This one, unlike book 1, managed to stick the landing, thus the 5 stars. Book 1 was good until the end where there was a major exposition dump, but the author has progressed since then and this one ends on a standard semi-cliffhanger.
Lots of sex, no surprise, but there is plenty of story, good character development, and some interesting relationship dynamics. It was a bit of a wait for this one, so I hope book 3 comes along quicker, as I am actually invested in the story now.

I like this authors writing. Yes there is a lot of sex in the books but there is also a story and the sex makes sense in the context of the story. Jay has his breeder class and now needs to go to the big town to register. First time away from home, trying to figure out how his class works and what he needs to do in order to succeed. Overall this is a good book with a little bit of everything. I am looking forward to the next one.

For the most part I thoroughly enjoyed this. Overall it was a worthy sequel to the first book. It still needs another round of editing, but it's better than the first. It's also quite a bit longer which I really like. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the ending. I didn't like it for more than one reason, not the least of which is the major cliffhanger. I have no problem with books leaving you with a reason to pick up the next one, but I dislike massive cliffhangers, especially when the writer is likely to take years before the next book comes out. It took Oliver 2 years to write this book, so it seems like a safe assumption it'll be at least that long for the next one.

I was a huge fan of the first book and this did not disappoint. I thought that that writing was very good, the plot made sense, and the love interests were likeable. I'm looking forward to the next book!

wow!!!
I loved the 1st book… and while I had hope the 2nd book would be good as well I had no idea!!! It’s even better than the 1st!!! Way better!!! I can not wait for book number 3!!! I know this book has only been out for 2 days but dam!!!

Very good book
This is a fine fantasy harem adventure novel. It is well written and edited. I especially like Zoe. I anxiously await the sequel.

Worth the Wait
Very good continuation from the first. Lots of good character growth. He'll of a place to leave us hanging. Can't wait for book 3. Just hope it's not too long....LOL!

OMG Just absolutely awesome ! Anxiously waiting on next book!
Jay and his “Blues” struggle and make headway as Jay moves forward as the NewBreeder. Hearts grow and lives evolve. Sadly one of their own is severely injured in an ambush and this look bleak. Leading up to this cliffhanger is an awesome developed story with fantastic characters, storytelling and humor and compassion as well as passion. An awesome read!

Outstanding
Quickly becoming a favourite authors and series. This second book is really exceptional, incredibly griping and entertaining. I found it difficult to put down. Looking forward to seeing the next one.

Decent story, way too much filler
So the story itself is interesting, but there is so much random filler it suffers. It takes way too long to get to something interesting. There were quite a few times, especially early, when I thought about dropping the book. Things got fairly interesting in the last like 15% of the book, but before that was a struggle.
The relationships are interesting and good, but it seems focus is being shown on inconsequential ones. Like the “first time” thing with Sarah, she’s a one and done character so no one cares. Taylor, Rebecca’s daughter, definitely seems like she will be important but the scene with her was a fade to black oh we did this three times over the night. It was extremely disappointing. I hope the author lessens the filler and spends more time on important things instead of the random stuff, otherwise might have to drop this series.
Not even going to touch the genetic stupidity of 16 breeders for so many people over centuries, even with random locals, the genetic diversity wouldn’t work and inbreeding would be rampant. Worse for the locals who don’t have a detector strip.

The story is okay.
I hate that the MC is really having all the decisions made for him by other characters. It feels like he is taking a backseat to everything that's happening around him, and everything he does is reactionary. I'm hoping in the next book, we start to see a stronger Mc that's not just mopping around half the time.

Just awesome!
The first book was a fun cozy read. This book expanded on that exponentially. The story and world expanded tenfold. The amount of character growth and the quality of the writing also went through the roof. I am honestly impressed at how quickly I well in love with the cast. I can’t wait for the next.

Fantastic!
I really enjoyed this book. Things are starting to really heat up. Now mind you, there is still a lot of nookie but there is a plot and character development that I've enjoyed. Can't wait for the next one.

Fantastic follow up to book 1
Book 1 was excellent and often following books fall short. Not here though. An excellent book, well paced and well edited, which is oft an issue with this genre.

The first hour and 17 minutes is unnecessarily boring 😴 but its get better hoping the author doesn't make it boring off and on plus this series is nothing but the life of a male hooker lol
