A fairy prince who can’t be touched. A human who can’t seem to stop.
After one too many bad decisions, I’m crashing on my cousin’s couch, desperate to get my act together. The last thing I expect is to stumble into a job at the weirdest little café I’ve ever seen—one that caters to the fae.
It’s just coffee and pastries. Until he walks in.
Thalen is… impossible. All sharp cheekbones, silken hair, and frosty glares. He’s obviously one of them—the kind of fairy that humans aren’t even supposed to look at for too long. And he definitely doesn’t want me looking at him.
Or touching him.
Everyone at the café knows the don’t touch the prince. His skin is laced with dangerous magic that burns anyone who tries.
But when he brushes past me one night and nothing happens? That’s when everything changes.
Suddenly he’s showing up at the café just to sit at my counter. Watching me when he thinks I won’t notice. Standing too close, asking quiet questions about stupid human things—like movies, and how to make pancakes, and what it feels like to hold someone’s hand.
It was supposed to just be a job. But now Thalen wants me to be the one to teach him what he’s been missing—starting with my hands on his skin. And the way he looks at me when I do?
Callie is a romance author who believes every love story deserves a happy ending — and a little heat along the way. Known for her lighthearted, swoony, and steamy novels, she delights in creating characters who make readers laugh, blush, and believe in love. When she’s not writing, Callie can be found hunting for the perfect vintage teacup, baking wildly over-decorated cupcakes, and choreographing impromptu kitchen dance parties to 80s pop hits. She lives with an ever-growing collection of romance paperbacks, a mischievous cat named Biscuit, and a firm conviction that love — like sprinkles — makes everything better.
So... I'm not trying to be hateful or accuse this author of anything, but this is WAYY too similar to the book Fairies Never Fall by Sera Bishop.. To the point I had to go back and see if I had already read this. Is it copied? I've seen some readers say it's AI?
I don't know. But I think I'll stay away from this author… if you want a much better version of this kind of story, check out Sera Bishop's book.
Jesse, a human down on his luck, gets a job as a barista at a magical café where he meets Thalen, a fairy prince who cannot be touched. However, after an accidental touch does not have Jesse writhing in pain, Thalen requests Jesse show him everything he's been missing out on. The pair grow closer the more they 'explore' the wonders of physical intimacy, and feelings quickly develop—obvi.
Honestly, this was just cute and fluffy adorableness.
𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧: - fae prince + human - instant attraction - friends with benefits - fated mates
too short for me to have any real feelings abt it. and the writing was weirdly repetitive for a book thats less than 100 pages.
also this is alarmingly similar to Sera Bishop’s “Fairies Never Fall.” like ALARMINGLY similar. I still haven’t finished that one either but it’s excellent so if you liked this but want a whole book abt it, thats for u (or if you just wanted to see it done better…sorry thats mean)
DNF 17% *sigh* At some point I should start reading free samples before getting a book. it was such obvious slop and not even in entertaining way. simply 2 random characters start having intimacy for no reason, no emotional connection, no plot, no explanations. they saw each other, the began to fap - that's it.
This one was too rushed; obvious by being about 60 pages shorter than Book 1. And the sex was almost immediate. It never felt like love at all. And the marriage/bonding ceremony was under duress. Maya was an unlikeable jerk who always talked down to Jesse even though she was supposedly the one who helped him through all his problems.
There was barely any world building, unlike Book 1. Also, there was a lot of repetition as well as some contradictions. Ex: in the beginning Thalen asked Jesse to call him by his first name when they were alone & intimate. By the next scene Jesse was calling him Your Highness in bed.
Lastly, the only parents mentioned until the epilogue were Maya’s. But then Maya & Thalen were rushing to get Jesse to tell his parents, but Maya said “you’ve gotta tell Mom and Dad”. Whose, hers or his? They’re cousins, not siblings. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this one.
Edit update: The cover is deceiving! Thalen had no wings! Big disappointment!
After Millennia alone because of his wild Magic, Thelen can actually be touched by Jesse. he sets out to explore every way one human can touch another.
turns out, that's a lot of touching.

Cute story with a happy ever after theme. Fairy’s Forbidden Touch , has a sweet storyline line with a mismatched couple that just works. Thalen and Jesse are adorable , but not in an overly in your face way.
The first one was "magically acceptable" non-concent and this one is...sex sex sex then overnight love with bullying a relationship into fae politics. Neither healthy romance.
Very cute! Only weird point was Jesse's cousin, Maya, kept asking about Thalen meeting "our parents," which makes it sound like they are siblings when they are cousins. But I'm choosing to believe she is talking about both sets of parents, his and hers.
Lovely tale of a Fae prince, Thalen, who cannot be touched by humans. Except, Jesse, a barista who sleeps on his cousins couch, can touch him. As the two
I loved this book. 5 stars for rating, 2.5 for spice. It was a quick read but really sweet. While I would have liked more depth, I think it did pretty well for how short a book it was.
AI slop and directly stolen from Sera Bishop’s book, fairies never fall. Callie Colby is just an opportunistic plagiarist using AI to better help them steal from REAL authors.
