including something that happened to Taylor and the repercussions of that. And you get to know both Axel and Taylor a bit in book 1. (though it would probably be readable alone for rebel readers, it won’t be confusing or anything)

Basic plot:
Taylor’s biological clock is running and she’s ready for a baby – who better to ask than her best friend for no strings attached transaction for him?

Give this a try if you want:
- contemporary romance
- childhood friends to lovers
- they work together
- unrequited love (from the hero)
- bargain – she wants a baby
- put a baby in me
- faster burn with some he doms elements, bondage, praise
- higher steam – 9ish scenes (I think, might have missed some)

Ages:
- she’s 38, hes about 40

First line:
Family.

My thoughts:
This one had a totally different feel to me than book 1! I liked a lot about this one, but some things were hard for me to get used to.

I don’t know something about the writing style just felt so different to me than book one. This one was written with a lot more...partial thoughts? Like lots of phrases and it’s fine but it was hard for me to get used to. I can love some of those scenes for when a character is kind of lost in a strong emotion but it was a lot in this book and I wasn’t connecting with that aspect of it.

This isn’t a second chance, but it had a lot of flashbacks to show their life together as children / young adults and their background. I love my linear stories so that was another thing I wasn’t in love with.

But overall this one had such a strong emotion running through it and I loved that. Axel is just bursting with this longing for Taylor and the way he tries to pull back and control himself with her and just keeps crumbling for her was so delicious. I liked both mains, I loved the put a baby in me plot and also enjoyed that the ending wasn’t perfect and easy but it was so right for them.

Wow! Just! What an unbelievably amazing book! I absolutely adored this book from the very first page to the very last and was saddened it had ended🙈. I read the first book in this series and I was desperate to be approved for this one and when I had that email
To say NetGalley had approved my request boy did I scream! I loved the first book and the second book didn’t disappoint either! Was phenomenal and I couldn’t get enough. There was a heck of a lot of spice, which I loved as I enjoy a little or a lot of spice haha did have me a little sweaty at points but it was still incredible. The friendship turned relationship between Axel and Taylor was just wow, blew my socks off and in a good way. It was a brilliant story and I flew through this, reading it in one sitting as I couldn’t put it down. Bloody brilliant book and thoroughly enjoyed. Roll on August for the 3rd book in the series😍

ARC read review

Wow! I enjoyed reading “Filthy Rich Redemption”. It was a roller coaster ride from the beginning to end. Yes it took some time to get into the flow at the beginning of the novel, especially getting all the names straight but once it pulled me in, there was no turning back. It had everything we could ask within a romance… mind blowing chemistry, romance, vulnerability, funny punch dialogues that make you laugh out loud. Lead character who we learn to dislike and love at the same time. It was definitely a fun light read for an easy relaxing day

This is the second book in this series. I liked the first book better - I think it was a sweeter story than this or something.

This story focuses on 2 lifelong best friends who embark on a pact to get pregnant. There is lots of spice. For me a bit too much because I was more interested in the emotional aspects of the story. The spicy parts felt a bit repetitive to me.

This is a typical romance and it follows that formula where the main characters over react and don’t always communicate.

There were a few features of the writing I found odd. The author used “ain’t” a lot and it seemed so out of character that it was distracting. Other than that it is well written.

If you are a fan of spicy romance you will enjoy this series.

I was excited to get to Taylor and Axel's story after book 1, but unfortunately, this just didn't really do it for me. It was just a bit too repetitive in my opinion and I couldn't really get attached to the characters.

That being said, I really enjoyed reading about their past and getting to know their story. It added a lot of depth to Axel's character.

If you want a quick, very spicy read, this one's for you !! (but check your trigger warnings) 🫶🏽

Thank you Netgalley for an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion 🫶🏽

I don't often take advantage of the fact that I have a auto approved badge with Boldwood books on Netgalley, but when I saw that this beauty was live on there a few weeks ago, I couldn't resist.

I finished it in two days, and it's taken me over a week to be able to write something about it.

Well, when I say write something, I mean.....

Good gawd, I...well, hmmm, yes,,,,, no words, just.....wow, my goodness....Oh, gawd Axel....you're, well....wow!

That's it!

No other words needed....simply, Axel, thank you for a wild ride!

I suppose that I should write something more substantial, but alas, the words have failed me, I have become a blathering idiot (though not so much different to my usual self!) I've descended into a melted, dazed pool on the floor, not even sitting in the fridge can cool the burn from Axel.... I mean, this book, yes, that's it, the book... see, my mind has melted to mush.

