The Bradford Boys #5

The Way We Win: A Small-Town, Single-Dad, Football Romance

Rate this book
Coach Bradford has a dirty little secret… and it’s not (just) me.

Jack Bradford is the oldest of the Bradford siblings, my best friend’s brother, and my son’s football coach. He’s six-two, dark hair, ocean-blue eyes, broad shoulders, and a square jaw that’s perpetually flexed. He’s a hero in our small town, and the gentle way he cares for his young daughter will melt your… everything.

I’ve done my best to show my interest, even walking down the aisle on his arm four times (in his younger siblings’ weddings). Everyone in Newhope ships us, but he always keeps me at arm’s length. I’d pretty much given up on landing this DILF, when an overbearing dad says my son is only QB-1 because I give the coach “special favors.” (I wish!) Then my ex-con ex-husband starts threatening us, and the walls break.

Coach Jack shows up at my door, sleeps on my couch, and his fight disappears. Being with him is beyond my wildest dreams. His secrets don’t scare me. He’s everything I’ve ever wanted… and more. Together, we’re a win, and at last I go from dirty little secret to dirty little wife.

( The Way We Win is a small-town, single dad, single mom, football romance with a HOT high school football coach, a sexy librarian, Friday night lights, ALL the Bradford fun, SPICE, and a touch of suspense. No cheating, no cliffhanger, and no third-act breakup.)

I hate to say it, but this was a bit of a miss for me :/ I am giving it 3 stars. I felt like there was a LOT of build up with Allie and Jack and while there was some angst, I still don't really know what made the man change his mind about turning her away for like YEARS. The plot about the other player coming in was a bit strange to me- I guess it added some drama. But them I felt like there steam was kind of flat- SORRY to be against the norm here. I have no problem with a dom, and I kind of liked the idea of that for Jack but there just didn't seem to be a lot of passion. I was also just confused by the pacing. They were together and it was epic, but then they had to stay separated for the public. I liked them together, and I liked how Tia played on the fact that Austin was leaving for college. How Allie was going to be going through this adjustment period. I loved Austin's relationship with Coach (Jack). And I loved Allie's relationship with Kimmie. I just didn't connect with all of the inner workings on this one :/ I did love seeing our side characters and all of the shenanigans.

Allie has been pining after her best friend's brother since he starts coaching her son Austin four years ago. But he has always kept things platonic. Never even made her think there was a possibility. Until now. Something has changed, and Allie doesn't know what to think about it. He is openly flirty with her. Looking at her like he wants to devour her. Kissing her? Is this a dream? Or could he feel about her how she feels about him? Well the answer is clear when he fills her in on how he has been fighting this. That he has tendencies that not everyone will like. That he wants to try them with her because it's her. And of course Allie says YES. Emphatically yes- she trusts Jack and knows he will take care of her. But even after all of that, they still have to kind of tip toe around each other. They don't want to disrupt her son's senior year anymore than it has already been disrupted. They don't want to add fuel to the fire that is the rumor mill. But after being each other's secrets, they decide who cares. Austin is in support. And they have strong feelings for each other. But then Allie's past catches up to her quicker than she thought it would. And she hopes that Jack can get to her in time for them to live out their days together. Because that's what he means to her- a future.

Jack has been after one thing since he met her. Allie. But he is too scare to make a move. Too scared she will push him away like his ex did. Too scared to invest in something that might not work. But fast forward four years, and her son is like his own. His daughter thinks so highly of Allie. He can't stop thinking about her. And what a future with her could look like. And after fighting himself for so long, he finally says why not. What have I been waiting for? Allie's ex is digging around, and he doesn't like that one bit. So he makes things clear to her. About how he feels. About what he wants and what he likes. And to his surprise she is all in. She WANTS to do these things with him. She just WANTS him. So he gets to explore this side of himself that he has been fantasizing about. And what he experiences with her is beyond what he thought it would be. But he is still a coach in the middle of his son. A coach who is coaching her son. So they sneak around for a bit. They keep things spicy and find fun places to connect. But he still wants more. He doesn't want to hide her. He wants to take her out and show the world that she is his. But then her ex is here and Allie isn't. Jack will stop at nothing to find her because he has a very important question to ask her.

