One small-town bookstore. One single dad with a secret. One chance neither of them expected.Ollie Jennings has built his life around quiet routines and safe choices. Running Maple Hill’s only bookstore is his dream, but when a burst pipe floods the shop, he’s suddenly out of his depth.
Finn O’Riley doesn’t talk about the fact that he writes bestselling romance novels under a pen name. As far as his hometown knows, he’s the steady project manager overseeing renovations around town, focused on raising his daughter and keeping his past close to the chest.
Forced into each other’s orbit by the renovation, Ollie and Finn can’t ignore the pull between them—no matter how much safer it would be to stay apart. But with Ollie terrified of being left behind and Finn terrified of being truly seen, their growing connection feels as fragile as the books stacked in Ollie’s window.
Room to Dream is a cozy small-town MM romance filled with found family, a secret-keeping single dad, forced proximity renovations, and the kind of happily ever after that makes a house feel like home.
I enjoyed the book, but I thought it was a little too long. Ollie portrays himself as a happy person, but he's hiding all of his insecurities. Whereas Finn is a workaholic, but he's hiding his alter ego, he's a famous author of male romance. Finn feels that if the truth comes out, repercussions are going to present themselves, and he doesn't want to take that chance. Let alone, he's falling in love with Ollie.
So so good! Ollie and Finn have a beautiful connection that slowly builds. They have so many open and honest conversations. Truly you can see the love they have jump off the page!
