Terrors and Tinctures

Rate this book
The third hint something’s wrong in a town where secrets are steeped stronger than the tea?A knock on the door after dark. Especially if it’s a delivery of potion ingredients you didn’t order.

When a shadowy stranger drops off an unlabeled tincture kit at the apothecary—along with a cryptic note—I try to tell myself it’s just another odd Tuesday in Willowbark. Then people start falling into enchanted sleep. One by one. All dreaming the same chilling vision.

A corpse hanging from a tree in the Glimmerfen Forest.

Creepy, sure, but dreams are just dreams, right?

Until the same stranger who dropped off that tincture kit is found strung up from an oak tree.

With a cult tattoo on their wrist.

Now the herbs are reacting to moonlight, the coven’s on edge, and the magical boundaries around town are cracking like overcooked toffee.

I didn’t sign up for magical plagues or town-wide terror. I just wanted to restock the chamomile and keep my cat-dragon from setting the curtains on fire.

But Willowbark has other plans. And this time, no tincture in the world can keep the nightmares at bay. Grab your copy of this witch cozy mystery today!

This third book in the The Witches of Willowbark series is a great addition to a fun series. Aurora, who inherited her grandmother's Apothecary is being tutored by Maeve who owns a Bookshop to develop and control her powers. Aurora is happy with her store in the quiet small town with Floofs a dragon/cat shifter until Opal mysteriously drops off a tincture and leaves only to be found hanging from a tree in Giimmerfen Forest. Why did she drop off the tincture and what is happening to the townspeople? Something sinister is going on and Aurora and the the Muskberry Coven try and find the answers. This is an edge of your seat, page turning book that keeps you totally engaged until the end. Not only do I highly recommend this third book, I highly recommend the entire series so far and I can't wait to see what the next adventure will be for Aurora. I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Such a good series! The characters are interesting. The small town setting is perfect for the story of witches and humans living together. The storylines really keep my attention. Ms. Katt and Ms. Oakwood do a great job of describing everything! When I read a book, I like to feel that I am there. There’s a lot going on in this series. I would definitely recommend that you start the series with book #1, “Corpses and Cauldrons (A Witches of Willowbark Cozy Mystery Book 1).” Starting with the first book will give you the background that you need to follow along with all of the characters and storylines, so you can dive into the little town of Willowbark!

I absolutely love this series! Especially during spooky season!

Terrors and Tinctures is an excellent addition to the Witches of Willowbark series. I love the direction that the story is going. There are so many questions answered throughout the book. Plus it still leaves you wanting more.

The characters in this series are so enjoyable. I love the development each one received. The continuous plot is especially interesting because as soon as something is explained more questions are raised. I absolutely love that about this series!

I highly recommend Terrors and Tinctures!

Happy reading! 📖

Terrors and Tinctures is exactly the kind of cozy-creepy escape I love. The whole vibe feels warm, witchy, and just a little dangerous—like curling up with a blanket while something strange taps at the window. The Floofs absolutely stole my heart, and Maeve? I want her as my best friend, full stop. She’s funny, loyal, and the kind of character you just feel safe with, even when the world around her gets weird.

My only tiny wish is that a few moments had a bit more punch, but overall it’s a charming, atmospheric read that balances sweetness and spookiness perfectly. I genuinely loved my time in this world and can’t wait to go back

Terrors and Tinctures is an Excellent story about Aurora who inherited her Grannies Apothecary and is learning to increase her magical powers as a witch a Dragon that shifts to a Cat and is called Floofs. Maeve who owns a Bookshop and is Teaching and Guiding Aurora. The town Humans and Witches are being effected maybe by a spell or poison? Aurora and the Muskberry Coven try to analyse what is happening and protect the town. But can they find out who is doing this and find the truth?
Superb story and series that I recommend you read.

This a wonderful continuation in The Witches of Willowbark series. Aurora discovers more of her magic. She is approached by Opal with a tincture and then leaves. Unfortunely, Opal is found hanging in Giimmerfen Forest, so she does not get any answers as to why she is given the tincture or why. I highly recommend this story. It is a wonderful addition and we get some more glimpses into Aurora's past and she may get some answers to her parents and gram. Floffies is a wonderful companion for her in her journey to find answers.

Another exciting glimpse into life in Willowbark. I would definitely recommend that you read the series in order as there is a strong back story. This one makes some major strides in resolving some past issues.

If you like paranormal cozies with nail-biting suspense, you'll like this book. FYI - the setting is the Christmas season, if you like to read holiday books.

Things really speed up in this book. Rory finds out some pretty interesting secrets about her parents. I loved reading this book. It had a lot of action, both magical and mundane. It had answers to some of the minor mysteries from previous books. It did leave Rory and Connor in further danger. I can’t wait for the next book! This one was so much fun to read!

Aurora is learning how to use her powers of magic. People in town are falling into an enchanted sleep. And a corpse is found hanging from a tree. What is going on in town and can Aurora solve what is going on? Another fine story.
