I wasn’t looking for a savior. I was just trying to breathe. I was just trying to breathe.
But Callum Devlin didn't come to save me. He came to ruin everything that ever tried to keep me caged.
Raised in the shadows of my father's empire, I was born into silence and control. Then Callum showed up—dark eyes, rough hands, and a stare that cut me open.
He saw something in me I'd buried deep. And he didn't just want it. He claimed it.
Now, my past is unraveling. My mother's ghost claws at the cracks, and the man I should run from is the only one I trust when everything goes to hell.
This isn't just a love story, it's an obsession. And I don't know if we'll make it out whole—but I know we'll make it out bloody.
A dark romance full of trauma, teeth, and twisted devotion. The Ruin That Loves Me will grab you by the throat and whisper, "You were always mine."
Dahlia Graves writes romance stories that dive into love’s intensity, whether soft and healing or dark and consuming. Her debut novel, The Ruin That Loves Me, is a dark romance and the beginning of her journey into the genre.
A reader long before she was an author, Dahlia fell in love with romance through tropes like found family, “touch her and die,” and possessive heroes. She adores dark romance most of all, but also loves romantasy, contemporary, and suspense romance—and never says no to a cowboy romance.
When she isn’t writing until 2 a.m. (despite having a full-time job), she’s probably curled up with a book and an iced espresso or chai tea in hand, adding to the endless TBR pile that first made her fall in love with stories.
I Loved this book and the way it starts with her life and then Callum as a mystery man. And the suspense building till they met was incredible. I do have to say that I love the backstory we get on every character as reading further in the book. And the way Callum lets Seraphine lead (I melted ) and the way he was with her every step of the way.

I was absolutely blown away that this was the authors debut novel. The writing and storytelling was impeccable and I’m so excited to see where this journey takes this author. Highly recommend this one!
