Anaconda Tales #3

Trapped Truth

Rate this book
Once my teammates and fellow agents.
Now… my family. My salvation.

After a brutal operation to cripple our enemies, we’re left wounded. Shattered. Forced into hiding to pick up the broken pieces.

But this case is far from over. Something far more dangerous is brewing in the shadows.

With the Anaconda Team at my side, I’ve confronted the monsters from my past. Those demons no longer own me. All I want now is a future with the four men I’ve come to call mine.

Yet hiding won’t save us.
Not from what’s coming.

When a familiar foe emerges to command the criminal empire that once held me captive, the family I’ve fought so hard to protect becomes their next target.
To survive, we must stand together. As loyalties are tested and our bonds pushed to their breaking point, old enemies become unlikely allies, and every decision comes with a body count.

Asset 768 survived so Ember Lawson could walk free. Now I must fight for us both to earn our freedom once and for all.

Justice is mine for the taking.
If the truth doesn’t kill us first.

Author’s Note: Set in the J Rose shared universe, Trapped Truth (Anaconda Tales #3) is the explosive conclusion to this dark, why choose trilogy that must be read in order.

We have gotten to conclusion of Anaconda Tales and wow… I’m sad it’s over :(

Ember was such a good fmc (granted I always LOVE J’s female leads, she just writes them so well)! And the way this found family was so slow to intertwine was so good. I adore a slow burn, and this was torture in the best way.
Seeing them learn to ALL share? Yea okay I wasn’t expecting that. But I’m HERE FOR IT!!!

Uncovering more and more family members in this book was also such a fun twist, as well as becoming close to the ones we met in book 2. The twins? Wow. WOW. It was so hate to love that the bickering at the end was so sibling coded, I could’ve cried.

Remember that this is deep, this is emotional. These stories are traumatic. Rose writes about things that you don’t want to think about on a daily basis, but does it in a way that intrigues the reader and heals the soul. Please check your trigger warnings, always.

And the cliffy in the epilogue regarding my fav series?! HYFR!!!!!

Well, that’s a wrap on the Anaconda Tales series, which feels incredibly bittersweet. As always, J. Rose’s writing completely sucks you in and I was utterly engrossed during the 24 hours I spent bingereading this book. The found family aspect in her books is something I wholeheartedly love and Trapped Truth absolutely delivers on that front. What a ride it was getting to follow Ember and her crew of men, I was completely invested in their journey from start to finish. I genuinely cannot wait to see what J. Rose comes up with next, and, as per usual, I 100% recommend this one.

That’s a wrap on the Anaconda Team’s story! What a ride it has been. As always, J Rose delivered a story with suspense, tension, danger, romance, action, spice, and, most importantly, a cast of characters who are sad, flawed, and broken but find ways to glue their fractured pieces together and become a family. I say this in almost every review for her books, but she truly gets me every time! I’ve been patiently waiting for this book since reading Ravaged Soul last year and being left on that insane cliff-hanger. So many things go down at the end of that book, and Trapped Truth picks up right where we left off.

Being that this is the last book in the trilogy, I don’t want to talk too much about the plot, so my focus in this review is going to mainly be the characters.

I loved Ember immediately when I started this trilogy. Em spent six years as 768. She was trafficked and sold to the cartel, who trained her into a ruthless underground fighter. Now, three books later, we’ve seen her fight, get pushed down, and get back up again. We’ve watched her overcome the blows life has dealt and find closure, finally being able to close this chapter of her story. It makes me so happy and proud to see how far Ember has come since the beginning of this story. She remains a force to be reckoned with. She is steadfast and brave, but she has also opened up throughout the series, finding more of herself and reclaiming that vulnerability and softness, especially amongst her men.

