Wicked: The Faces and Places of Oz is one of the most stunning photography books of a movie I've ever seen. This book is absolutely perfect for any Wicked fan like me and is a book to pick up time and time again when you need a dose of happiness.
The book focusses on Wicked (part 1) and is divided into parts between the characters and the places/settings and I loved seeing background scenery you don't really get to see in the movie such as posters around Munchkin Land and fliers at Shiz. The fabulous costumes are covered, and even a map of Shiz. The photographs take you back to your favourite scenes from the film, and the whole book is just an absolute joy to have. This book will definitely be well loved in this household!

The Faces and Places of Oz is a stunning photographic and illustrated accompaniment to the Wicked Movie(Part 1).

I love that it is set into different parts for the characters and places so that you can focus on different aspects.

I especially liked the further descriptions of Shiz University - including a map!

Many of the photographs are stills from the movie and depict some of my favourite parts. The book is like going behind the scenes and I hope that a further edition is released for Wicked For Good.

I am obsessed with Wicked, so this book is absolutely perfect for me to look through again and again.

Good day, fellow Ozians!

I think it's fair to say that most of us are OBSESSULATED with Wicked right now. I have
Been an Ozian ever since I first saw The Wizard of Oz at three years old and was even nicknamed ‘Munchkin’ (side note: this would have been even more apt if the original munchkins had also been ginger). All this to say I am loving being surrounded by all things Oz at the moment, especially the new books.

And that brings me to today’s post. I am full of GRATUATION to be taking part in the blog tour for Wicked: Faces and Places of Oz. And while I generally identify more with Elphaba, today I’ve been given Team Glinda for my stop today.

Take a peak behind the curtain at the magic of Oz in this AMAZIFYING book that includes:

I can honestly say this is the best bookmail I’ve received in a long time. Those of you who’ve known me for years already know how many times I’ve gone to see the Wicked musical and movies. Like all of us, I’m completely in love with this world. And today, as Team Elphaba 💚, I got a package included the Wicked encyclopedia.

This book brings together the locations, characters, and selected frames from the Wicked universe. It’s absolutely perfect for anyone who loves Wicked or collects anything Wicked-related (like me!!!). And if you’ve set aside a green-and-pink shelf on your bookcase, this book was made for you.

This book isn't really a cohesive story- it's more of an explanation of the various locations seen in the film and the characters. It's beautiful, though, and makes a great collector's item for fans of the musical or the movie. I received a copy for Christmas and look forward to displaying it in my home library.
