Feretti Syndicate #6

Ruined By Ravishment: A Bodyguard Forbidden Love Mafia Romance

Rate this book
The wedding is tomorrow. And I'm done playing by their rules.

There are luminously beautiful women and then there's... Lucrezia Feretti. Only sister to the most brutal mafia don on the East Coast.

Best part? She doesn't even know she's perfect. She's engrossed in painting emotional landscapes and helping other traumatized women heal their wounds.

And I'm completely engrossed in keeping her safe. No man will ever take her from us again. No asshole will ever do that to her again. Not while I walk this earth, even if it's on my knees.

I've observed her battle her demons with a ferocity I haven't seen in the hardest hit man.

And now this ... to be bartered off in an arranged marriage because the Russians want to muscle in on our casino operation. She deserves better.

Her luminescence is what keeps this killer family from descending into the darkest hells.

But who am I to say? A nobody--hired muscle, violent enforcer. A fixer who lives in the shadows. My illicit fascination for the mafia princess is from afar, a totally off-limits forbidden fantasy.

She may be unbreakable, a blade beneath silk, but every night I dream about making her submit to my dark desires.

The only woman I can't have is the only one I want.

One taste and I'd burn this entire stinking city down for her.

This forced marriage might destroy her.

I'll fight them but I can no longer fight my hunger for her.

If I try to claim what should be mine it could ignite a war between the New York families - Bring it on.

*Ruined By Ravishment is a full-length dark mafia, Bodyguard protection , Forbidden love romance loaded with dangerous loyalty, trauma healing, impossible choices, and most of all, a ton of steam heat. No cheating and a guaranteed HEA.

This is the sixth book in Feretti Syndicate mafia series. Each book in this series features a different couple and can be read as a standalone, but for maximum enjoyment, follow the recommended reading order.

ARC Review- This book was AMAZING!!!! Lucrezia and Daniel’s story was what I needed in my life! It had the spice, the danger, the excitement, the love, the shock at some points, and the plot was chefs kiss! it made me cry a few spots because I felt every word that Sherry Blake wrote and could relate, I laughed out loud, I was on the edge of my seat, it was just incredible and wrote perfectly! Lu has been through a lot in her life and Daniel has been her bodyguard for years, and has seen her go through it all. She’s supposed to marry a different man though… will it happen?! I highly recommend reading these books in the Feretti Series but definitely read them in order, so you know who is who and the past of Lucrezia too. I have to say that this one, out of all 6 books, is my FAVORITE! I love Lucrezia! Sherry Blake… you are AMAZING!!! Cannot wait for the next one!

ARC Review, thx Sherry Blake

This is the 6th book in the Feretti Syndicate series and is about Lucrezia and Daniel. Lucrezia was r*ped in the first book and has been struggling with what she experienced ever since. This time, the timeline is more accurate, although this book doesn't include any flashbacks related to the parents of the Feretti children. It's still strange that the r*pe happened two years ago; her brother Damiano met Zoe then, and now Zoe already has 2! kids?
Let's talk about Lucrezia. You suffer with her throughout the entire book and often want to shake her because she always thinks about others, never about herself. For me, Damiano (her brother), whom I liked in the first book, earned a lot of negative points. What he demands of Lucrezia is simply impossible. I also miss the time when Daniel and Lucrezia fall in love.
Otherwise, the story of Lucrezia and Daniel is beautifully written. The chemistry between the two is good. The naughty scenes / Smut with light BDSM elements are hot. Daniel loves Lucrezia and would do anything for her, "touch her and die vibes".
In addition to the romantic relationship between Daniel and Lucrezia, the reader can also clearly sense Lucrezia's relationship with her brothers. Damiano behaves very heartlessly, while Enzio is a true sweetheart. Lucrezia is supposed to marry a Sartori brother so that the casino doesn't have to close, but we only learn about this event and the relationship between the two in passing. The ending is an action-packed ending, but HEA for Daniel and Lucrezia.
Overall, I give it 3.5 stars. In the entire series, this book is one of my favorites.
Hea, no cheating or sharing

This was my first time reading Sherry Blake and I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly her writing flows. The pacing is steady, and I was engaged from beginning to end.

I really liked the main characters, Lucrezia and Daniel. Lucrezia carries a quiet strength—she’s been through a deeply traumatic abduction and assault two years prior, and you can feel her sadness and vulnerability underneath everything she does. Yet, she’s stronger than she gives herself credit for. She constantly puts others before herself, sometimes to her own detriment, and that self-sacrificial nature made me feel for her.

