From the Author of the Best-Selling books, Mapapansin Kaya, Heartless, Worthless, and The Baka Sakali Trilogy
Serene has loved Dae for years.
Even now that she’s back and even though they are now a little bit older, everything is still the same between them. She still likes Dae, and Dae still has no interest in her.
In fact, she thinks he hates her.
Will this go on? Will her teenage days be filled with a collection of heartbreaks because of him? Or will she finally find someone else and move on?
Jonahmae Pacala (publishing as Jonaxx) was never fond of reading longnovels during her elementary years but found a deep connection with sshort sad stories. She discovered her flair for writing at the early age of ten. What was once a hobby has now grown into a passion for writing online.
Okay. I want to give all my thumbs up for this wonderful story. This story tells about puppy love that turned into true love, and that first love neber dies. Isa 'tong story na 'to sa mga hinahangaan kong obra ng isang Jonahmae Pacala dahil sa ganda ng daloy nito. This story made me cry. I can say, ito ang unang kwento ni ate jonaxx na nagpaiyak sa akin unlike other stories of hers. I can feel how Serene Cruz felt whenever Daelan Tanseco didn't mind her existence. I can feel all her pain, love and sacrifices. 'Yung tipong maninikip ang dibdib mo't hindi na makahinga.
This story is really one of the best (Kailan ba hindi nagkaroon ng story si Queen J na hindi one of the best?). Downfall Chronicles deserves to have a 5-star rating.
I know sometimes I give biased opinions on Jonaxx Stories but no matter how biased I am this book is 👎. This gave me real headache.
I have 3 made up classification of bad books. First is the kind of book that I just didn't like personally and I would probably still suggest them to other people cuz maybe they'd like it. The second kind is when it was just totally the author's fault, it wasn't well-written and if I think it was written by other authors it'd be good. The third one is the kind that has no chance of revival, it will never be good and if you like this kind of book I'll be judging you... this book is the third one.
My headache in this was immeasurable. And I can't even give the "this was an old story" excuse on this book, cuz I've read other old Jonaxx stories and it wasn't this bad. It was badly written :/ I must admit. No character development, no character arc, no chemistry, toxic, immature, childish, this was also unedited so the grammar and spelling were pretty bad (and istg if I see the "T'was" or "T'will" one more time I'd flip). If you're planning to read Jonaxx Stories don't waste your time on this one, pick another one, save yourself from the torture.
I have read this book in wattpad but it seems that the author wasn't able to upload the continuation so I tried to look for this story and I found it, but do we read this?
I've read this story since I was on my teenage year. It's one of the stories I've loved growing up. I love the dynamics of Serene and Daelan. That's why when I saw on my FYP that they had published it, I bought it immeadiately.
I give it a three because I thought they had improved the narration of the story. Lol.
I think every Filipino reader knows Jonaxx. She’s been my favorite Wattpad author since I started reading stories on the app. I decided to read and re-read all her stories since I haven’t read some of them and have forgotten the storylines of some I used to love. I am also wondering if I would still love some of her stories since it’s been years since I last read them.
I finished reading this a few weeks ago. I heard that she wrote this story when she was a teenager, so it’s no wonder I disliked both the leading man and lady. Daelan is my least favorite Jboy at the moment, and the same goes for Serene, the dumbest JGirl I’ve encountered. I’m not satisfied with how this story ended; I can feel the cringeworthiness and immaturity in the writing. Still, I would give this a 3/5 because I am impressed with how well-written it was for a 15-year-old girl. Kudos to Jonaxx! ✨

I don’t know how I was able to finish this book, but I almost dnf this book. The narration wasn’t so bad I guess other than I already set up in my mind that this was written around 2007. Of course there’s still the old narration feeling and typo errors. I don’t know how to describe this book because it wasn’t the same feeling as the other books under FTA boxed set but somehow it is. I guess it is more about the plot. The immature and toxic behavior of the characters. No redeeming qualities other than the special chapter in the end. Well, the book was written by a teenager while the special chapter was written by an adult which matches the pov in the SC since the characters are now both adults. Realizing how bad their behavior is and accepting it.
Not recommended to read this book to new readers but it was a good look back as an avid fan and to the author as well.
Re-reading this book, actually when I was on college I keep on reading this story, I don't know how many times already because I am so addicted on Serene and Dae story. I love this!! thank you Jonah!!