I knew that this book was going to be a frenzied ride of turmoil and lust as soon as I 'met' Axel in the previous one, Filthy Rich Temptation, but nothing and I mean nothing prepared me for the torrent of raw emotion that enveloped my heart, and my mind, and I daresay even my soul. This story....Axel's story in particular is...well, brutal, it's hard and emotional, heart-wrenching and intoxicating, there is a darker-edged sensuality and sinful lust. It's hot, seriously hot, burning your eyes if you look too hard, hot, but as ever with a Rachael Stewart story, the heat goes hand in hand with a deeply moving, supercharged with emotion, with two flawed and vulnerable people at the centre who have to go through absolute hell to find that peace of the happy apple pie.

The actual plot is a pretty simple one at its core. Taylor wants a child, as so many other women do. The only difference here, she doesn't want the father's interference; she wants her own life with her own baby, no men allowed. But, this is where is get complicated (for Taylor). She decides the sperm donor is going to be her best friend, Axel. In her head, they will head to a clinic, he'll do his part and then walk away, and they'll live happily ever after, she with the bun in the oven and him still her best friend.

Oh, how wrong she is!

This is Axel, huge, brutal, ruthless, Axel. A man of darkness. A man who doesn't take no for an answer, a man who always get's his way, a man who isn't averse to taking what he wants, a hard, complicated, guarded, a man with a tough past, and a screwed up sense of the world, but also a sinfully sexy man who won't accept her proposal, without conditions of his own. Conditions he hopes will scare her off, divert her away from the ludicrous thought of him being a father. After all, who would want a child with the devil?

In no uncertain terms, there will be no sterile clinics, shooting into a cup, no turkey basters, if she wants his kid, they do it the old-fashioned way, his way, how he wants it, when he wants it and as many times a day or night as he wants it. And with Axel, it's hard and explosive, rough and gentle, intoxicatingly erotic and so, so sinful. Again, and again and again, all in the hope she will run.

But she doesn't, and that changes everything!

That first time together is hot, scorching hot, blisteringly hot, and it sets the stage for what's to come, which is rampant and heart-stopping. But, in her need for a child and his need to keep her at bay they destroy their friendship, one that was forged in hell as children, one that is now in tatters on the floor like discarded underwear, and in it's place is a relationship of yearning, of complicated emotions for the other, a chemistry and powerful need is building, the air is crackling, their friends are noticing the change, and all the while, they are cementing themselves together.

Their journey isn't easy. Axel is far too damaged, emotionally fractured in mind and soul, for an easy story. He has a hard past and lots of conflicting emotions, which he has buried deep over the years, and other emotions which he has hidden behind the mask of a hard, ruthless businessman. His story is one of redemption and second chances, and it's heart-wrenching, though there is lightness in the form of his deep, all-consuming love for Taylor.

Jeeze, can this man love a woman, or what!

It may not be for the faint-hearted; his love is as passionate as it is, it's also tinged with darkness, but when he does allow himself to fully embrace his emotional side, it's a beautiful and powerful force of nature. Honestly, this guy really crept under my skin into my heart; it's like your whole being is being encircled by those damn fine and glorious inked arms.

This story a rollar-coaster, one of heartbreak and yearning, of loss and trauma, of finding the courage and take the chance for the happiness everyone deserves, it's not easy and it will trigger so many deep emotions from a lot of people, its agonising and torturous my heart broke for Taylor and her all-consuming need to be a mother, you feel her pain month after month, her tears and her bravery to keep trying and eventually seeking help.

The outcome, well I won't say too much, but the last few chapters really hit hard, it's not a sterotypical happily ever after as such, more of a happy for now with an open door for possibly more brief looks into how Axel and Taylor are getting on in future books, but it works for them, it's perfect for their hard fought for story and I really think Rachael Stewart has given them a story and ending which is full of hope and deep passion.

Hmmm, I really have rambled with this one, haven't I?

I think it's pretty evident now at how much I love this book, this is Rachael Stewart at her absolute, queen of romance, very best, but with an added naughtiness, and punch in the gut angst and a beautiful sensitivity to the subject matter. I'm now in repetition territory, I fear If I don't stop, I'll keep on going around in circles, but it's just so damn good!

Axel and Taylor will stay with me for a very long time...in fact, they may never leave me; they have broken through the barricade of my heart, and I doubt they will ever leave.

When your best friend is the one you need ‘help’ from…

Taylor is the kind of woman who knows what she wants, and always finds a way to get it. Now that not only her biological clock is ticking, but also as she sees the joy her little niece brings, Taylor wants to experience motherhood herself. However, she wants to do this on her own, and she does not want any donor. She wants a donor that she trusts… and who is better than her best friend Axel? Not that she wants him to be an actual father, she just wants a baby from him. Axel is initially flabbergasted by Taylor’s request, but only on one condition: no clinics or procedures, the baby has to be ‘made’ the natural way. Because what Taylor doesn’t know is that Axel has always wanted her, but as he doesn’t see himself as a good man, he doesn’t believe he is worthy of her. So with this one chance to be with her, how can he refuse? However, the longer they are trying to get pregnant, the longer Taylor realizes that who she truly desires is the man she cannot ever have. And Axel realizes that when the moment arrives and Taylor will walk away, he will be left broken…

Having read the first book of the series, and having already met Taylor and Axel with them helping out Sadie, I was very curious to see where Rachael Stewart would be going with the next chapter in the series!

