-Setting Perks/Small-Town Charm: Small-town Nebraska gave it charm and made the story feel grounded and cozy—bonus points for vibe!
The road to their happily ever after wasn’t easy, but it was so worth it. Their chemistry, banter, and tender moments made every challenge feel meaningful. And the little teasers for the rest of the Owen siblings? I’m so ready.

This was absolutely adorable! I’m already a sucker for the accidental marriage trope, but their history made this one extra sweet. Brooks was clearly a near perfect man and THE perfect man for her, but since she had been previously engaged to his brother, it made sense for her to fight her growing feelings for him. There was also the extra layer of his family’s disapproval and mistreatment of her to make her feel even more adamant about staying away.
Brooks on the other hand had always loved her and had been pining over her since even before her and his brother got together. He was nothing at all like his cruel family and was someone who would always put her first. It took him a while to convince her of those things, but their journey to building trust and love was so worth the wait. ❤️
I LOVE IT when an author thinks through all the details like this and makes the inclusion of tropes actually make sense. I was really rooting for these two MC’s to find their happily ever after together and I know you’ll be doing the same! This was better than most of the ranch romances I’ve read and deserves a lot more hype! And don’t even get me started on the beautiful cover art. 😍 I haven’t read books 1-3 yet, but I think they need to make it onto my TBR! They are bound to be just as good!

Brooks sees this as the perfect opportunity to finally win Lottie over and show her the kind of man she deserves. They agree to 4 dates together and then she can get the annulment (if she still wants it) 🤭
Thoughts: Brooks the man that you are. He's been in love with Lottie for so long and she never noticed 😭 that's an obsessed man if I've ever seen one. Poor guy had to step aside and see Lottie get engaged to his brother (who's a total d*ck btw ✋). Now that's what I call patience.
I ate this up in 24 hours 🙂↕️ Brooks had me grinning like a little school girl the entire time, he was so sweet and understanding. He was such a determined man and he was willing to do anything to make Lottie believe in love again. Was it cheesy? yes. Did I love it? YOU BET.
While this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. It's my first book by this author and I had no issues following the storyline but I will definitely be checking out the others. Because if there's one thing about me, I love a good interconnected series 🤭

Back to Plain Daisy Ranch we go! With a pit-stop in Las Vegas and a quickie wedding chapel. We went there for one couple's marriage and we left with 2.
Brooks & Lottie have been friends forever. Some of that got tarnished years ago, when Lottie was engaged to Brooks' brother and then left at the altar. She doesn't want any more drama and she REALLY can't handle the pity in everyone's eyes.
For her, waking up married and in bed with Brooks is just an inconvenience to be fixed as soon as humanly possible. She doesn't expect the resistance from him NOT the absolute glee from so many of her friends and family members.
For Brooks, this is a happy miracle that he plans to hold onto with both hands. His family may have ruined his chance with Lottie for years, but fate brought her to the chapel with him that night. He is gonna pull out the cowboy sheriff charm and shamelessly use his dog, and all other assets to keep her.
I just loved his sincerity, his protectiveness, and his dedication to Lottie. I loved how feisty and guarded she was, and watching her slowly lay it down for him... it was beautiful.
This was a slow burn and the heat simmered low and hot. It didn't hit too soon and it kept me hanging on. This was truly a great romance and probably my favorite in the series.
Narrated in the Duet style by Stephen Dexter & Vanessa Edwin. They did a superb job and I devoured this in one sitting.

luke was so down bad for lottie (just how I like my men 😏) and seeing how determined he was to convince her that they’re meant to be had me constantly gushing over him. he was so sweet and patient with her 🥹 how can you not fall in love??

How freaking adorable was this?

Chasing Forever was such a cute romance that had me laughing out loud and kicking my feet completely giddy. This was such a cute story, and I couldn't put it down. The author's writing was so fun and made you connect and love the characters.
This follows our main characters, Lottie and Brooks, after they wake up one morning naked in a suite with no memory of how they got there or the night before. Not only that but they have wedding bands on their fingers. If this situation isn't awkward enough well it only gets better. Brooks is not only the town sheriff but the brother of her ex-fiancé. Lottie is freaking out and quickly trying to get it annulled before everyone finds out. Chasing Forever was such a cute romance that had me laughing out loud and kicking my feet completely giddy. This was such a cute story, and I couldn't put it down. The author's writing was so fun and made you connect and love the characters.
This follows our main characters, Lottie and Brooks, after they wake up one morning naked in a suite with no memory of how they got there or the night before. Not only that but they have wedding bands on their fingers. If this situation isn't awkward enough well it only gets better. Brooks is not only the town sheriff but the brother of her ex-fiancé. Lottie is freaking out and quickly trying to get it annulled before everyone finds out. Brooks has a secret though; he's been in love with Lottie for years and sees this as his perfect opportunity to make her fall in love with him. After making a deal to take Lottie on seven dates before she gets annulled can he charm his way into Lottie's heart or is she too closed off because of the hurt his brother caused?