As for the guys, they each hold a special place in my heart. Warner stole my heart first in Harrowdean Manor. I’ve had a blast reading his story and seeing him find his happy ending! For Ember, Warner is her soft place to land. He’s the calm in the storm. These two grew up together, and he knows the Ember from before and the Ember now, and he loves, cherishes, and accepts her unconditionally. My favorite guy, Blaine, literally stole the show from the first chapter of Fractured Future lol! Since then, I’ve grown to love him even more. He understands Em in a way the others aren’t fully capable of. Because of his upbringing, Blaine can understand her darker, more violet sides. They see parts of themselves in each other. Then there’s Axel; my favorite psycho golden retriever with his love for corny graphic tees🙂‍↕️ He’s definitely the goofball of the Anaconda Team, but he can go 0 to 100 real quick when needed. He’s absolutely adorable and was so down bad for Ember from the very beginning. I also loved learning his backstory; it was a highlight of the series for me. And finally, the team's fierce and ever-loyal protector, Hyland. Hy is the quieter, more brooding type, but he has his soft moments, and he truly has a heart of gold under that grumpy exterior.

Something I will forever rave about is how much I love the way J Rose does Why Choose. I have never once questioned or failed to understand why this group of people came together to form a family. The way she writes it makes it clear as day that each of them completes the other in one way or another. It’s like they're all missing pieces of a puzzle who have finally come back together. It’s beautiful and perfect. Ember and her guys each have distinct, unique relationships, but together they form a family that supports, loves, and relies on one another.

I do wish we got a little more of Hyland and Axel in this book! I don’t know if I’m feeling like this because it’s been a while since I read the first two books, but it just felt like we got a lot of Blaine and Warner but not too much of Hy and Ax. Don’t get me wrong, I still very much enjoyed every little bit of this book, and I’ll never complain about getting Blaine and Warner scenes, but since it’s the last book, I would’ve loved to see a bit more of them.

Ok, now let’s discuss all the amazing cameos we got in here because oh my god I was reeling from excitement. Fun fact: Blackwood Institute is my favorite J Rose series, so quite literally anytime we got Hud and Kade mentions throughout this trilogy, you can bet your ass there were tears in my eyes. And in Trapped Truth? Oh my god!! We got to see all the heathens (which means I teared up A LOT)!!! That Christmas chapter literally had me screaming and crying. We also got another fun cameo that I can’t say too much about, but I was happy to see them too! The conversation between Ember and them made me want to give both of them the biggest hug.

And I honestly can’t move on without saying something about G🫢… Listen, I NEED a book about him stat. I don’t know what it is, but I’m obsessed and need to know everything about him, so fingers crossed J Rose has some ideas for him because I’d devour it.

To quickly touch on the plot without saying too much, I was very satisfied with that ending. Everything was answered and resolved without anything being rushed. I always love seeing characters I’ve become so connected to get out on the other side. It’s not an easy journey, and there will be loss, but in the end we get to see Ember and her men get the ending they deserve.

Finally, before I shut up and close out this review, I need everyone to know I’m freaking out over that epilogue. I can’t even talk about it, but if you know, you know😭 This is my Super Bowl, and I won’t shut up about it for the foreseeable future.

Overall, The Anaconda Tales trilogy is an intense, emotional, and suspenseful ride. J Rose will keep you on your toes till the very end (especially in this one🤭), and I promise you’ll love every second of it. While I’m sad to be saying goodbye to the Anaconda Team, I’m so happy that Ember, Axel, Blaine, Warner, and Hyland have found their peace. If you haven’t read this series yet, I highly recommend it, and while you're at it, take a look into J Rose’s other series that are also in this universe!

Thank you so much to Valentine PR and J Rose for the ARC! All thoughts are my own.

I've just read the last page and boy, I'm gonna miss these four.

"Trapped Truth" is the great conclusion to the "Anaconda Tales" trilogy that kept me on my feet the entire time. A long time has passed since I read the second book, but the minute I started this one, I emerged in the story without a problem. There was no confusion of who one of the characters was or what happened at some point of the story, which for me is an indicator that this trilogy really is nestled inside my heart and was just waiting to be finished.

As always, I just love J Rose world building and writing style. She has that talent to trap you inside her books and to keep you there even when you are not reading. I am always scared with last books in series, because I had my fair share of disappointments there, but with J Rose's books, there's not even an ounce of fear, because I know that everything she writes is top of the top.