It isn’t mandatory to have read the first book, but I suggest to read it, as it will give you a better idea about all the dynamics between not only Taylor and Axel, but all the main characters. And it will also give you a better idea about who Taylor and Axel are. And of course, that first book is also a great book, so more fun too for you! 😊

Taylor is the kind of woman you don’t mess with. She knows what she wants, she knows what it takes and she isn’t afraid to just go for it. It is obvious that she is a very strong, independent woman. She also isn’t the kind of person that shows affection. But I don’t mean it in a way that she doesn’t love, because with Sadie we see how much she loves her younger sister. Taylor is just the kind of person that doesn’t has her heart on her sleeve.

Perhaps I have to admit, while she is very protective, caring and loving towards her family and her closest of friends, I did not see in her the maternal feelings she starts to have at the start of the book. But that can be on me, because of course, we don’t know Taylor all *that* well, do we?

I could understand Taylor, that she doesn’t want just any donor for her baby. With how she and Sadie grew up, it makes sense in her way of thinking wanting the biological father to be someone she trusts, knows and also knows that he would never take a claim on her child.

Luckily for her, she knows one person that she trusts implicitly, and she knows that he does not have an interest in being a “real” father. And that is her best friend Axel…
Axel, that we know is this tough guy, someone you don’t want to mess with. But also the guy that would do just about literally everything for the people he cares about and loves. That desire to do anything, goes even that far that he agrees to give Taylor a baby.

But with his condition, to use the natural way, we see already a little bit who Axel truly is, and what he feels.

And with his real emotions and feelings revealed to us, I somehow couldn’t stop myself from feeling sorry for Axel. Not only because it shows us what he truly feels for Taylor, but because how little he thinks of himself…

Yes, he had a terrible youth, and yes, perhaps he has done wrong things while growing up. But he has redeemed himself in so many other ways, and he has been able to change his life for the better. So why wouldn’t he be worthy of love? Why would he not be enough for Taylor? Why would he be having ‘evil’ in him?

So even if Axel this tough guy, on his own he shows a vulnerability that just made me want to jump into the book and give him a comforting hug, and I just wanted to show him what I saw, that he is in fact a good person. But I also knew that Taylor would also be perfect for the job 😊.

Funny isn’t perhaps the correct word to use, but I found it a bit funny to see how the dynamics are shifting between Taylor and Axel, and how they both see each other in a way they didn’t expect. We know that Axel is a Alpha man, and I didn’t expect any different in the bedroom. And he for sure delivers 😊. Yet there are a few moments that i was a bit stunned by his ‘alphaness’ 😊.

Of all the things, I didn’t expect Taylor to going along with Axel, following his demands and follow his instructions, that have no room for any kind of negotiations. And yes, also and especially in the bedroom! 😊

Of course, as a reader it doesn’t come as a surprise when it becomes clear to the pair of them that the other party has not always been completely honest about their feelings. And that made me also very curious to discover how the reactions would be. And I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised!

Now, another non – surprise is that there is a point where things are going terribly downhill, as something happens that seems impossible to overcome for Taylor and Axel. That angered me a little bit very much (😊) because the pair of them have gone through so much, past and present, and they have grown so much even throughout this book that I just wanted things to work out for them without any further hiccups.

Rachael Stewart wrote this book about two very strong characters, yet the more you get into the book, you see a vulnerability in both of them. We see that behind the strong façade is a person (applicable for both Taylor and Axel) haunted by the past, afraid to change the strong existing relationship, doubting the own self-worth and afraid of admitting the deep, hidden feelings…

This book show us the vulnerability of characters, but also their strengths. It shows us also several steamy moments, that fit so well with both characters. And it shows us, and most important, how courage and understanding, acceptance and trust, can just change everything, for the better.