I absolutely DEVOURED this.
Brooks couldn’t be more perfect if he tried. What’s better than an MMC and the “it’s always been her” trope? I’m swooning so hard.
I was a little hesitant to start this as I haven’t yet read the other books in the series, but it absolutely works as a standalone. It was easy to keep up with the characters. Their banter was so good. I’ll definitely be grabbing the earlier books, I need more of this small town romance!

“Chasing Forever” wasn’t orchestrated as the standard marriage of convenience trope; it curved into its own narrative, and I was pleasantly surprised by how engrossed I became in Brooks and Lottie’s love story.
Brooks has always been in love with Lottie in every phase of her life, even when she was knee-deep in a wedding dress, waiting to marry his older brother. so when they woke up in Vegas together, in a hotel room imprinted with proof they had eloped, Brooks thought his one and only wish had finally been granted. Lottie, on the other hand, not so much.. because she was once again the center of attention in their small town, under the claws of Brooks’ and his brother’s mother… aka her worst nightmare.
I honestly loved the way Brooks was miserable and yearning for Lottie. He was depicted in such a light that I couldn’t help but root for him. I understood Lottie’s reserve and doubts all along, but at times I wished she had given in to him in their dates. this book was a pleasant surprise, and I honestly would recommend it to any marriage-of-convenience lover who’s a little tired of the redundancy often found in that trope.

3.5 stars-I love a good drunken Vegas wedding story! Brooks is the book boyfriend we all dream of and his love for Lottie is just the sweetest! I enjoyed this story even though I have not read the others in the series.

Ahhh! This is possibly my favorite from this series? The drama was absolutely 10/10. I listened to the whole audiobook in one day. I love the family conflict and second chance story. This is a very complicated start to a relationship and Piper Rayne wrote it well. There were tropes that just aren’t for me. But I don’t want to spoil the story.

This was my first book by this author, and I enjoyed it! Brooks and Lottie are a cute couple, full of sweetness and passion. Their chemistry is amazing, and I really enjoyed their playful banter and those heartwarming moments. It’s been a long time since Brooks fell for Lottie, but he never had the chance to tell her. After his brother broke Lottie’s heart, it put a strain on their friendship, too. But then, in a hilarious twist, they end up accidentally married in Vegas! Brooks sees this as his perfect opportunity to win Lottie’s heart for good.
Brooks is the sheriff of their small town, and everyone adores him—he’s the golden boy! He’s kind, thoughtful, caring, and has that classic golden retriever energy that makes him so lovable. When he finds himself accidentally married to the woman he’s been dreaming about for ages, he’s determined to show her just how special their connection can be. I couldn’t get enough of his dedication and his relentless efforts to win over Lottie, even when she tried to push him away or sabotage their dates. His love for her only grew stronger!
Lottie, on the other hand, is dealing with her own struggles. After getting her heart shattered by Brooks' brother, she’s convinced that love isn't meant for her. She avoids relationships and keeps her guard up high. With all the attention in their little town, she feels insecure about opening up. But as she spends more time with Brooks, we see her gradually let her walls down. It’s so heartwarming to watch her start to trust him and let him into her heart.
This book was such a delightful read! I felt Brooks' yearning for Lottie so deeply that I couldn’t help but root for him from the very beginning. And Lottie—oh, I just wanted her to find happiness with someone who treats her right! It was clear she felt lonely, and I loved how she could lean on Brooks for support. The way Brooks cherishes and loves Lottie is beautiful. If you love small-town romances with green flag MMC, black cat FMC, meddling family, and a whole lot of heart, then I recommend this book.

I loved the little “plot twists” we got in this. I was definitely surprised a few times with what was going on but in a very good way!
I found the writing style to have a nice flow to it, it made the book feel very bingeable bc it’s so easy to read!