This was an easy read and it was entertaining. I just found myself slightly disappointed. I am still not clear on what was happening with the new player who was Austin's competitor and his whole thing, but I think it is to setup the next gen spinoff that is coming? I would definitely recommend this book for some laughs, some spice and some hilarious characters.

Thank you to Grey's Promotions and Tia for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review :)

This couple was adorable!

I knew I was gonna love Jack's romance and this really delivered! He has had so much weight on his shoulders. He has looked out for and basically raised most of his siblings after their parents died. He is so stoic and steady. He's also a great dad to boot!

Allie is also a single parent and she's the best friend of his little sister, and her son is Jack's star football player. Her ex-husband has just been released from prison and the Bradfords are all bent on protecting her and her son. This makes Jack extra protective and he is constantly looking in on her.

These two are so drawn to one another and when their passion spills over, they have to keep it a bit on the down low. To keep any shade from being thrown on her son for favoritism, and to keep his family out of their business. Good luck, guys!

Jack also has a bit of a soft dominant side and he has been shamed by it before. Watching Allie embrace that and let Jack express himself with her was really special. They are adorable and also very sexy together.

This was narrated in a duet by Jason Clarke & Willa Jaymes. They did an excellent job and the audios are what continue to bring me back to this series. I love them so much.

Jack and Allie’s story is finally here and OMG… it was everything! I’ve been waiting for this book since forever, and Tia knocked it out of the park! From start to finish, I was completely hooked and honestly gagged by how good it was.

Coach Jack.. whew!! I did not expect him to be that spicy, but now I can’t imagine him any other way. His love for Allie, her son Austin (who he comes to love like his own), and even his daughter Kimmie was so beautiful to see. The beautiful family they’ve built, along with the friendships throughout the series, is just unmatched.

Tia did an amazing job wrapping up the Bradford Brothers Series with this one. If you love small-town stories, single-parent romance, and stories that make you laugh, blush, and maybe scream into your pillow a little... this series is calling your name. Start from book one and thank me later. I’m officially a Tia fan for life and can’t wait to see what she writes next!

I have been waiting for Jack and Allie's book and it was so good! I loved how they accepted each other and one another's kids with even blinking. I felt the spark there from book 1. I liked Levi and hated his dad, I'm glad he had the Bradfords. This was exactly what one would expect from Tia. I loved it. Thank you to Tia for the ARC.

I’ve always said it: authors somehow save the best for last. It’s like they know our hearts are already hanging by a thread… and still, they pull one final, beautiful punch—just to patch us back up with golden stitches.

This book is everything you hope for in the final chapter of a beloved series:
-Tension.
-A possessive, protective hero.
-Just the right amount of spice.
-Tears that cleanse.
-And a happily ever after that feels earned, heartfelt, and healing.

We’ve known Jack from book one—not just as a character, but as a cornerstone of this entire story. He stepped up as the “dad” of his siblings when the world fell apart. He gave up everything—dreams, freedom, comfort—to raise them. Jack is the kind of man who puts everyone else first. Always. And now, years later, while his siblings are building their own families, Jack is left with a quiet truth: he’s alone. Yes, he has his daughter, Kimmie. But emotionally, he’s still standing in the shadow of the life he never had time to build. Coaching high school athletes, he still has purpose, still has heart—but the kind of loneliness that follows a man like him... it cuts quietly and deep.

Then there’s Allie, who arrived in town years ago with a teenage son and a past full of pain. She had left an abusive relationship and was doing what she’s always done: protect her boy. She became a mom at eighteen and never stopped fighting to give her son a better life. And she did. Austin is kind, patient, emotionally aware—the kind of son any parent would be proud of. But now he’s heading off to college. And Allie, who has spent nearly two decades living for someone else, suddenly realizes: she’s alone too. She has friends, yes. But no one truly hers. No one to carry her heart with her.

And this—this is where their story begins.

What makes Jack and Allie so special is that they didn’t fall in love all at once. It wasn’t lightning. It wasn’t fireworks. It was something slower. Quieter. Truer. A friendship that bloomed over three years. Built on respect. On little moments. On soft glances and quiet care. Their connection was the kind that sneaks up on you—until one day, you realize your heart found home without even asking for directions.