Saying I loved this book, would be too easy and it would never express exactly how I feel about it! Rachael Stewart just did once again deliver and exceeded my expectations that were already sky-high! 😊

Oh, my heart.
I finished this book late last night/early hours of this morning because there was no way I could go to sleep until I had. I cried throughout the last few chapters, but thankfully I was smiling again by the end.
What a rollercoaster of emotions!
Back to the beginning, this story starts with a bang (in more ways than one!). WOW! Hot is insufficient a word. If you’re not a fan of an erotic scene this book might not be for you. You’d be missing out on such a gorgeous love story though!
Filthy Rich Redemption pretty much starts where book one finishes, but at Christmastime with Theo, Sadie, and Lottie as they begin their new lives together. I loved their story and it was so good to catch up with them again. I’m so happy that Axel and Taylor get to share their stories on this occasion though, as heart-wrenching as it is at times.
Axel had the most horrendous childhood with parents who don’t deserve to be called that. As a result, he feels like he’s damaged goods. Someone no-one would want to be with other than for the night. He doesn’t feel worthy of anything more. He couldn’t be more wrong though. He might be big and hard looking on the outside, but he’s definitely more than meets the eye! (How he is with three-year-old Lottie is just so cute).
He’s been best friends with Theo and Taylor since they were teens, they’re as thick as thieves and their friendships are solid. Axel has been in love with Taylor the whole time though and she has no idea! Imagine keeping such strong feelings to yourself for more than twenty years, especially for someone you see all the time. It must be agony.
When Taylor asks him if he’ll father her a baby, no strings attached, she has no idea what she’s asking for, and where such a request will lead them. She knows she can trust him with her life though, so there’s no-one better.
Axel being Axel agrees but insists on doing things ‘the old-fashioned way’. Taylor is wary at first, not wanting to ruin their friendship, but let’s just say Axel proves to be quite persuasive!
The chemistry between these two is off the charts!!
My heart went out to Axel. He’s so wants to give Taylor everything she desires, but he tries his best not to betray his true feelings to her. His pain is almost palpable, and he was breaking my heart. Taylor soon realises there is far more to this than a business arrangement though. I’m not at all surprised that she falls for him. They are absolutely meant to be together, and I was panicking when I thought things might not work out the way I had hoped for them both. As I said, the last few chapters…. I haven’t cried so much reading a book for ages.
I don’t know how you do it, Rachael, but you create characters I can’t help but fall in love with. I’m not sure who I love more now, Theo or Axel! 😉
I was so looking forward to this story, and I have absolutely LOVED it!
I can’t wait for book three!

** Many thanks to Rachael Stewart for my advance kindle copy for review **

Filthy Rich Redemption is Rachael Stewart’s latest steamy romance and the second in her new series Filthy Rich Billionaires. It’s an angsty British romance between longtime billionaire best friends and business partners. The chapters alternate between Taylor and Axel’s POV, and the story contains profanity and sex scenes.

38-year-old Taylor is a self-made billionaire who grew up poor. Her best friends since age 14 are Theo and Axel. Taylor’s father was an alcoholic, and she pretty much raised her much younger sister, Sadie. Taylor worked as an escort, with Axel serving as her security, and eventually she opened up several gentlemen’s clubs across Europe. Theo became a trader, investing his friends’ hard-earned money and working around the clock to amass a fortune. In Filthy Rich Temptation, Theo let Sadie and her adorable three-year-old daughter stay with him for the summer while they fled an abusive situation.

After being reunited with her beloved younger sister and adorable three-year-old niece, Lottie, Taylor experiences maternal urges for the first time. She decides that she wants to have a baby but knows that she needs to hurry at her age. She approaches Axel to see if he’s willing to serve a sperm donor, since he’s one of her two best friends. Axel agrees on the condition that they try to conceive by the traditional way.

40-year-old Axel is a billionaire from his bodyguard/security business, but he doesn’t feel like he’s worthy of his best friends. He suffered childhood abuse and neglect from his parents and still carries the emotional scars. His propensity for violence is a barrier that he keeps between himself and Taylor. He has secretly loved her in a romantic sense for years, but she only knows that he loves her in a friend-type way.

Taylor and Axel don’t want Theo and Sadie to know about their arrangement, so they fake a friends-to-lovers story for them. It doesn’t take long for Taylor to discover that she does have genuine romantic feelings towards Axel. However, she has to reconcile that with her feelings of jealousy because Axel slept with every woman in London. Meanwhile Axel has always been resentful of Taylor’s activities with both male and female clients, although he didn’t know if she enjoyed it.

Filthy Rich Redemption is a sex-filled angsty romance with a lot of profanity. There’s not a lot of character development; just pining and sex. There’s supposed to be another story in this series, but there were no hints about the main characters.

I have to admit that when I started reading this book I didn’t realise that it’s the second in a series, so I haven’t read the first book. However, this really didn’t matter as I soon realised that this can be read as a standalone.

Main characters Taylor & Axel & their friend Theo met as teenagers & have been each other’s family ever since. All three had a difficult start in life but now they all have highly successful & lucrative careers. Theo has just married Taylor’s little sister Sadie, & Sadie’s delightful 3 year old daughter Lottie has come into all their lives. Since she’s spent time with Lottie, Taylor has realised how much she wants her own child. After considering all the options available, she decides her best option is to ask hard man Axel to help her. Surprised, Axel agrees but insists he he’ll only do it the natural way, knowing it’s the only way he’ll ever get to hold her - he’s loved her from a distance for years, but has kept it to himself, never daring to speak out for fear of losing her friendship altogether. Over the next few weeks the atmosphere between Taylor and Axel becomes incredibly intense, the mutual attraction is powerful & things quickly become very hot & spicy between them. They realise just how much they love each other but are also very scared as they both know just how much there is to lose if a “relationship” goes wrong.

