An odd mix of fiction and self help.

All cheaters…
I’ve been trying to go through this author’s catalog of work, and it’s been a bit of a ride. There was one that needed editing badly, and I gave it a lower rating because of that. The plot was good in that one, but the editing was really shoddy. This book is much better edited, and had only one repeated set of paragraphs.
The plot… well we have a cheating husband again. In this one, he’s a serial cheat and liar. Actually he’s more of a manwh0re than anything else. In spite of their marriage, he bangs everyone that he can! There were so many women at the end, that it almost became unbelievable.
I had a few questions, the most significant one being where did her daughter go when she went to Bali. She was there for at least a month, but no mention of the daughter at all. Was she with the ex? Grandparents? Friends?
Anyway, as I mentioned, I’m working my way through this author’s work. I’m impressed by the writing, and I learned something about myself in each book. I find that fact to be quite useful if nothing else!

inconsistent
While I did enjoy the story, it was an inconsistent mess. She met w lawyer, then a few chapters later then she met w the lawyer? Later in the story her lawyer had a completely different name. She was the only one on deed to house, then took husband off deed bc she wanted the house. Then she moved out w daughter and husband kept house. Every chapter she’s reborn then healing. Back and forth. She’s a lawyer and then she’s a writer? She has sole custody and ex has supervised visitation. Then she’s goes to Bali for a month? Thinking you’d never have to see your ex again, runs into him at farmers market and you get introduced to his girlfriend whom your daughter knows? There’s only one time in the book where it actually tells you how much time has passed. It’s a mess.

This isn’t my first book by this author, she just writes well, as in real and provokes a lot of deep feelings.
However, with this book, there were a lot of inconsistencies. I’m one of those that need timelines, and there was a sheer lack of it in this one. I couldn’t figure out what the FMC’s profession was… She was a lawyer? Then she’s a writer? And the inconsistencies continued. She was friends with a lawyer, she wasn’t friends with a lawyer, her lawyer had a new name, she owns the house because it was her name. Then she took her husband’s name off the house? She takes off to Bali, but no mention of what happens to her daughter. I had questions that were not answered, but I can’t completely hate the book.

Not for me
This book...I don't understand it. For someone who says they are not out for revenge but to find themselves...sure nuff was involved in revenge. She talked about her husband how he was never there but yet she talked about the nanny calling to say her daughter was asleep. When she was home she never was with her daughter or else it was not on the pages.
I really wanted to like this book and parts of it I did. I understand being hurt but I don't understand wanting to destroy your spouse. I think of the daughter her friends parents are going to hear which means her friends will hear. What then?
It might be the book for you but not for me.

ugh!
Second book by this author I couldn’t finish.
Scenes are repeated and or changed. Very irritating!

healing after betrayal
The story was well written and kept my interest. The betrayal by the MMC was huge and was discovered early on in the book. The remaining story is the FMC uncovering the truth and moving forward towards closure and healing. Overall a good read and I would recommend.

loved the first half
Really enjoyed reading this book until Ari disappeared for a month with no mention of her daughter like she didn’t exist after all the conversation regarding her getting g custody just did t flow correctly for me and I skipped thru Bali looking for when she went home but a whole month just felt off

Such a good story
Chandler is a serial cheater. Ariana finds her strength when she moves on. She torches everything on the way out of her marriage. Liam is H2 who teaches Ariana what love is supposed to look like. Page turner, I look forward to read more from this author.

Did not finish. Inconsistent and repetitive. I managed to read up to 60% but couldn't stomach anymore.

It wasn't bad, but it was more eat pray love. Started strong, but then I just started skimming each chapter. I didn't miss anything. I wouldn't read again.
