Loved the anime, love the manga!

This volume leads up to the frog King confrontation but stops mid fight. That means it's about 1/3 of the anime.

I admit I probably passed this over as just the light novel/manga, but after watching the anime, I found it was hilariously stupid enough to pick up the manga, too! It's also weird, but I think I like the manga's art style more? (The anime has some nice sakuga in the introduction with Lammis's fighting practice that I can't ever skip watching, though!)

My impression—and this might be a comment I had read and forgotten about—is this started as a joke about what would be the most ridiculous "reincarnated in another world" scenario, and this is what the author came up with, only to have it end up actually being pretty fun! Like, realistically, who would WANT to be a vending machine? You can't move, you can only talk in a few pre-recorded sentences/phrases, and you're at the mercy of whoever happens along, hoping they will magically understand you despite your lack of complex interactivity. YEAH, SIGN ME UP! :/

I was a bit surprised that the way that "Boxxo"* died was completely changed in the anime, though. Well, I suppose not SURPRISED surprised, since HE JUMPS IN FRONT OF A FALLING VENDING MACHINE TO SAVE IT, which is LESSON ONE of how to DON'T BE STUPID. *Maybe* not a good idea to show that and possibly have anyone somehow imitate it, better to show some completely happenstance accident instead.

Anyway, a ridiculous but fun story about probably the scariest disability for me: complete immobility. D: (Well, I suppose not COMPLETE immobility, given what happens later, but at least for this volume, he's 100% dependent on Lammis.)

*I still think of him as "Hakkon," sorry!

Уявіть собі найзвичайнісінький день пересічного японця. Йдете собі десь тихенькими вулицями, бачите новий торговий автомат, вирішуєте спробувати щось смачненьке. Аж раптом: шум коліс, гудіння клаксону, ваш улюблений автомат падає і ви, в намаганні врятувати його від смерті, помираєте самі. Прокидаєтесь на березі якогось озера і розумієте, що ви – той самий палко любимий вами торговий автомат!

А от головному герою манґи «Я переродився торговим автоматом і тепер блукаю підземеллям» і уявляти не треба, адже тепер це його життя!

Опинившись в незнайомому місці в формі коробки з продуктами, головний герой вирішує не сумувати, а одразу призвичаюється до нових обставин. Проте є одне але – він зовсім самотній, навколо жодного потенційного покупця, а здоровенні жаби з битами виглядають не як люб’язні клієнти.

Та не все втрачено, адже одного дня біля автомату з’являється надзвичайно чарівна і не менш голодна Ламміс, яку автомат готовий нагодувати першокласною смакотою (звісно, не за просто так!). Дівчина не тільки красива, а ще й неймовірно сильна. Але от біда – навіть з такою могутністю їй важко подолати настирних жаберів. Тому автомат бере на себе відповідальну місію – захистити мисливицю.

Так між ними зароджується міцна дружба: Ламміс нарікає автомат Коробчиком та забирає до себе в селище, де на них чекає ще багато цікавих пригод. Веселе життя людини, яка переродилась торговим автоматом тільки починається!

Зізнаюсь чесно – коли я тільки почула про анонс цього тайтлу, то подумала, що це буде відверта ісекайна дурня, якою просто кишить індустрія. Але мої очікування, на щастя, були помилкові. Як виявилось, ця манґа надзвичайно кумедна, весела й добра. Після прочитаних останнім часом важких та похмурих тайтлів, ця історія стала для мене ковтком свіжого повітря та дуже повеселила.

Якщо ви оминаєте манґу «Я переродився торговим автоматом…» через її назву та дивну сюжетну основу, то багато чого втрачаєте. Красивий та детальний малюнок, веселі персонажі, історія, яка розвивається в ідеально комфортному темпі. Загалом – чудовий вибір, якби вам хотілось чогось легкого, кумедного і навіть трохи зворушливого.

Un uomo appassionato di distributori passeggia per strada. Mai quel giorno poteva aspettarsi di morire schiacciato dalla macchinetta che ha tentato di salvare.
L'uomo viene reincarnato in un mondo fantasy ed è diventato un distributore automatico.
Viene attaccato da delle rane demoniache ma scopre di avere dei poteri magici e le scaccia con uno scudo.
Incontra una avventuriera, Lammis e il distributore la disseta con le bottigliette d'acqua. Lammis è una avventuriera e decide di portarsi il distributore con sé, trattandolo come compagno.