One of the most powerful things about this book is how it paints love not just as romance, but as belonging. This is found family in its purest form—Jack, Allie, Austin, and Kimmie. Each of them brings something necessary, something tender. They help one another build something bigger than themselves: a second chance at home.

I read it in under 30 hours. I cried. Not because the book was sad, but because it hit all the places that still remember what it feels like to hope. I laughed. I blushed. I closed the final page feeling like I had been held for a little while. It’s rare for a book to do that. This one did.

And that epilogue? It wasn’t just satisfying—it was soul-soothing. It tied everything together with care and love. A real, quiet kind of magic.

If small town charm, lovable families, and swoony DILFs are your thing, this one’s a win!

The audiobook:
This audiobook! Willa Jaymes and Jason Clarke were perfection! Willa’s accent was spot on, and her emotional delivery made every line hit just right. Jason brought that deep, steady warmth that fits Jack to a T. Together, they didn’t just read the story, they became it. Every character, every emotion, especially the kids, felt so vivid and real. This duet narration elevated the entire experience and made it unforgettable.

The story:
I adored The Way We Win! The Bradford family never fails to steal my heart, and this book just glowed with warmth, love, and quiet emotional depth. Jack’s opening chapter absolutely gutted me! It was such a raw, painful moment. From there, the story bloomed into something full of heart, connection, and quiet joy.

Jack’s daughter, Kimmy, continues to steal the show in the most perfect way. This time, it’s the quieter, everyday moments that made me fall even more in love with her. Watching her keep Jack on his toes as he juggles single fatherhood was just precious.

As for the romance? BEYOND HOT!!! Jack and Allie have serious chemistry, a deep emotional connection, and so many moments that made me smile, sigh, and swoon. Their love story is packed with heart, heat, and happiness.

As always, this author gives us no third act drama, no over the top twists, just a deliciously satisfying romance full of lovable characters, small town goodness, and all the Bradford charm I’ve come to crave. I loved every minute!

Book Review: The Way We Win by Tia Louise

At first, I was a bit skeptical—this isn’t the type of book I usually reach for. But The Way We Win completely won me over. It’s a heartwarming small-town romance centered around a legendary football family, and it delivers all the feels: swoons, sighs, and unexpected steam.

The found family dynamic added so much depth, and I loved the way the characters leaned on each other, both on and off the field. Just when I thought I had the tone figured out, the story threw in some thrilling twists and a surprising amount of spice. I honestly wasn’t prepared for the heat level—especially given how sweet some of the moments were—but it worked so well.

If you're a fan of small-town romance, sports (especially football), a dash of thrill, and steamy scenes wrapped in sappy love, this one's for you. I’d absolutely recommend it and can’t wait to see what Tia Louise writes next!

What a way to end the series!! This was the perfect ending to the series. I absolutely loved Jack and Allie. The Way We Win gave me everything I could’ve wanted—and so much more.

The slow burn payoff finally hit—and it was everything that I could have hoped for. Jack and Allie did not hold back. These two were a total power couple by night, model parents by day. These two weren’t just perfect for each other. Those two just took each other kids in under their wings and loved and protected like their own.

Jack and Allie’s story has been building for so long now, and when it all came together, it exploded with emotion, heat, and heart. It was flawless.

Jack was intense. Protective. Hot. And totally obsessed (in the best way). Jack stepping up to protect Allie and Austin when her past comes back, SWOONY! Allie is strong, smart, grounded and always put the kids before herself.

I’m so bummed I didn’t get to know who was apart of the Marry-F*ck-K*** scene! But also so excited! Those became one of my favorite parts of each book.

I fell for this entire cast hard. Tia Louise wrapped up this series with so much heart, heat, and a few twists that I did and didn’t see coming. This one made me feel.

I’m already counting down to what Tia brings to us next. The next series will be so good!