It was great seeing again all the four members of Anaconda Team and all the other characters from some of her previous works - it feels like returning home. And it shows me something I really value - that even the character's whose series are finishes, continue to live their lives, which makes them even more real.

This book was filled with tense and fast paced action, hot spicy scences, heavy emotions and so much love. I felt complete while reading it, because it has just the right amount of everything I love in books. It didn't lack heavy and thought worthy themes and although at times it felt hard to breath because of the brutality of what all the victims of ht went through, I'm thankful that the author didn't shy away from showing the truth about those horrors.

I love how far have all four of the main characters come and I love the support system they became for one another. Their story is truly inspiring and filled with intense emotions, that would stay long with me.

And let me not forget, the surprise at the end of the book!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? My mouth dropped from the shock! I just love J Rose!!

ARC Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ huge stars!!!!!

Book: Trapped Truth (Anaconda Tales book 3)

I wish I could give infinite stars to all of her books! My most anticipated release of this year, anxiously awaiting another J Rose book. And she once again delivered! I knew it was going to be amazing

"𝘞𝘦’𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘴 𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳. 𝘉𝘺 𝘤𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘶𝘮𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘴, 𝘪𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳."

There's just something so comforting about her writing. I'm able to fly through her pages and completely emerge myself in her worlds. No matter how dark it gets

"𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵, 𝘣𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘺 𝘣𝘪𝘵. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘐’𝘥 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘰𝘸𝘯. 𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴."

I love this group of broken souls. They got the ending that they deserved. Perfect amount of action, heart racing moments, delicious chemistry, angst and so much more. I freaking loved it

I want to thank J Rose and Valentine PR for sending me an eARC to read and review 🖤

Well… that’s a wrap on the Anaconda Team.

Babes I’m going to need everyone to understand something before we get into this review….
THIS WAS MY 10TH ARC BY J. ROSE.
At this point, I think the evidence speaks for itself.😂🫠
I am unapologetically a J. Rose babe.

Trapped Truth?
She did it AGAIN.🐍🔥

This is the explosive conclusion to the Anaconda Tales trilogy and I’m feeling very “I’m not crying, you’re crying” about saying goodbye to Ember and her men.

Ember has come SO damn far.
We first met her as Asset 768….a woman who survived horrors no person should ever have to endure. Across this trilogy, we watched her fight, break, rebuild, and slowly learn that surviving isn't the only thing she deserves.
She deserves to LIVE.

And watching Ember reclaim herself while simultaneously building this completely chaotic, unconventional, ride-or-die family with Warner, Blaine, Axel, and Hyland was easily one of my favorite parts of the entire series. 🥹🖤

Let's talk about this WHY CHOOSE FAMILY.

Each relationship gives Ember something different.
Warner is her safe place. Her history. Her calm.
Blaine understands the darker pieces of her…the parts she doesn't have to explain.
Axel is our chaotic slightly unhinged golden retriever who can make you laugh one second and remind you exactly how dangerous he is the next. 😂(my fave obviously)
And Hyland… our quiet broody protector with the soft heart hiding under all that grumpy energy.🥹

Together? THEY JUST MAKE SENSE.
They're all broken in different ways and they become the exact people each other needs.
And THAT is why J. Rose's found families hit me so freaking hard.

They're not perfect.
They're not untouched by their past.
They're not magically healed because they found love.
They simply stop having to face everything alone.
And BABES… that gets me every damn time.😭

I LOVED getting more of the extended universe woven into this story. Those cameos?🥹
If you know J. Rose's other books you're going to understand exactly why those moments hit differently. And if you don't…
GO READ THE OTHER SERIES.
The shared universe is one of my favorite things about J. Rose's books because it makes everything feel so much bigger than one individual story.
And then there was that EPILOGUE.