Daniel, her bodyguard / security, sees her differently than she sees herself. He doesn’t treat her as someone broken—he sees the resilience, the courage, and the way she keeps going despite everything she’s faced. Their chemistry felt natural and meaningful, grounded in understanding and respect rather than only attraction.

I also enjoyed the family dynamics; the supporting characters add warmth and depth to the story.

After reading this, I definitely want to go back and read the earlier books in the series.

Thank you to the author for the ARC—this is my honest review.

Lucrezia and Daniel’s story is a well written emotional roller coaster of a read. The danger, drama, deceit, healing and love keep you turning the pages. Daniel ever the stoic and steadfast bodyguard will do anything to ensure Lu’s safety, but he doesn’t dare cross the line as his feelings for her begin bubbling to the surface. Lucrezia knows she can count on Daniel to always have her back but soon she’s seeing him in a different light. Unfortunately, Lu has grudgingly accepted her fate and will marry into another family forcing an alliance, or will she? Will Daniel stand idly by as the woman he loves marries someone she neither loves nor chose? The twists and turns as the pair fight for their HEA against friends and foe alike prove more than challenging. Thanks to the author for the opportunity to be a part of her ARC team to read and review her work.

Seriously? So many inconsistencies, and honestly, how is a mafia book boring?

Lu and Daniel were done dirty in this one, which made reading the other stories a waste of time. Honestly, after the first two books, things descended into a yawnfest smattered with subpar spice and some of the worst FMCs ever.

This was a case of changing characters to fit the desired story, which honestly just pissed me off. Beyond that, there were WAY too many scenes and conversations that served zero purpose. Half of what happened made zero sense given the arrangements in the first few books - like the evolution doesn't land at all.

This is disappointing storytelling with zero character development.

Read it in one day!’

I love how each book focuses on a different member of the family or extended family while still keeping all the main characters overlapping throughout. I will admit when I read the synopsis, I wasn’t sure how this topic was going to play out knowing how Lucrezia and Damian’s were at opposite ends! . With your other 5 and now this one, you never disappoint!! I hope the 7th book will be just as enjoyable. Unfortunately, the 7th book does not show a description of what that book is about

I've been looking forward to Lucrezia's story for quite a while. It's realistic, brutal but yet romantic. Lucrezia is compelling and has a strong backbone. She has been through so much. It's an intense story that gripped my heart and wouldn't let go. I rooted for Lucrezia throughout the book. Her story is captivating and her feelings for Daniel are strong. Daniel is perfect. The romantic things he says to Lucrezia will melt your heart. It's a must read.

Ah, the yearning was definitely there. It’s wild that Lu didn’t feel anything for him for so long, and then suddenly she’s on his wavelength. Though he always stayed professional. The whole wedding and drama thing was really unnecessary, even if the second attempt made sense for the rest of the series. I really liked the dynamic between them and really enjoyed reading it.

⭐ARC Review⭐

This book wrecked me, like actual tears were shed while reading, and my heart broke for both main characters at times. If you love Michelle Heard or Sonja Grey books, then you need to read this one.

If you enjoy mafia romance, forbidden romance, and/or a bodyguard who falls for the one person he was meant to protect, then you'll eat this up.

She's had a traumatic past, and then gets told she has to marry into another mafia family. She isn't happy about it, and neither is her bodyguard. He'll stop at nothing to make her his.

Daniel stole my heart with his love for Lu, his patience with her, and his help in navigating her trauma. I loved the plot and how it flowed perfectly, making it easy to follow along and incredibly emotional. Sherry had me in tears more than once, and I felt the raw emotion that the characters were feeling. My heart sank at times, and I kept turning pages to find out if they were going to get the happily ever after that they deserved.

One of my favourite micro tropes is when the big tough guy gets caught staring at the girl he wants and then denies it when other people notice, definitely a top 5 for me in this book.

This is the 6th book in the series and the first book by Sherry that I've read, and I'll definitely be going back to the start and reading the others.

Two “broken” people come together to heal with each other. This story follows FMC Lucrezia and MMC Daniel. I felt so many emotions for Lu and so many for Daniel as well. Daniel was hired to protect Lu. Protecting is the only thing he can semi control. Because of his past, that is what he is used to. Then we have Lu who went through so much trauma. It was so beautiful to watch their relationship and see them heal each other. I like that the author focused on Lu being able to make a choice for herself. Daniel encouraged that. I’ve always loved a forbidden romance, so this did not disappoint. It was just amazing!