It’s a great story, absorbing & well-written, communicating the intensity of Axel & Taylor’s feelings for each other, which felt raw & authentic. Unusually for me, when I’d finished reading, my recollections of the book were more of the feelings experienced by Axel & Taylor, rather than details of the story, which has made it a more satisfying read than I’d expected. The outcome was surprising; it is a romance so we know there’ll be an HEA, but there was an unexpected twist in their story. In some ways it’s been a hard read, with the author tackling difficult issues which could be triggering for some; the writer doesn’t pack any punches, but deals with these issues honestly & sensitively, & I found the conclusion satisfying.

Overall I enjoyed this book. Taylor & Axel are strong characters, scarred from life experiences, & consequently are very protective of each other & their close circle. I loved little Lottie, a sunny, unselfconscious & uniting character in her youthfulness, providing some lol moments. It’s a really good read & I can recommend it.

Thanks to Netgalley & Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book.

Filthy Rich Redemption by Rachael Stewart is the second book in the series and tells the story of Taylor and Alex, two best friends who have known each other for the past 25 years - a trio alongside Theo, the main character of the first book.

The story follows Taylor’s newfound desire to become a mother and Alex, the man she trusts more than anyone to be the father of her child. However, Taylor doesn’t want someone to share that journey with, and that’s when Alex comes into the picture as the perfect person to fulfill her dream. That’s when their arrangement begins: a contract between the two that establishes a relationship with no strings, no feelings, and no future family - until a positive pregnancy test, then it’s over.

Alex has to continue to deal with his feelings for Taylor, just as he has since they meet, but with a new twist: now he can have her. On the other hand, Taylor discovers a new side to Alex and is quick to fall for him, starting to want the future she dreamed of including him.

Honestly, I loved this book. I was intrigued by these two characters in the first book, and their story did not disappoint. The heat and chemistry were there from the get-go. Even though I had my doubts about the male main character in the first few chapters, they quickly went away as I read more chapters from his point of view.

Another aspect that was very important to their story was their niece Lottie - Sadie, Taylor’s younger sister, and Theo’s daughter. She is both partly responsible for Taylor’s realization of her desire to be a mother and for bringing out the softness in Alex, an otherwise serious and emotionless person.

Overall, I give this book 4.75 stars. As I already said, it was great - the falling in love, the confession, and the problems they had to face once they were already together, especially how their ending, despite not being what they had imagined and hoped for, was a happily ever after.

Looking for a quick, spicy read to end a reading slump? This is just the book to satisfy that.

A standalone book in a series about three billionaire best friends (Theo, Taylor and Axel) who are dealing with major life changes. At Theo's destination wedding in Italy, Taylor finds herself craving a life she never knew she wanted - one that includes a baby. With her biological clock ticking and a troubled past with trust, she decides that she wants Axel, her best friend since her teens to help her in this quest. Axel, who has dealt with an abusive familial past, finally agrees but decides, it must be on his terms, which is no clinics, they make a baby the old fashioned way. As their relationship heats up, lust quickly turns into something more but will old traumas get in the way of what could be love?

The plot of this novel is what initially drew me in and the author really did land the plane on it. Taylor was a strong FMC who maintained her power even through Axel's demands. Axel was a typical "bad boy" MMC but I still enjoyed his character growth through the novel. I also enjoyed that this book was truly a standalone novel, in that I didn't feel automatically like I didn't understand the relationship between Sadie & Theo (MCs from the first novel) but also, made me want to go back to see the details of how those two ended up together.

Thank you to #Netgalley & Boldwood Books for the ARC!

I first discovered Rachael Stewart when I read “The Puck Stops Here,” which was part of The Karma Club series. I really enjoyed that series, so I have been keeping an eye out for her new releases ever since. After loving book one of this series, “Filthy Rich Temptation,” I was especially excited to get the chance to read this next installment early.

From the moment I finished the previous book, I was eager to see Taylor and Axel’s story unfold. Based on the description, I thought I had a pretty good idea of what direction the book might take, but this story still managed to surprise me more than once. I always try to keep my reviews spoiler-free, so I will not go into details, but I will say that once the emotional threads of the story started coming together, I was not fully prepared for how much it would affect me. By the end, these were two characters I really just wanted to hug. Their journey had more emotional depth than I expected, which made the story feel even more meaningful.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It delivered the romance and emotion I was hoping for, while still surprising me along the way. I am also excited to see that there will be a third book in this series, and I will definitely be picking it up when it releases. I am really looking forward to seeing where this story world goes next.