I KNOW WHAT YOU DID.👀
I can’t say a damn thing without spoiling it but if you've been following this universe you already know why I was sitting there losing my freaking mind.
That was not an epilogue. That was a THREAT. 😂😭

This series is NOT an easy, fluffy ride. These books deal with some incredibly heavy and traumatic subject matter and J. Rose doesn't shy away from the darkness. So please, babes, check those content warnings before diving in. 🖤
What I love most is that even through all that darkness, J. Rose writes stories about survival, healing, love, and finding the people who become home.

And that's what I'll remember most about this trilogy.
Not just the danger. Not just the spice. Not just the twists.
The family.
The people who looked at Ember and didn't see Asset 768.
They saw Ember.
And they loved her exactly as she was.🥹🖤

Thank you so much to Valentine PR & J. Rose for another ARC.

ARC Review:

5/5 stars

This book was everything I could have hoped for and more in the conclusion to Ember, Warner, Hyland, Axel and Blaine’s story.

This book picked up right where we left off at the end of book two and was action packed from start to finish. There were so many twists and turns throughout this one which kept me hooked, as well as funny and heartfelt moments between not just Ember and her men, but also from characters in previous J.Rose works.

This book was a wild ride and wrapped up Ember’s story so beautifully. All the plotlines were concluded, and I thought the way this story was written was fitting for these characters. They all got the peace and happiness they fought so hard for, and to see them make it through to the other side together was everything.

Watching the connection between Ember and her men develop into something unbreakable over this book was everything, and I loved seeing the way the guys went from untrusting of one another, to being able to not only joke around with one another, but to also share and come together to form a family unit. These characters had such great development over not just this book, but the entire series and I was so happy to see them get their happy ending.

The cameos in this book made me so happy; I love this shared universe J.Rose has created! Seeing the found family all of these characters have created with one another, where they can all turn to each other for advice, to talk to someone who understands what they are going through, or to just be made me so happy. These characters have such a unique bond with one another, and I will never get enough of seeing them together, happy and celebrating each other’s wins. I just love these characters and this universe so much!

I cannot post this review without also talking about a certain someone whose name starts with a G. There was something about him which had me so intrigued from when we were first introduce to him, and that intrigue only grew as I saw his character develop over the course of this book. I need a book about him because I need to know everything about him and what his future looks like after everything that happened in this one.

Also, that epilogue!? I am still freaking out over that announcement and cannot wait for what’s to come in the shared J.Rose universe!

This book was incredible, so well written and wrapped up Ember’s story so beautifully. Congratulations on another incredible release; I can’t wait for what’s to come in the world of J.Rose 💚

And with that, the Anaconda Tales trilogy has come to an end.

And what an end it was. I sometimes feel like a broken record when I talk about J Rose books, simply because I have loved every single one of them and, as with all of her other books, she has truly done these characters justice and I just love how she represents different mental health struggles and illnesses as well as disabilities and makes all of us feel seen in some shape or form in her books.

The Anaconda crew truly went through it in this book, from starting the book where we left of in Ravaged Soul, with Axel being shot, the crew escaping to and hiding in Briar Valley, and just being at a place where they are utterly exhausted. And that was not the end of the hardships that they had to face throughout the book, but it wouldn't be a J Rose book if the characters weren't thoroughly tested and put through the wringer before they get their happy ending.

I had said to multiple people that, in my opinion, this book and series would be the puzzle piece in the middle that would attach all the other series together and combine them in one place, and I am happy to say that I was correct and I loved EVERY SECOND of it. Seeing so many different characters from all the other series appear was truly so special, from Willow in Briar Valley and getting to see not only her friendship with Hyland but also her connection to Ember, seeing the friendship between Warner and Ripley as well as the rest of the Harrowdean crew, and seeing the Blackwood crew not only in their own home but also more of Hudson and Kade as the heads of Sabre Security was everything I could have wished for and more. There are more friendships that developed throughout the book that I absolutely adored, but I don't want to spoil anything, so I will leave that up to you to find out when you read the book, as well as a very exciting thing that is announced at the end of the book.

