Close Encounters

Rate this book
They say it's always been happening. They say we just started noticing.
When you look up at the night sky, what do you see? Stars, certainly. Perhaps the moon, a planet or two, if you know where to look. Maybe the blinking lights of a passing aircraft, following its predetermined path from one city to another. These are the things we're supposed to see. The things we can explain.

But sometimes, people see more.

This book contains forty-four accounts from individuals around the world who claim to have encountered something else in our skies—and in some cases, much closer than that. These are their stories, told in their own words, submitted to us through various channels over the past three years. We make no claims about the veracity of these accounts. We are not investigators, scientists, or skeptics. We are simply collectors of stories that people feel compelled to tell, often at great personal cost. Many of our contributors have requested anonymity, fearing ridicule, professional consequences, or worse. Some have shared their experiences here for the first time, having kept silent for years or even decades.

What you're about to read ranges from brief encounters lasting mere seconds to extended experiences that have left permanent marks on those who lived through them. Some describe classic scenarios that have entered our cultural consciousness—missing time on dark highways, strange lights moving in impossible ways, the feeling of being watched by something not quite human. Others report encounters that defy even the broad categories we've created to contain the unexplainable.

As you read these accounts, you may find yourself skeptical. That's natural and perhaps even healthy. You may also find yourself remembering odd moments from your own life—that strange light you saw but dismissed, that period of time you can't quite account for, that feeling of being observed when logic said you were alone.

Whether you believe these stories or not, one thing is the people who shared them believe them. For them, these events are as real as anything else in their lives, and often more vivid. They've chosen to break their silence, to risk disbelief and mockery, because keeping these experiences locked inside had become unbearable.

What follows are their words, not ours. We simply collected them.

Look up tonight. Most of you will see only stars.
But some of you will see more.
And a few of you already have.

I collect stories that keep you up at night. My books dive deep into true accounts of the paranormal, cryptid encounters, and the high strangeness that lurks in the shadows of our everyday lives.

Stay curious. Stay cautious. And remember—just because you can't explain something doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Terrifying Close Encounters

Another superb encounter book, this one focusing on UFOs. The breadth and depth are amazing, frightening and terrifying. Author is a must read, hope she continues to publish more. These stories you won’t find anywhere else.