Such a good ending to this series! I have been waiting for Jack & Allie's book since the beginning. It was adorable how they treated each others' kids. Jack was so protective over them both and that is so hot. As always, the found family and side characters were on POINT. Alsoooo that lil plot twist with Austin. Im holding out hope that we get to see grown up Austin in the next series 👀👀

🎙Narrated by: Willa Jaymes & Jason Clarke🎙

This is the first I have listened to Willa and I absolutely loved her version of Allie! She gave me that southern twang that isn't far from where I am. It said in the book she was originally from New Orleans, but her accent definitely wasn't from that region. There wasn't a Cajun or French dialect in the building. BUT that doesn't mean she didn't give Allie such an amazing voice!

I will forever and always be a Jason Clarke STAN! This man gives us allll the broody hero you never knew you needed! I was LIVING for him in The Grump Next Door by Brighton Walsh, and I couldn't have loved him more as Jack. If I would have read this on page his voice is what I would have chosen!

Okay, at this point you shouldn't be in shock and awe when I tell you this is a first from a new to me author 😂. I mean are you expecting that to be the first thing in my reviews now? If it isn't you may be new to my reviews. Or you just don't give a hoot 🤷‍♀️. Either way thank you for reading this 😘.

Tia has been pn my TBR for years and when I had the chance to listen to this I jumped! It gave me all the Friday night lights that I never fell for when the show was out. This book wouldn't have been the same without a little suspense and some serious 😍 SEXY time between Allie and Jack!

I haven't read the whole series like so many pther reviewers have, bjt that isn't going to stop me from telling you that you don't need to read the other books before this one. But I know it would give you so much background!

I loved that Allie had such an affinity for books 📚 and not just her being a librarian but also being the third string coach (according to Allie) to the drill team. She also had a waitressing job, which in itself can be a whole handful but she was a champ 🏆!

I really loved Allie and her passion! Allie and Jack had a slow burn 🔥 until it sped all the way up! Then things really got steamy! Allie being the amazing person she was not only cared for her son Austin, but she also watched Jack's daughter Kimmy! I absolutely LOVED 😍 Kimmy! She literally made this book go from a 50388393 🌟 to 987867888 🤣. Her curious nature and just her as a whole made this book so much better!

I also truly loved seeing Austin throughout the book and their things teenagers go through. High School crushes, pregnancy, not knowing how to get a girlfriend. But the best thing was when Austin made it a point to be friends with the one person no one else wanted to. He made sure that his friend had a place no matter what.

Where do I even begin with Daddy Jack?? 😍🔥🌶 Okay that says A LOT right there. But in case you need more lemme tell you something good! Jack was the protector who was willing and did take the chance to keep his person alive and well. He had such a big heart and couldn't help but have feelings for Allie even if he never said anything!

I loved how he spoke to Kimmy whenever there was an interaction. It was a beautiful thing to hear. But lemme tell you about little Kimmy and her high kicks from the drill team 🤣.

This girl had some serious kicks to show everyone and I have to say the funniest part was when her uncle told her not to kick too close to her dad because she would make him a soprano 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I laughed so hard about that!

I couldn't get enough of this family and I cannot wait to read more of Tia's books to catch up on what I have been missing all this time!

The final book of Tia Louise’s Bradford Boys series is finally out and it was perfection! We absolutely loved reading Allie and Jack’s book. Thank you to Tia Louise and The Author Agency for the ARC.

We love a single mom and a single dad so to have them in the same book really did it for us. The way that Jack loved Austin will melt your heart, the way that he was so proud of him throughout the entire book. Austin has Jack as a solid father figure who he looks up to and respects. Jack has been there for Austin from the beginning even before he was his coach. And Allie and Kimmie were the absolute cutest relationship! Each of their relationships with the kids even before they got together is so sweet and the dynamic between Austin and Kimmie kills me.

Speaking of family… the way they blend with the Bradford family gives me the found family vibes that I go absolutely FERAL for in a book. One of my favorite parts was when Garrett takes Allie home and asks her if she wants him to come check the house with her…then proceeds to check out the entire house 😩 The sisterhood between the wives is literally the best! They are always willing to throw down for each other. The entire family shipping them so hard cracks me up (Kimmie’s prayer 😂).

