A mysterious death. A magical dreamscape. A wedding she can't afford to miss.
When Kat Crowe returns home to find a dead witch on her living room floor clutching her aunt's dream walker's teacup, her carefully balanced life shatters once again. The victim, Minerva Flagstaff, is a potions witch Kat barely knew. But Kat knows that something isn't right about this murder, especially when her dreams begin pulling her into a misty gray void where Minerva's consciousness still lingers.
As if supernatural dreams weren't enough, Kat now faces explaining the magical world to her ex-boyfriend Travis, who's determined to help despite their complicated past. With her cousin Marissa's wedding fast approaching in Arkansas, the clock is ticking on solving this mystery before she's due to board her flight.

Another enjoyable read about our American witch, Kat, living in Victoria, Australia. She’s desperate to get to her cousin’s wedding in a couple of weeks. One day she gets home from work to find the door open & a dead woman in her living room. A witch she’d met once over the death of her Great Aunt. This woman lived miles away, so how did she get to the house & how did she know about the artefact she was holding, the dream-walker’s cup which was hidden away. The local police have to be involved, but so does the witch police! Then Gus remembers a case where one of the people back a few centuries had been in a deep dream/coma for ages. Is this what has happened here. It seems so as Kat keeps on getting pulled into bad dreams. Meanwhile, things with Travis which have been cold, start to get better as he’s there when she badly needs help. All gets sorted, in an amazing story + a frantic dash to the airport, made more worrying as she forgot her bridesmaid’s dress & had to get her neighbour to get it & meet her on the highway!
This is the second book I’ve finished in the last couple of days that is the concluding book, and I’m feeling a little emotional. In this, Kat finds a dead body in her house, and Travis is making a small comeback in her life to help. I felt so much for Kat in this one as she is sad about her relationship with Travis being over, and he’s in her life again but not as a boyfriend. She deals with so much in this one, and I feel so sad about everything. However, by the end, I was so happy for her, and I am so sad we won’t get any more of her adventures. A great wrap-up to the series, and I quite enjoyed the book and series. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
Kat hasn't had an easy breakup with Travis but they have to decide how to interact in a small town. Things don't get any easier when there's (you guessed it) another body in her house. She needs his help but he's still freaked out by the M-word. The whole gang's here to figure out what's going on and sort things out so she can make it to the wedding of the millenium back in the States. Various characters and relationships are resolved, and there seems to be a loose end or two that might end up as a new series. I hope so, I love the world-building here.
Very sad that this is the last book in the series. I have loved every adventure. I received this as an advanced read and am voluntarily leaving a review. Kat finds herself in a mystery finding a dead witch with an artifact, the teacup, that was hidden. She knew she'd need to get the witch police involved. Her ex Travis come back into the picture as she goes back home. He aids in helping. Great book, love the characters, and cried a bit knowing this was the last of the series.
I am a bit sad that this is the final Kat book because I have enjoyed the series. This one meandered around for most of the time (and that is OK) and then gathered speed and galloped to an exciting end. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I don’t know how Kat is keeping up with everything going on in her life. At this point she probably will be recruited by the Inquisition. I can’t fathom the fear she dealt with trying to fix all that happened. I really loved the ending of the book…gave all the feels. I can’t wait for whatever is next!
Another amazing story, Kat is absolutely my favourite. Returning home to find a dead person in her living room isn’t what she expected. Who committed this crime and why appears to be harder to solve than expected. Don’t miss out on staying up and enjoying this book.