**I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**

Thank you to LBT for having me on this book review tour and for my gifted copy of this epub.

Holy cow what a fantastic read !! Umm first I have to say the cover is fire yep so so good !! Really catches the eye and draws you in. Least did that for me !!

This book was about Axel and Taylor which I was so in love with soon as I started this book. Taylor is so happy that her sister and niece are back in her life but all she really wants is a baby. Cue in Axel he’s been in love with Taylor basically forever but he’s never said a word I mean that had to have been so hard. I couldn’t imagine. That would be pure torture for me. Yep couldn’t do it. No idea how Axel did this !!!
But Taylor asks him for a baby. Yep she does. And she has her own rules such as doing things the old fashioned way !! Taylor trusts him so she agrees. I don’t think Taylor knew what she getting herself into at all. Nope. The chemistry between these two is fire. Like watch out cause you may get burned.

Axel gosh my heart hurt for him. Like all he wanted to do was care for Taylor and give her everything without revealing how he really felt i just wanted to scream like Taylor hello don’t you see. I mean she did eventually but I felt like took forever !!!

I don’t know that I’ve cried so much in a book as of lately but holy cow did I ever with this book. I wonder is there an audio book ?

Overall best book ever. Highly recommend this author she is a top favorite for me !!

Having her sister back in her life, with her niece, and seeing her happy with her best friend Theo, has Taylor realising that something in her life is missing. She wants a child of her own, to love her and to love her back. She doesn't need a relationship or a man to make it complicated and messy; she's happy to do it on her own, but she does want DNA from a man she can trust, and who better than her best friend Axel?

Axel has loved Taylor from when he first met her, so when she puts a deal on the table, of wanting a baby, he sets his own rules down; doing it the old-fashioned way. But soon the two are catching feelings, and the contract willbe null and void.

I loved these two and this narrative so much that I cried through so many chapters.

Stewart gives us emotional themes such as found family and fertility in this novel, and it is so beautifully written I couldn't put it down.

I love the characters of Axel and Taylor, and the reader really is cheering for them from the very start. Each chapter will have you emotionally involved and invested. I loved the banter and the playfulness between Axel and Taylor, and our previous characters did not disappoint either, especially Lottie, who was one of my favourites.

This is a novel I could easily read again and continuously fall in love with, and I can't wait for more from this author.

Filthy Rich Redemption is the 2nd book in the Filthy Rich Billionaires Book series. Taylor and Axel, along with Theo, have been best friends for a long time - since Axel saved Taylor and Theo from some bullies. Taylor has decided she wants a baby and she wants Axel to be the father. Neither of them have wanted serious relationships and Taylor says she doesn't want anything from Axel other than his DNA. Axel agrees, but only if they do it the old fashioned way - because he's wanted her since they first met. And he thinks that's the only way she'll say no since he will always give her what she wants.

While it can be read as a standalone, you will miss a lot of the backstory between Taylor and her sister, Sadie, and there are a lot of references to what happened in the first book. The spice level in this book is off the charts, but it also addresses fertility and the emotional roller coaster you can experience while trying to conceive. It's also sprinkled with super sweet and hysterical moments, especially when Taylor's niece Lottie is involved. I have absolutely loved this series and the balancing of spice and difficult issues (domestic violence in the first book).

Thanks so much to NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and Rachael Stewart for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was my first book by this author so I had no idea of anything that may have come before in the series.
Axel the main male character has had a troubled upbringing and terrible childhood which has affected him greatly and given him poor views on marriage and fatherhood. So he avoids commitments and relationships. Taylor, his best friend is desperate for a baby so asks him for his help which he agrees to,as long as it’s with just him and in his bed. No spoilers here.
The chemistry between the pair was felt through out the book. Together they are combustible and this book certainly delivers on the steamy side. So if lots of hot and steamy scenes are not your vibe this book will not be for you. At times I felt the depth of heat was a bit much.
But for me the storyline and emotional bits were really well written and so much a part of this story, that it was more than just sex and gave context to their story. Friends who become lovers and the “fight” to not get involved.
One thing I really disliked in the book was the continual use of the word “ain’t”. It just felt that it didn’t match the rest of the writing style.
But otherwise an easy book to read which was enjoyable.

Sometimes, when you read a book, you can see exactly where it's going to go. In the case of Filthy Rich Redemption, a story about Taylor, who has never wanted a relationship or a family and her best friend Axel, who has always felt the same, the direction was clear. Taylor asks Axel to try to get her pregnant; she doesn't expect anything from him, and because he's been in love with her forever, he's happy to oblige. But of course, they're both going to fall deeper under one another's spell.
I enjoyed seeing Axel learn to accept that he deserved good things in life and that Taylor really could love him no matter what they faced. I also really enjoyed seeing Taylor see him in a completely new light, although I think she had perhaps always felt like that.
There isn't a huge amount of angst or fallout in this book, although there of course are some issues for them both to face and come to terms with, but it isn't dragged out as can sometimes happen in this kind of book.
Overall, this was an enjoyable and fairly quick read and I'd be happy to return to these characters in the near future.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and given voluntarily.

