Claudia is picking up Mr. Smith her cat when she finds the body of the veterinarian. What happened? Murder? The truth comes out leading to an arrest! 😏

A trip to the vet turns into a tragedy. Interesting and enjoyable, I love that these books are quick fast paced reads that only take about 30-40 minutes to finish. This one brought back memories of a grumpy cat I once owned, and an encounter with 3 seagulls who actually chased my daughter, granddaughter and myself as we were carrying a bag of food from a takeout restaurant. We ended up throwing the food to them as one was hovering very close to my head. This is exactly why I love all of the books by this very talented author, not only entertaining, but always something you can relate to in your own life. And as usual I was wrong about the culprit, I was so sure it was the receptionist who seemed to extremely jealous of her employer. As these books come out once per week I won't have to wait long for the next one.
Claudia has to take her animals to the vet. After wrangling Mr. Smith in his carrier she is off to the vet. The new vet has more than doctoring on his mind but Claudia turns him down. Later when she goes to pick up Mr. Smith she finds the new veterinarian dead. Of course the vet assistant who strongly dislikes her and doesn’t bother hiding it, thinks it is Claude’s fault. Can Claudia find the real killer? I really enjoyed this one. Can’t wait to see how things develop with Claudia and Hugo. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book provided by the publisher.
What a crazy thing to walk into, a vet office where the vet who’d just looked at her cat was dead. The only one Claudia could think was mad enough at the doctor was her cat he’d done an exam on. Obviously Mr. Smith wasn’t the perp though, and I was as surprised as Claudia to find out who it was. Claudia meanwhile had been exploring how she felt lately about Hugo and enjoying their time together, so the ending was really sweet. I’m betting she stays after all when her year’s up. At least I’m hoping so anyway.
Claudia takes her dog Leo and her cat Mr Smith to the vet for shots. The cat is so uncooperative that the vet says it is best to sedate the cat before the examination so he will not hurt himself. She can come back at 6 to pick him up. When she does she finds the vet dead. The story moves quickly from there. A fun read.
Claudia has her hands full having to take both pets to the vets office. She returns for the cat to find an unwelcome surprise. Trying not to get in the middle of things she tries to push it out of her mind. No such luck. Pick up a copy to see how it all works out. Loved the ending & can’t wait to see what happens next.
This is the next in the Egret Isle cozy mystery series. Claudia heads to the new vet on the island to take her Dad’s grumpy cat for his shots. When she goes back to pick him up, she finds the new vet dead. Who did it, or was it a normal death? He was charging so much that there were a lot of people who hated him. If it was murder, who’s responsible. Great novella series.
Well for those with pets there is the need for a vet visit. And how much is this going to cost? If they are the only ones available they can change what ever they want. Now what could happen. Murder! But on the bright side later there was a really nice thing that happened. He asked her something important.
I like this story. It flowed with ease from the last book to this one. Characters still make us feel welcome. The home town is still memorable and of course: the who dunit was a mite harder this time. I can't wait for Patti Benning's next book.
A visit to the vet has Claudia with another possible love interest. But it will be a quick flirt when she ends up finding the handsome vet dead when she returns to pick up her tabby. Who wanted the vet dead and what secrets was he hiding? It’s never a dull moment in Egret Isle.