Jack and Allie are perfect for each other. Jack is the perfect protective alpha who is willing to sleep on her couch, goes to her house while she is home alone to check on her, and is willing to wait until the season is over to protect Allie and Austin from the gossip. His protective side only makes Allie’s crush grow. We finally get to see Allie’s history and the longing she has for Jack. Allie also gets to live out her romance reader fantasies with Jack and his dominant side 😏. All it took was for the right woman for him to be accepted for his darker side in the bedroom. Just another example of how this couple is perfect for each other❤️

Although we are so sad for this series to end we can’t wait to see what is in store for the next generation!

From the moment The Bradford Boys series kicked off, Tia Louise had a hit on her hands. And now, five books later, we finally get the story many of us have been secretly (okay, not so secretly) waiting for—Jack and Allie’s long-anticipated happily ever after. The Way We Win closes out this unforgettable small-town series with heat, heart, and a hero worth falling hard for.

Jack Bradford, the eldest Bradford brother, is a single dad and the town’s high school football coach. Allie, a single mom and the school librarian, has been quietly crushing on him for years. Their chemistry has been simmering in the background across the series, and Tia Louise teases it perfectly throughout the earlier books—building that delicious tension while never taking away from the main couples. That’s what makes her storytelling so masterful: she gives you a full, satisfying story in each book while planting just enough breadcrumbs to have you eagerly awaiting the next.

In The Way We Win, the slow burn finally ignites when Allie’s troubled ex is released from prison and could be heading to town. Jack, who’s kept his distance for far too long, steps in to protect Allie and her son, Austin—who just so happens to be the star quarterback Jack has mentored since day one. What follows is a swoon-worthy, spicy, can’t-put-down romance filled with emotional intensity, fierce loyalty, and scenes that prove Coach Bradford definitely knows how to call plays… on and off the field. 😜

Jack’s daughter Kimmie, just seven years old, adds the sweetest layer of banter and charm to the story, bringing warmth and laughter in all the right moments. And of course, Louise doesn’t shy away from the grit—there’s just enough suspense to keep you on your toes without overshadowing the heartfelt romance at its core.

This is a love story about second chances, single parenthood, and finding home in unexpected places. With family loyalty, swoony moments, football field drama, and a dash of small-town suspense, The Way We Win is a pitch-perfect finale. Even better? A second-generation spin-off is just around the corner, and if this series is anything to go by, we’re in for another touchdown.

5 Star Review The Way We Win
(The Bradford Boys #5) by Tia Louise

One of my favourite tropes is single parents and as both our couple are single parents, this was a win/win for me.

Coach Jack Bradford ticked all the boxes for me as a book boyfriend. He is protective, dependable, caring and totally swoon worthy.

He has brought his siblings up and now it’s his turn to find happiness.

I loved how he was determined to protect Allie from the town gossip. Such a supportive man who is determined to put everyone first no matter his own feelings.

As their relationship evolved it made for an entertaining and edge of your seat read/listen.

This is a story of romance, family, friendship and confronting the past, coming to terms with it and taking a leap of faith.

The narration by Jason Clarke and Willa Jaymes brought the characters to life for me. Their voices were easy to listen too and they brought all the passion, drama, romance and humour to their performances. They most certainly did justice to the wonderful characters and story written by Tia Louise.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

** Audio Review **
Bless my southern-loving heart. The Way We Win by Tia Louise was a sweet and swoony small-town sports romance that made me all warm and gooey on the inside. I couldn’t get enough of Allie and Jack’s undeniable chemistry, full of so much longing and spice that had me soaring and blushing throughout the entire book. This is book five of the Bradford Boys series, but it can be read as a standalone.

Willa Jaymes and Jason Clarke perform this audiobook in duet-style narration. This is the first time I’ve heard these two paired together, and their voices complemented the characters in all the best ways. Willa’s soft, southern-accented voice gave Allie the perfect touch of grace, passion, and sophistication that made me adore this hard-working mama so much. Jason’s deep, growly timbre conveyed Jack’s protective, dominant, and dreamy demeanor brilliantly, ultimately making this man irresistible. Both narrators brought a certain longing and fire, portraying the secret with a touch of forbidden chemistry between Allie and Jack.