Chasing Forever is a small town, woke up married in Vegas, ex-fiancé’s brother, he falls first and has been pining for yearsssss romance. This is super low angst and just an easy quick romance.
They wake up married in Vegas and she’s not into it, but he really is. It’s mentioned how her ex-fiancé is the hero’s brother, which really wasn’t a big deal because it was from over a decade ago and no one is stuck on it. In fact, her family is totally fine with them getting together and hope their marriage stays. He’s also wanting to take time to convince her to keep their marriage instead of a quickie divorce or annulment that she wants. This type of set up isn’t new, it’s been done before, so I needed to care about the characters more than I did to be truly invested.
The hero and heroine have actually grown up together in their small town and he’s been into her since grade school. Everything just felt surface level, he’s friends with her brother, he’s the sheriff in their small town, his family doesn’t like her, she tries sabotaging their first date (bringing her niece along to the fair), he keeps her favorite wine at his house. But then she quickly starts to fall for him too and the relationship and romance of it all was just really easy (minus his family being rude). I don’t know, I needed more cause their feelings and romance didn’t feel any deeper than any of that so I wasn’t sold. It was fine overall if you want something easy and low angst and on the shorter side! The audiobook is on hoopla so at least I just grabbed it from my library, it’s a duet narration by Vanessa Edwin and Stephen Dexter which are great narrators! And the cover is super stunning.

When they went to Vegas for a family wedding, Lottie and Brooks didn’t expect to wake up to find out another wedding happened that same night. Their wedding. Lottie wants an annulment from her ex-fiancés brother right away, but Brooks is wanting to give their new found relationship a go before calling it quits. He manages to get Lottie to agree to four dates before he gives her what she wants. Brooks now has four dates to try and win over the girl he has been secretly pining for since childhood.
I love everything about Brooks. He’s sincerity, his protectiveness and the way he showed her that he would do anything for her.
Lottie is feisty and guarded. She has a wall up after being hurt by Brooks’ brother and is afraid of getting hurt again. I loved seeing her slowly bring down those walls and finally let Brooks in.
This was a slow burn, but a good amount. I was hooked from the beginning and really enjoyed seeing their relationship develop.
There were also some great plot twists which I didn’t see coming and kept me engaged and wanting more.
I have loved this series so far and I cannot wait to read more from Piper Rayne. An auto-buy author for me! 🩷

I’m very intrigued in these other characters and will definitely be checking them out. Highly recommend if you love cute, small town romances.

Chasing Forever is the 4th book in the Plain Daisy Ranch and my first one. I really loved the characters and small town, so i definitely want to read the other books. Piper Rayne is one of my favorite writing duos, and this cover is gorgeous....obsessed!!!
Lottie has had a broken heart for a while and had shut herself off from relationships after her fiancé left her before the wedding. Brooks is the town sheriff and has pining after her forever. They wake up in Vegas married, and now Brooks is determined to make her stay married. He propositions her to go on a few dates before he will agree to an annulment. Lottie plans to try and make each one a disaster, but this man is impossible to resist.
Brooks was such a swoony hero, and I loved how sweet he was with her. I loved how he stood up to his family and always communicated with her.

Oh, how I loved this 😍
I was hesitant to ask for this arc because I haven’t read any more of the series. After a little research, I saw that these can be read as standalone books and I had NO problems following along. I absolutely adored the connection between Brooks and Lottie! Poor Brooks has been pining after Lottie for YEARS, and after a drunken night in Vegas, they end up married. A dream come true for Brooks, but he has to show his devotion and prove his secret love in order to keep the marriage from being annulled.
Sounds cheesy, but it was in the best way possible! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series now.

Brooks & Lottie OWNED me. This was the book I’d been waiting for and they delivered like Amazon Prime with a personal note and a bow. Brooks, my man — obsessed. Lottie, adorable. Them together? Delicious. Also the cover? Stop. Perfect.

I was so excited to receive an ALC of Chasing Forever and Piper Rayne delivered one of the sweetest damn romances I’ve read in a while.
Brooks, you sir, are perfect and oh so dreamy. This man knows how to communicate, and I absolutely loved it! He was not letting her go easily and the back-and-forth banter hooked me from the start.
"I love her, I always have."
This book started out of fun and playful and the relationship that formed was so genuine and seamless. I couldn’t get enough of these two together. The spice was everything!
I loved Lottie and Sadie’s friendship, bestie was giving great advice! The found family in this book and this series is top tier!
Stephen Dexter’s voice fit Brooks so perfectly! I could listen to him talk all damn day. Venessa Edwin was the perfect Lottie and these two narrators made it impossible to press pause. Their performance was flawless and this audiobook was fantastic.