Lammis rientra nel villaggio con il distributore e lo presenta come uno strumento magico, in grado di dare acqua e cibo buonissimi in cambio di monete di argento. Boxxo, nome del distributore dato da Lammis, diventa molto popolare all'interno del villaggio e viene utilizzato da tutti.

Lammis inizia a portare Boxxo in missione, così da poter rifornire gli avventurieri con i suoi prodotti. Sul campo di battaglia Lammis si porta Boxxo e i due partecipano insieme a uno squadrone di avventurieri in una missione per sconfiggere una gang di rane demoni. Boxxo in battaglia utilizza un forte scudo e Lammis insieme a Filmina, Kerioyl e il direttore orso vincono lo scontro.

A fine battaglia un ladro tenta di derubare le monete all'interno di Boxxo, ma fallisce.
Subito dopo la rana re demone fa la sua apparizione e tutti gli avventurieri partono in ritirata.

Як для ісекаїв ця виділяється саме тим, у якому вигляді герой опинився в іншому світі, а також механікою, спровокованою його виглядом. Він не просто торговий автомат, а має вплив, через який розкривається специфіка світу. А ще, що ключове, він має обмеження. Носити його може лише одна людина, навчитися говорити неможливо, а всякий функціонал додатковий має ціну. За фентезі світ говорити рано, бо це тільки перший том. Єдине, що можна сказати точно: він мало відрізнятиметься від стандартного вигаданого, але старатиметься здивувати та розсмішити. І цього буде цілком достатньо, бо мене найбільше цікавить доля саме торгового автомата.

The title is awesome, and why I picked up this volume. A fan of vending machines dies in an attempt to save one from falling. Yes, it's weird, it's a weird story. The man reincarnates as Boxxo, a vending machine in the middle of nowhere in some fantasy world that may or may not be a game? I'm not sure. There's a young hunter girl who takes him under her wing, well, more like on her back, and together they go to fight giant frogs. It's not a bad premise, it just never got much further than that and I'm not excited enough to pick up Volume 2.

Je n’avais pas d’attentes en commençant ce livre et j’ai été agréablement surprise. J’ai lu de nombreuses séries de style isekai, mais celle-ci sort vraiment de l’ordinaire. Je vais écouter bientôt la série animé sur Crunchyroll, c’est sûrement très drôle.

Ісекай про те, як чувак після смерті попав у фентезі-світ, ставши там торговим автоматом. Простенький гумор, інколи вдалі спроби обіграти механіку автомата - він же не має рук чи ніг, в бою його роль дуже сумнівна.

Таке, на ті миті, коли взагалі нема що читати.

Dumb but fun or how to put it. It's not bad and it is somewhat a "chill" cozy read, but I can see, if this series is still ongoing, how the gimmick of the story quickly can become old and maybe not last.
But so far I'm going to give the second volume a read as well.

Le pari est risqué...Serait-ce la limite du isekai ?
Finalement, on se surprend à passer assez bon moment en suivant les aventures d'un distributeur débarquant dans un monde d'heroic fantasy. Bizarre, c'est sûr, mais étonnamment plutôt réussi !

Quand on m'a parlé de ce titre, je me suis dit: "Mais quelle idée!!!" Un isekai où il se réincarne en machine distributrice! Mais, finalement, je dois dire que je me suis beaucoup amusée à lire cette comédie bien construite.

Je crois même que l'adaptation manga est préférable au lightnovel original (publié en trois tomes et disponible en anglais). Car je fais partie des nostalgiques à propos des multiples produits uniques au Japon... Les croustilles Chip Stars, les bouteilles Calpis, Pokari Sweat, la soupe chaude au maïs... Les produits distribués sont basés sur de réelles possibilités japonaises.

Imaginez un monde de fantasy où les héros découvrent avec enthousiasme une machine à vivres illimitées, sans déchets (ils disparaissent quand c'est fini), des produits délicieux bien salés qui peuvent être chauds (Cup Noodle ramen!)... On s'en doute, les choses vont se complexifier pour Hakkon (nouveau nom du personnage réincarné) qui sera de plus en plus en demande. Mais il a une conscience et une amie, donc il devra trouver le moyen de rester fidèle à ses valeurs... Incroyable idée assez savoureuse finalement!

After buying the streamed anime based on a story submitted to a (fan) fiction site turned manga, I have to agree with commentary that said the author was innovative because he WASN'T an isekai fanand.didn't build off of the usual tropes or counter stripes

The last episode of the first season said the premise was ridiculous, and yet it works - And fun!
