Cold A Gripping True Crime Thriller Inspired by Real-Life Disappearances

A missing college student.

A haunting podcast.

A detective with one last chance to uncover the truth.

Fifteen years after Erin Moore vanished without a trace, a popular true crime podcast reignites interest in the cold case — and Detective Mark Hale can’t ignore the echoes of his greatest failure. Nearing retirement and still haunted by Erin’s disappearance, Hale reopens the file when a mysterious tip links her to another unsolved case… and the same elusive suspect.

But there’s more behind the mic than meets the ear.

The podcast’s host isn’t just a storyteller — she’s Megan Moore, Erin’s younger sister, hiding behind a pseudonym and risking everything to expose the man she believes took her sister. For months, she’s been secretly communicating with the suspect, playing a dangerous game to draw him out.

As Hale and Megan race against time, the trail leads them deep into a web of secrets, lies, and hidden horrors. What they uncover will shatter lives — and not everyone will make it out alive.

Perfect for fans of Gone Girl, Serial, and The Girl on the Train, Cold Case blends psychological suspense, true crime intrigue, and emotional depth in a chilling, binge-worthy novel you won’t be able to put down.

A good plot for a story with interesting characters. However, it is poorly written. The entire story is told within the first five to ten chapters, then the author starts all over again adding more details. Hint: delete the first part from the file and resubmit it. The Kindle version also needs some work on the formatting.