What do you do when the one thing you want is the one thing you know you can’t have? Well, if you’re Axel, you do whatever it takes to get some of the happiness while knowing it’s got an expiration date. Of course, you also try your hardest to NOT give in to the temptation of the life you know you don’t deserve. And if you’re Taylor, you’re trying hard to pretend like the original ask is enough. Like you don’t wish with every breath that this could be forever. But then….

Then you decide to try for forever anyway. Until it all comes tumbling down, that is. And it’s painful when it does, too. So painful. It takes some sage advice and a kick in the soul by one who has recently been down the same path to kick the sadness out so the brain and the grovel can plot, but it’s worth the pain. Especially since Axel and Taylor are done pretending like they don’t want their version of forever together.

This is surprisingly faster than Theo and Sadie’s tale, yet also angsty and almost a slow burn, as long as you don’t count the scorching heat when Taylor and Axel are together. So get comfy and enjoy the bumps in this road to true happiness. It’s worth the tears in the end.

I received an ARC from the Publisher and author. My review is my own honest opinion.

RS is a fabulous writer. I think I’ve loved virtually every book she’s ever written - because her writing is really so damned good. Whatever the plot, she creates credible and engaging characters whose stories I want to follow. Even when they are doing stuff that I’m not altogether happy about - I understand why and can empathise.

The first book established the friendship group and this book focussed on Axel and Taylor and the latter’s desire for a baby and her wish for Axel to be the father. What she doesn’t realise is that he’s loved her for years and he seizes the opportunity to have her - no matter how briefly by doing the deed the old fashioned way.

Axel is such an amazing character and I really found myself hooked into him and wanting him to find the happiness he actually deserved. But he was hard work. Brilliantly depicted by RS.

The relationship changes and the story focuses on how these two finally make it work despite all kinds of difficulties. I am not looking to book 3 in the series.

Last October I got an ARC for the first book in the Filthy Rich Billionaires series and I can say with my whole heart… I was OBSESSED. You don’t even want to know how I was sitting there, impatient and borderline feral waiting for book two.
So when I got the email from Bloodwood asking me to join the ARC team again, I was like: “Oana, you have a ridiculous amount of books to read… BUT THERE IS NO WAY YOU’RE MISSING THIS.”
Tayler and Axel??? Heartbreaking. Painful. Beautiful. Two best friends making a pact, a deal… and somehow, between boundaries, tension and childhood trauma, they realize they want forever with each other.
Axel is SO boyfriend-not-boyfriend coded it’s actually insane and I’m in love with him!!! Like sir??? I want to be your baby girl too 🔥😏 Tayler is literally perfect for him, she softens him in the best way and I’m just…I’m so happy for them 🥹
If you ask me what I highlighted in this book… the answer is: EVERYTHING. I basically highlighted the whole thing 🤣🤌🏻
Also… wanna know a secret? He falls first 😜 all broody, cold-hearted and everything.
Rachel, queen, you did it again. You stole my heart with this book and honestly… I don’t even want it back ❤️

I absolutely ADORED book 1 in this series so I couldn't wait to read book 2 and get back into this world and see Axel and Taylor get their happy story after how key they were to Sadie and Theo's tale from the first instalment.
I think the friendship between Theo, Axel and Taylor is just beautiful, they truly are the embodiment of a found family!
Lottie is still such a cutie, I loved how instrumental she was at breaking down Axel's walls.
It was great to get such in-depth continuation of Sadie and Theo's story too, I love seeing life continuing for book characters in sequels.
The pace is great, I finished this in two sittings, I was just so into it.
Axel and Taylor make a great couple, I loved seeing their wants and needs taking centre stage finally after lifetimes of protecting themselves.
There are some absolutely heartbreaking threads here, childhood abuse, fertility, and so much more. Despite this being a generally positive book, these pieces give it real heart and are treated with absolute sensitivity.
There wasn't a thing I disliked about this. I would absolutely recommend this, and the first in the series to fans of romance dramas.

This is my first request by Racheal Stewart , wont be my last i usually request horror and thrillers and thought i could do with a palette cleanser. This literally was read over 48 hrs , the synopsis reads really clear. We meet Taylor and Axel both have their ghosts and trauma's they dont see themselves as settling down or wanting children, But then Taylor see's her sister and longs for something differemt.

Taylor doesnt want to use the clinical route she wants to pick someone she knows, a proposal to made to Axel who is a alpha male and he comes across as getting exacly what he wants.