This book also reinforced my love for Blaine again; I love that man so much and seeing so many different and new facettes of him in this book and seeing how he had learned so much about himself and let himself open up to not only Ember and the love he had for her but also to the realisation that it is okay to let his walls down and let others in, and that it is okay to have a family and people to rely on and lean on was truly so special to me and made me not only relate to him but also love him more as a character.

This story is book three in the series and the conclusion to the trilogy. We finally get an ending for Ember and her men and Rose did not disappont. I do have to say that at the starting, it was a bit hard to get into because I totally forgot what even happened in book 2. It hasn’t been long, but I guess my memory just forgot the important stuff. The pacing was great and I enjoyed seeing more of the Maden underground. There were a lot of conflicts in this book to keep the story going but there were also a lot of healing and cute moments. This book is mainly told from Ember’s pov but we also get her men’s.

Ember is the FMC of the story, and I loved seeing all of her growth in this book. She became such a strong woman, and I loved seeing her happily ever after after all she went through. In this book, we do get all the guys, but I have to say that Blaine stole the scenes. I loved his character and seeing him become a part of the group, and also his love for Ember. Warren, Ax, and Hyland were also great and had their moments. There were many other characters in this book, but there are some characters from the other series in this one which I loved. I haven’t read the Blackwood Institute series yet and didn’t feel like I was missing anything important, but I for sure want to go and read the series. The romance was well done and I loved how this book was not heavily focused on the spice and more on the plot and the HEA for the family.

The ending was well done and I loved how this story ended. Especially with the way things are left off. (Don’t worry, this series is over!). I just really like the concept that Rose is about to pull off. This was a great story for the series and I can’t wait to read Rose’s other books.

Oh my gosh Ember 🥹 my heart absolutely goes out to this FMC and what she has to face, especially the way she views herself and ger own demons - the MH rep is treated so well and you really feel the emotions with her! But you do see her start to really tackle those perceptions in this last book, especially with the help of those around her! ❤️‍🩹 Despite their antagonistic ways and being natural rivals the guys truly come together in this book and for the main part can put their differences aside 😅 it’s a good job too as they really don’t know who they can trust as more and more betrayals come to light 😔 although there are some surprise allies 🙈 the twists and turns of the plot drive this story along with the relationship development - there is some spice which when it appears is HAWT 🥵 - but the driving force is definitely the plotline. Honestly at times you’re not sure whether Ember, Blaine, Hyland, Axel and Walker are actually going to get a happy ending with the way things progress; but they get the satisfying ending they deserve and their story is well wrapped up 😁

✨ARC Review✨

And just like that… the Anaconda Tales trilogy is over. 😩

This finale had EVERYTHING I wanted and I seriously can’t get over the way J. Rose writes her characters. They are broken, complicated, and beautifully imperfect, and you can’t help but root for them to find their happiness.

Ember has been one of my favorites from the beginning, but watching her grow throughout this trilogy, especially in this book, was so satisfying. And her relationships with Warner, Hyland, Axel, and Blaine were as deep and spicy as ever. Every connection feels unique, and I loved seeing how they’ve learned to trust, love, and lean on each other.

It really is so hard to pick a favorite man because they are all so amazing in their own ways.

I also LOVED all the cameos and connections to the larger J. Rose universe. Seeing the Anaconda crew, Sabre Security, and familiar faces from previous books come together made this feel like such a special finale.

The suspense and action had me on the edge of my seat, and that ending?! A dark, emotional, spicy, and incredibly satisfying conclusion is what. Saying goodbye to these characters is definitely bittersweet, but they got the ending they deserved. 🖤

ARC Review:
Book: Trapped Truth by J Rose
Genre: Dark Romance / Why Choose
Rating: 5 ⭐️ 4 🌶️
(final book of the Anaconda Tales Trilogy)

oh my word.

what an INSANE way to end this trilogy. 😭

Trapped Truth had everything - angst, tension, action, emotional damage, found family and obviously the spiceeee. 🌶️🥵

after everything Ember and her men have been through, i just wanted them to have some peace… but J Rose said absolutely not and put me through it all over again. 😂😭

i’ve loved watching these characters grow throughout the trilogy, and they all have such a huge piece of my heart. 🥹

and the ending?
after three books of secrets, heartbreak, danger and chaos, seeing everything finally come together was everything i needed.

would i recommend?