Overall, I loved this book. If you are a fan of a small-town romance with a hot, stern high school football coach, a dedicated school librarian, a talented quarterback son, a feisty, outspoken little girl, a poetry wall, a dangerous ex, dare dishes, family support, loyal best friends, steamy first kisses, threatening texts, forbidden spice, Halloween festivities, state championships, new beginnings, love declarations, and a HEA that will win over your heart, then you will love Allie and Jack’s story. I always look forward to more from Tia Louise.

The Way We Win is the fifth book in The Bradford Boys Series. It is a contemporary, small-town, football, friends to lovers romance with a single mom, a single dad, a bit of danger, and a guaranteed HEA.

I loved Allie, Jack, their respective kids, Austin and Kimmie, and the entire Bradford family. I loved the action, confrontations, and the drama of the storyline. I enjoyed catching up with what's happening with the prior couples in the series too. I adored the sense of family and just how much it means to all the characters. It's definitely one of my favorite things about this book and the series.

Jack and Allie are amazing together and I loved their chemistry. I loved the relationships that they have with each other's children as well. It's been a long time coming for this couple, but they finally get their much deserved HEA.

The writing, flow, and pace of the story were excellent, as were the characters, character development, relationship development, storytelling, plot, storyline, and world building. I really loved this book and would definitely recommend it.

What an awesome family, but really disappointed with Jack and Allie's relationship. First she was his dirty little secret. Then it felt as if his siblings were all pushing Jack to pursue Allie.

Jack was into BDSM. In fact his ex wife left him, as well as their precious daughter, because of his "proclivities". How could anyone abandon little cutie pie, Kimmie Joy? No, that selfish woman wanted to pursue her singing career. Nevertheless, when Kimmie Joy came face to face with her "mother" and asked her, "Who are you"? I almost fell off the chair!!!

Winning for love!

Small town, big hearts is a great trope to read especially when the chemistry is smoking and the characters are perfect for each other. Jack is the local high school coach and Allie works at his father's restaurant as well as being the school librarian. Add in the craziness of the family and an ex who is just out of prison and you get a read you can't put down!
Can't wait to read the next book!

ARC Review: Thank you to Tia Louise and The Author Agency for sending me a copy to read and review

Coach Jack! I know anytime a MMC thinks the words “I know from personal experience my private tastes aren’t for everyone, and I won’t take that chance with her.” Things are gonna get kinky. Jack did not disappoint. Jack is a single dad to a seven-year-old daughter. This is my first book of this series, but it’s easy to tell that Jack and Allie’s relationship has been simmering under the surface.

Allie is the school librarian. She’s a single mom, and her son is on the high school team that Jack coaches. When a new player comes to town, she and Jack have to grapple with keeping their relationship a secret to avoid showing favoritism. When danger comes calling, Jack and his brother are quick to jump into action.

Little Kimmie Joy had me laughing out loud. I loved the banter between all of the characters. I especially loved Edward’s character. He had some of the most heartwarming moments in the book. This book has me wanting to go back to read the rest of the series.

Ayrıca smut sahneler ❤️‍🔥🤞fenaydı

ARC Review

Let me just say, I love a good single parent romance, and Tia Louise has absolutely outdone herself with this one! I've adored everything she’s written so far, and she hasn't let me down yet.

I was anxiously awaiting the stories of Jack and Allie, and I’m thrilled I finally got to dive in. Funny enough, I ended up signing up for this book twice through Greys Promo and The Author Agency—thank you both for the opportunity!

Jack is such a strong, loving character. The way he embraces Austin as his own before he and Allie even get together is simply heartwarming. They feel like a family from the start, and it’s just beautiful to witness. Little Kimmie, with her wild energy and dreams of marrying Austin, adds such a sweet touch to the story. I do wish I could have heard that conversation between her and her aunt about why they could get married—definitely a moment I would have loved to see! 😂

I think I fell for both Jack and Allie long before this book began, but their journey together was everything I hoped for and more.

I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for more of Tia’s work because I’m in love with everything she writes. If you're a fan of small-town romances with plenty of heart, The Way We Win is a must-read!

Wow Tia did such an amazing job with the last of the Bradford Brothers Series! I was definitely not expecting Coach Jack to have such a dominating side but with him being the highschool football Coach I should’ve seen it. I loved the love he had for Allie and Austin even his own daughter Kimmie. This beautiful family they created and the friendships throughout this series is unmatched!