Both of them try to set some form of arrangments up but neither can manage to stick to it, this isnt a typical romance, it has so much more attached to it. Theres mixed feeling, power struggles, pressure to conform to societys expectations. Bopth of them are dominant independent characters, both dont back up which is why when you look on the synopsis you think this isnt going to work.

Both characters go on a journey of self discovery and although its spicey and messy and

I loved this!! I couldn’t put it down once I started. I just love a man who knows what he wants!!

Taylor was really well written, a woman who knows what she wants. She’s strong, independent and not afraid to follow her dreams. The love she has for lottie, melts me ☺️

“𝓜𝔂 𝓰𝓲𝓻𝓵 , 𝓶𝔂 , 𝓶𝓸𝓾𝓽𝓱 , 𝓶𝔂 𝓻𝓾𝓵𝓮𝓼”

Axl, lord that man can talk me through it anytime!! His love for Taylor has spanned for 25 years (not that she knows ) that man knows how to yearn. He’s possessive, passionate, dominant and he’d do anything for Taylor in a heartbeat! Even give her a baby, no strings attached.

“ 𝓘 𝓭𝓸𝓷’𝓽 𝓳𝓾𝓼𝓽 𝔀𝓪𝓷𝓽 𝔂𝓸𝓾 , 𝓘 𝔀𝓪𝓷𝓽 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓻𝔂 𝔀𝓱𝓲𝓬𝓱 𝔀𝓪𝔂 𝓘 𝓬𝓪𝓷 𝓱𝓪𝓿𝓮 𝔂𝓸𝓾.”

Their story is a whirlwind of emotions, pining, heartbreak and trauma. I loved the portrayal of the fertility aspect of the story for Taylor and my heart just broke for her.

Took me a while to get into and a little repetitive at times , but then I was hooked from beginning to end!!

Thank you boldwood for letting me read this early! ❤️

I went in knowing this book was going to be steamy. Knowing it was going to have a tug of war with feelings. Knowing it would have two people fighting their emotions and trying to disconnect. I did not know just how spicy and fun it would be.
These two are hilarious. They are both convinced they are able to withstand falling for each other just because they said they would not. We all know if you are willing to smash just to make a baby, then you are really, secretly, doing it because you want to. This means we end up with a story with two people who are very keen on each other, doing the deed on the regular and pretending they are not capable ching feelings, all the whole they both feel the same, but won't say it. It was hilarious.
I liked the characters and how awkward yet hot they were. They were cheeky, fun and had good banter, making the flow of the story and the deal really interesting and easy to read. I liked the tension between them and the excitement of their bonding. Overall a fun read.

𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀

I have been patiently waiting for Axel since Theo and Sadie's story.

While the first book tackled domestic violence this one also takes on a sensitive topic, of wanting a child and the struggles of it not being as easy as hoped and infertility.

Taylor has decided she wants a baby, but on her own. Not wanting a faceless sperm donor she goes to best friend Axel who uses her desire to fulfil a wish of his own, finally getting her.

With his only demand being they do it the old fashioned way, as expected this backfires spectacularly when those little things called feelings decide to get involved.

Axel had my protective grump setting dialled up to max and when Lottie called him the grinch my heart also grew three sizes too big and exploded alongside my ovaries.

This is another inferno burning hot and spicy romance with great characters and a far deeper plot than you expect.

This was my first book by this author, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. From the very beginning, I was drawn into the story and the atmosphere the author created. It’s quite a spicy read, so if that’s your kind of vibe, you’ll likely have a great time with it—the chemistry between the characters is intense and really well written.

Beyond the romance, I also appreciated the plot itself. It kept me engaged, and I especially enjoyed getting glimpses into the characters’ pasts. Those moments added depth to their motivations and made their connection feel more meaningful and layered.

That said, I do recommend checking the content warnings beforehand, as some themes might not be for everyone.

Overall, this was a really enjoyable read, filled with tension, longing, and that lingering sense of inevitability that keeps you turning the pages.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for providing me with this ARC.

Filthy Rich Redemption is an emotional and steamy read that kept me engaged from start to finish.

This book follows three friends—Taylor, Axel, and Theo. The three of them became friends as teenagers, and their bond only grew stronger as they became successful adults. Taylor and Axel have always loved each other, but neither ever admitted their unrequited feelings. Theo marries Taylor's younger sister, Sadie, which only brings the group even closer.

Taylor wants a baby and asks Axel to be her sperm donor. He agrees, and as they try to conceive, their love for each other deepens. Both of them have built huge emotional walls, but with each encounter, those walls begin to crumble. Eventually, they confess their feelings, leading to happiness—though the hoped-for pregnancy doesn’t happen as quickly as they wish.

I really enjoyed this novel by new-to-me author Rachael Stewart, and I definitely plan to read more from her in the future.