HELL YES. if you love dark romance, why choose, found family, suspense, spice and characters who completely ruin your emotional stability, READ THIS TRILOGY. 😂🌶️

J Rose really said “let me break your heart and then put it back together.”
if you're up untill 2am finishing this, you're welcome! 😭😂

thank you for letting me be part of this ARC journey. 🖤
i’m absolutely not ready to say goodbye to the Anaconda Team. 😭🐍

This book took me so long to finish because I did not want it to end.

It’s time for the anaconda team to take on their toughest enemy yet Nolan Madden. Not only is he Blaine’s dad, he is also the ring leader of one of the biggest trafficking empires in London. Taking him down will not be easy and they will have to employ help from very unexpected individuals in order to succeed.

I love watching this team come together as one. Watching Ember bring enemies together to work on the same team and choose their love for her over their need for revenge. I loved watching everyone come together to take down a common enemy. There are some characters we never thought we would see on their side.

I absolutely loved every single one of the Blackwood characters cameos. The Christmas scene was so cute. I loved watching all of the character interact. I love how J Rose connects her worlds and keeps bringing our favorite characters back together. That epilogue though!!!!!

Ember and the anaconda team have to take down Blaine's father, and he turns out to be their most difficult adversary to date.

The team that went through danger, suffering and betrayal and nearly burned out together became a family.

J Rose was very clever with her portrayal of each person's mental health amid everything that happened to them making their personalities so multidimensional. Their interactions are sometimes scary but more often side-splittingly witty.

We are also reunited with characters from past series making this a extremely satisfying conclusion.

"“There’s far more to you than your trauma,” Jude explains with infinite patience. “768 is a small part of Ember Lawson. A wonderful, brilliant part who survived unimaginable horrors.”"

This why choose romantic thriller was the perfect end to the Anaconda Tales series.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and am leaving a completely honest review.

Okay, confession time… 😅 I read books one and two as ARCs, and that was more than a year ago. So I had to dig deep into the archives of my brain to remember everything. 😂

I remembered the general storyline, but a lot of the little details had completely disappeared from my memory. So, naturally, I went back and read my review of book two to refresh myself.

And there I found this little sentence:

“I hope the chemistry between Blaine and Ember finally develops.”

Well… IT DID. 😏🔥

And Blaine… my man. 😍
He is officially my favorite MMC, with Alex following very closely behind.

I also really enjoyed seeing so many characters from J. Rose's previous series making appearances. I love how, with every book, we get little glimpses of their stories and get to see how they've evolved along the way. It makes the different series feel connected in such a fun way.

Now we wait for the next series… 👀

And after seeing what J. Rose has in store next, I'm officially intrigued enough to add that series to my TBR too.

Guess my TBR just got longer again. 😂📚

exceptional ending!

As always J Rose keeps me on the edge of my seat and emotionally invested in each characters story. This was truly a perfect end to Ember and the Anaconda teams mission. Truly a hard fought, emotional, and satisfying HEA. I also loved seeing so many other characters from stories within this world. I loved seeing Willow and her guys along with Brooklyn and her whole crazy family again. The author did such a phenomenal job not only wrapping up Embers story but also wrapping up parts of Willows story as well that you didn’t even know where missing until this book. Can’t wait too see what happens next for Sabre Security.

I absolutely loved the conclusion of Ember’s story. Seeing her take back her voice and fight her demons to come out the other side stronger was amazing.

I absolutely love watching her love for her men grow and the men learn to accept each other.

This story was everything and to see some familiar faces and some new faces was amazing!

I just absolutely LOVE J’s books and her found family is truly top tier. It’s my favorite trope and she does it so well!!

