The Unbound A Steamy BWWM MFM Novella of Snowbound Desire and Second Chances
Evangeline Fox wasn’t looking for comfort, just a way to survive the fallout. A high-profile betrayal. A public breakup. The kind of heartbreak that turns your name into a headline.
She escapes to a remote cabin, hoping for silence. Instead, she finds two men already there.
Corbin Deveraux is all sharp control and buried fire. Silas Kingsley is wild energy in a tailored suit, dangerous, infuriating, impossible to ignore.
Best friends. Billionaires. And both watching her like she’s the only thing that could undo them.
What begins as a standoff in a snowstorm turns into something far more intimate, hotter, riskier, and deeply emotional. As desire builds and boundaries blur, Evangeline stops asking which man to choose... and starts wondering what it would mean to have both.
But the outside world doesn’t stay quiet for long. Scandal, secrets, and reputation are coming for all of them.
And if she wants to keep the family they’re building, Evangeline will have to hide from the fire or walk straight into it.

I write BWWM romance across four lanes: dark mafia, contemporary, paranormal, and erotic short stories—all built on obsession, power, and the kind of love that leaves bruises on your pride (in the best way).
My stories live where leverage matters. Where desire is a decision. Where the man doesn’t chase—he claims. And the woman isn’t a prize—she’s the one who can burn the whole operation down if she’s pushed wrong.
My debut novel, Dark Vows, released May 1, 2025, and it set the tone for what I do: high heat, hard choices, ruthless devotion, and heroines who don’t fold just because a powerful man wants them. Whether I’m writing mafia wars and bloodline politics, a contemporary romance that hits like a confession, a paranormal world with teeth, or a fast, filthy short meant to be read in one breath—my focus stays the same:
competent Black women, dangerous men, clear consent, and HEAs that are earned.
If you like romance with edge, intensity, and consequences—welcome. If you want sweet, soft, and polite… you’re probably in the wrong place.
First off, huge thanks to Raven for dropping this early. I had pre ordered it for its original release date August 1st. I didn’t even know how much I neede d something like this to sink into this weekend. The only downside? I flew through it way too fast. I wanted to take my time with it, but the story pulled me in and didn’t let go. Now I’m sitting here already waiting for the next book in the series Savor pre ordered that one too LOL.
This story felt like something I didn’t know I needed. I went in thinking I’d get a hot romance, and I did. The steam is serious. But what caught me off guard was how much it meant. The love, the grief, the fear of being too much and still not enough. It’s all in there, and it’s done with so much care.
Evangeline is layered and vulnerable and powerful all at once. You feel her trying to hold it all together after everything falls apart. And Corbin and Silas? They love her in such different ways, but both of them love her completely. Not to control her. Not to fix her. Just to see her. To stay.
What I really appreciated was how adult everything felt. Not just the sex, which was honestly some of the best I’ve read, but the way the emotions were handled. The arguments, the silences, the way they circle back to each other with honesty and heat. It all felt earned.
It’s rare to read a story where a Black woman gets to be this complex and this loved. Not for what she can survive, but for who she is when she lets someone close. That part hit me hard.
I finished it in one sitting, and I’m still thinking about it days later. This wasn’t just a spicy read. It was a whole experience. I’ll be back for the next one. No question.
The story had a good plot but poorly executed. It was inconsistent, laden with grammatical errors, improper sentences/structure, repetitive in the intimate scenes and all in all missing the tie in with things mentioned. For one she didn’t address the breakup with the cheating ex and despicable friend, that would have been nice to know that they got taken down a peg. It would have been nice to see Corbin walking away ant the company suffer from his genius given that the mysterious entrance and confrontation of the guy that helped him built the bylaws of the company in sometimes blood, though it was always a co founding efforts with Silas. It would have been nice to clear up how Corbin co found Sibin (Silas+Corbin combo) yet his father is upset about him walking away from a legacy he built for him. Then there is the unfinished code that Silas was working on that would leave the company behind. Lastly, there is the unexplained Elle and Marcus and no confrontation from Silas telling his once friends to suck it. They are supposed to be strong ruthless billionaires but the overall portrayal of them shows the, cowering and always on the offensive
This book got under my skin in the best way. I came for the heat, but I stayed for the heart. Evangeline’s story isn’t just about romance. It’s about healing, choosing yourself, and letting love meet you where you are, soft, strong, and unashamed.
Corbin and Silas? Total opposites, but both locked in on her. One’s steady and quiet, the other’s fire and chaos. But they never compete. They hold space. They build with her. And that’s what made it hit so deep.
Yes, the scenes are hot. Do-not-read-on-public-transit hot. But what stayed with me was the intimacy. The emotional weight. The care. Every touch meant something.
It’s raw. It’s grown. And it’s beautifully, unapologetically Black.
I highlighted so many lines I lost track. This is the kind of story you sit with. One that reminds you your softness is not a flaw, and your love doesn’t have to shrink.
Their love isn't wrong. Societies cowardess and judgement are telling of how insecure and fearful people are to live and love their truth. I love that they choose themselves and not the "norm". Love doesn't live in a box. It has no defined shape or number. The focus and truth they stand on is inspiring. I really enjoyed hearing and seeing each encounter through their eyes. Thanks for writing a love that is full of truth and hope. This is my first reading of this author. I will read more.
The story of how Evangeline, Corbin and Silas became a throuple is beautifully told in this book. I absolutely loved everything about it - the writing, the characters and as for the story - there was no pause or doubt just the rhythm and flow of an unconventional relationship formed with no hesitation as if it was always meant to be. This story will stay with me for a long time. I guess I too felt 'the ache'.
I was given an ARC and I am leaving my review voluntarily.
This a great book I loved that they wrote their own love story. Her loves and her being strong and bold enough to voice her love and stand on it no matter what anyone had to say and I loved that she had a friend in Jakie who did not judge her but loved and supported her through it all. I loved the two loves who fault for their love. This was just a wonderful storyline.
Evangeline reeling from betrayal escapes the city leaving it all behind to catch her breath. When she encounters Silas & Corbin little does she realize her future has shifted. The love, respect & trust they will come to share will rock the world & set them free. This was a enjoyable spicy read.
This was very good, the way they stood together, others always try to dictate how you should live your life. Or even quick to point out what you’re doing wrong instead of worrying about themselves. It would be nice for Jackie to get a story to see if she winds up with one, two or three men.
This was simply marvelous and very well put together story. The two male leads and female lead were real to me. Jackie and Margaret as supporting characters were just what the three main characters needed in their corners. I will be reading this again 👍🏽👍🏽
Another great read! I loved how Evangeline lived life on her own terms, unapologetically. I admired the strong bond she shared with her partner and how they remained united. I would definitely recommend the read.
Love a story that doesn't apology how they live their lives. So real and heart felt. Wasn't bothered with the MWM storyline because it wasn't dirty . It was honest and true. Buying all books in this series. Keep writing will keep reading. Bless you !
My first book by this author and it won’t be my last. I enjoyed how descriptive her writing is. I enjoyed reading the different angles from each character.
