After being abducted by white slavers, Danya barely escapes a life of forced prostitution. Afraid to return to her boarding house because they knew where she lived, she sees an ad in a discarded newspaper and decides to be a mail order bride. She would rather marry a man she has never met than living with the danger in New York. It turns out that Matthew Tucker's family had ordered a mail order bride for him without telling him. He wouldn't have minded that as much if he hadn't married someone else in the past, and doesn't believe in divorce even though the woman left him for a rich man. This is a clean wholesome romance set in Kansas during the 1890's. While Danya and Matt each turn to God in prayer about their lives, Matt's past problems are resolved and there is a happy ending.