I screamed at the end that’s all I saw but she IS FEEDING US and I cannot wait!! I am ready for the next J book as always because I absolutely devour her books and love her worlds, her storytelling and her found family.

wow what a book, this was quite literally the perfect conclusion for this trilogy and ember and her men’s story, I was obsessed form the beginning (as I am with everything j rose writes!) I loved this conclusion and seeing everyone getting their justice for what has happened! Once I picked this book up I literally couldn’t put it down, trying not to scream at work about that ending was a struggle!!!! my jaw was on the floor reading that and now I am buzzing!!! I loved seeing each of these character shine during this book and also getting to see past characters again, the main characters of these books had a lot of development each, especially blaine, I loved getting to see more of him and his past, that reunion really pulled at my heart strings! I loved the banter between the main characters and the side characters, especially gunnar I hope we see more of him! overall, an amazing conclusion that has me very excited for j roses next project!

“You hold us together more than you’ll ever know, Em. You’re our foundation.”

768 survived so Ember could prevail. She fought for herself, then she fought to save others. She brought a crew of damaged and fractured men together to complete an unknowing puzzle. Each vital to the whole picture. They are the ones who show up when no one else does; the ones who never quit. We may be at the end of the Anaconda Tales trilogy, but we got everything we wanted and more. Found family. Heat. Hope. Retribution.

I know I say this everytime but the way J Rose writes dark why choose is special. You feel the connection. You crave more. You get put through the wringer, but you’ll be thanking her for it by the end. And I can’t wait to see what she does next.

Thank you to J Rose and Valentine PR for the ARC!

First of all - THE END OF THE EPILOGUE?????? I am screaming. J Rose pulled a fast one on me. Anyway, what a great way to wrap up this trilogy! Ember is a show of strength through and through. Such a strong FMC and beautifully written. Even though she’s got 4 men, she can take care of herself and really puts some truth to “I don’t need a man”. Except for those scenes that we finally got and deserve, if you know what I mean. All the men are different….none are the same and they also ALL show courage and growth throughout, especially Blaine. There was a lot of suspense and I wasn’t entirely sure about The Hunter. I loved reading everyone’s happy ending (mostly 👀). All in all, loved it. The plot, the twists (the damn epilogue), the words, the background and full circle moments, the plot to smut ratio - all good in my book.

The finale of the Anaconda Team is finally here!!!

Not gonna lie, it took me a chapter or two to remember what we were up against. I need more books to provide a recap for my terrible memory!

This final book in the series takes us on so many harrowing journeys, that it kept me entertained the whole time. You definitely won’t be bored with this series and all of its ups and downs, and the different personalities present.

Another great series in the Sabre Security world.

I waited patiently for this book and it was all worth it. The conclusion to the Anaconda team was everything I wanted it to be, or so I thought because then it exceeded my expectations. This book was packed with action and emotion. I giggled and cried. Loved all the cameos from some well loved characters. As always their where plot twists I DID NOT see coming, and oh my god the epilogue was a shock. What was expected is me loving Warner even MORE in this book, that man has my heart.

Well that was an action packed ending to Ember’s story! Lots of new information and characters are revealed making the story that much more interesting. There were quite a few nail biting scenes that I was unsure of how the outcome would be. Overall a great conclusion to this! Though I shouldn’t say ending because the little cliffy at the end of the epilogue says otherwise.

This is the third past and conclusion of this amazing trilogy.
Ember has monsters from her past appearing, buy she has the four men, Warner, Hyland, Axel, and Blaine, by her side.
This is a well written slow burn, action packed story, with found family, friendships, emotions, tension, secrets, forced proximity, obsession, danger, suspense, intrigue, loyalty, trust, why choose, healing, survival, intense chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, twisted, and unpredictable dark romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

What an epic conclusion to embers series.
I was so excited to jump back in with her & her men, to see how it all unfolds and I was not let down.
Hopefully we keep getting to see her in the future in other books because she’s won my heart

omg what did I read

Ember taking no for an answer, her fighting back, the team dynamic, and the ending alone with a surprise return of Brooklyn and her Crew. I guess I’m off to re-read Blackwood Institute.