Please please please read this series from the very beginning. You will not be disappointed and this series will have you laughing and blushing at the same time!

I’ve gone back and forth on 3 or 4 stars. I did like this book, but I think I expected something different.

This book was one I’ve been waiting on. While it’s jacks and Allies story, we also see more of all the Bradfords and their continued story.

I’ve read all the Bradfords, so I knew Jack was the old big brother, protective, hero type, while Allie was the once-upon-a-time, new girl who finds herself in the clan by befriending Dylan & working in the library & Coot Shoot. We’ve known Allie wants him, but Jack’s been quietly pining.
The big secret of that Jacks been hiding….. eh. I just can’t see it. The story of Jack and Allie collided quickly once that line was crossed and that’s it. There’s no third act breakup.
I wouldn’t say this was just Jack & Allies story. It’s Austin’s too. It’s heavy on the football & Austin’s journey.

it's been a long time coming for Jack and Allie, and they had some trouble along the way, with some suspense, an angry football dad, and terrible ex spouses. love a good found family and this definitely has a great one

Ugh! I hate to see this series end but it went out with a bang. I devoured this book. I’ve been waiting on Jack & Allie’s story and it did not disappoint. Jack could be my dom any day of the week. Allie is the fiesty sexy librarian. Throw in family, all the kids, football, drama, lots of spice and this book has everything you want to read in a love story.

I’m excited there’s going to be a “next gen” series of Branford’s.

Yes! Yes! Yes!

Jack and Allie have entered the building! The will they or won’t they throughout the Bradford series is finally here and I am in for this story! You could read this story as a standalone but seriously, why would you? You want to know how Dylan and Logan, Liv and Garrett, Rachel and Zane, Raven and Hendrix all found their happily ever afters.

We do learn more of why Allie and Austin found their way to Newhope, AL. The reason why turns out to be a small catalyst for Jack to embrace his emotions towards Allie. Especially his protectiveness when it comes to Allie. The way Jack takes care of Kimmie Joy is totally swoon worthy. Everything that little girl does will find you chuckling. Kimmie Joy is just the cutest. Austin is such a good guy. He is a team leader and works hard. You root for Austin when a new student comes and is also a quarterback.

You will get caught up in Jack and Allie’s story. When these two finally get together you can imagine all of Newhope, AL cheering. These two bring out all the spice and Jack… oh my! Yes. Yes. Yes. He may be the spiciest of all the Bradford men. These two single parents deserve happiness and reading their story to happily ever after has the spice and swoon worthy moments you have been waiting for throughout the series.

Thank you to Grey’s Promotion for the ARC. I reviewed an advance copy of this book freely and voluntarily. I received no compensation of any kind from any source for this review.

October 2025 Audiobook Review: OMG. Jason Clarke and Willa Jaymes are just the best choices to narrate The Way We Win. The tone of Jason Clarke’s voice to the growl he does. All the diffferent voices?! Omg. Even one character that made me go, oh dang! He does evil also really well. Willa Jaymes is the perfect choice for Allie. The southern accent for Allie and all the different characters she narrates as. Though narrating as Kimmje Joy is probably a second favorite. Overall, just great now the third time around. Audiobook narration might be my favorite.

I was so excited for this book but it just did not live up to what I think it could. Single parent, especially when one of the kids is a teenager, is one of my favorite tropes. But this just was not working great for me. The reason Jack and his ex divorced looked like it was going to be a bigger plot point, but it was just kinda looked over. I was also confused having the Rip situation over with by 70% of the book. I thought maybe that meant there would be a new plot twist or something but nothing shocking really happened after that.

Also everyone was way too calm after the kidnap. Allie not seeing Austin the minute she got home was crazy. And I feel like if someone goes missing (and was visibly seen being kidnapped) the first place cops would check would be the felon ex. So the cops saying they couldn’t do anything was kinda crazy to me.

However I love this author and she writes the characters in such a way that you fall in love with them. I just wish I saw a little more buildup between Allie and Jack (I know, somehow 4 books wasn’t enough). But Allie basically just cornering him and saying she was interested felt out of character for me. I do have much love for all the Bradfords though! And I’m so excited for the next generation.
