Healthy and non-abusive relationships are pretty hard to find in yaoi mangas. So I definitely was surprisingly how amazing and healthy Aki and Tomoharu's relationship turned out to be. I really enjoyed this volume. This couple not only made me laugh but also had me in tears. They are so perfect! My absolute favourite. I'm rooting for them. If you live action packed, cute, heart warming and forbidden shounen-ai, this series is perfect for you. Highly highly recommended.

It's sweet, heart-racing, sexy! Kaboom ✨
I'm back after months to read Vol 3 of this long manga series. Loved more of Aki, Ueda & the chaotic side characters lol 😍😂. I did read this so it'll become my 10th story of Jan, but I did have fun!

Aki is our beloved, short-tempered but sweet mobster, Ueda is our calm, cool, protective policeman! They've been boyfriends for 6 months, yay! Vol 3 had only 1 chapter, but with 4 long parts so I'm cool heh. Also, sweet they're both Bi!

The story has a kidnapping 😳, FINALLY Aki's mom comes into play 😏 (Aki is soo like her!), Omfg an accident?! 😟 Plus, jealousy from old pics 😂. This was quite the ride that I read in night, hot & emotional. Also, Ueda+Aki are so obvious, I feel like Ueda's senior kinda knows but maybe 🤷. Cute <3

People are always scared to know their lover’s parents, and Aki’s mother is just as fierce as his son. Gotouda Miyavi is also the headmaster of her own yakuza group and she kidnaps Tomoharu just so she can see who this man is, if he can handle Aki like no other person ever has.

So, Tomoharu, the weird yet easy-going police man he is, kind of proves himself to the lady and her subordinates. Tomoharu is strong in many ways, kind and respectful, and while others might not see how they can be together, he changes their minds by showing how much he truly loves Aki.

They are crazy over each other and no one can question that, not even the two yakuza groups and all the people that know them. That’s what I love about them from the very beginning: just how real and wholesome their love feels.

Yes, this is a romantic comedy between two people who are complete opposites, yet they work their relationship so well, you can’t help but to want what they have. I think we all crave a love that it’s unconditional and which can show us the best version of ourselves.

In this volume we explore past relationships, the meaning of a shared life and of course, all the perks of dating a wild beast like Aki.

Once again, I would totally recommend you to read it along with the CD Drama because the full cast really makes this story come alive! Can’t wait to read the next one!

Je continue l’aventure Like the Beast avec ce troisième où l’on fait la rencontre de la mère d’Aki, qui n’y va pas par quatre chemins : elle kidnappe Ueda et lui demande d’intégrer le clan !!! Mais Ueda est incorruptible. Je prends toujours autant de plaisir à lire ces histoires et je m’en vais lire le tome suivant.

This manga is literally the best!!! I love how it's just a love story, no stupid angst, no man pride getting in the way, just a cute AF couple, going super cute things together! I want a boyfriend just like Ueda!!!

What a bright, pleasant series - plenty of laughs, a touch of drama, and a couple - Aki and Tomoharu (Ueda) - who are totally in love with each other. It’s one of those works that’s not just a distraction but something, at least in my case, I really look forward to.

In this volume, we get to know a little more about Aki’s past, a part of which comes to bother Tomoharu (Ueda). In the second half, we meet Tomoharu’s little brother, Natsuki, who is just as adorable as his older brother. Natsuki and Aki start to clash, but we get a glimpse of Tomoharu’s past in the process.

Even though the artwork straddles the realism/cartoon divide - falling more on the cartoon side of the continuum - it suits the story and characters, and ends up conveying a “real” sense of their attachment and deep affection for each other. Some of the facial expressions are drawn with a skilled nuance that takes the quality of this manga up a notch.

Well done series created by a hand that clearly knows what it’s about.

Després de llegir Toritan: Birds of a Feather, Vol. 1 i お参りですよ Omairi desu yo volia provar amb una altra sèrie llargueta de la mangaka. Clarament les seves il·lustracions són una monada amb grans dosis d'erotisme, així com els personatges tan estereotipats que fa són adorables i molt carismàtics, però es nota que són històries serialitzades en molts volums. La trama avança gràcies a conflictes que són un clixé i sovint sembla que s'està allargant el xiclet sense arribar a enlloc, com un serial de tarda de TV3 ^^' En aquest cas, però, es percep més sensació de progrés perquè hi ha més personatges secundaris i tots tenen un arc narratiu en la trama principal. Molt amena i cuqui, amb unes parelles TOP, però de vegades un pèl monòtona ♥

Of çok güzel bir ciltti yine. Abartıya kaçmadan yaoi hikaye yazan cidden romantizmi hissettiren nadir yazarlardan Yamamoto Kotetsuko ablamız.

We meet Aki's mother, who's the cutest badass woman in BL manga.

I like how no matter which group we're talking about, they all are Aki's fans. And how the heads of the groups want Ueda to join them. LOL.

Περνώντας στο 3ο τόμο της σειράς, ερχόμαστε αντιμέτωποι με την μαμά του Aki. Περιέργως, όπως και ο μπαμπάς, δεν τραβάει κανένα ζόρι που ο γιος της έχει δεσμό, και μάλιστα σοβαρό, με έναν άλλον άντρα, αλλά την ενοχλεί απίστευτα το γεγονός ότι είναι μπάτσος. Έτσι, αποφασίζει να απαγάγει τον Ueda, προκειμένου να έχει μια κουβεντούλα μαζί του, επιχειρώντας να τον φέρει με τα νερά της και να τον πείσει να γίνει μέλος της μαφίας. Φυσικά, ο Aki γίνεται έξαλλος, και προσπαθεί με την σειρά του να πάρει τον Ueda πίσω, πράγμα που δεν αποδεικνύεται εύκολη υπόθεση. Η μητέρα του είναι αποφασισμένη και αυτό έχει ως αποτέλεσμα, ο Ueda να βρίσκεται στο στόμα του λύκου, αφού όλα τα μέλη της μαφιόζικης οικογένειας θέλουν να τον ξεκάνουν, που τόλμησε να τους "κλέψει" τον Aki. Είναι περιττό ν' αναφέρω πως από τα γέλια που έκανα, πρέπει να με άκουσε όλο το τετράγωνο. Μπορεί η κατάσταση να είναι κρίσιμη, αλλά ο Aki και η οικογένειά του με ξεπερνάνε, χαρίζοντάς μου άπειρες στιγμές γέλιου και διασκέδασης. Το γεγονός δε πως αποδέχονται την σχέση του ως επιλογή, αλλά ενοχλούνται που ο Ueda δεν δελεάζεται από τις προτάσεις και προσφορές τους, είναι εκτός από παράξενο, άκρως κωμικό. Βέβαια, όλο αυτό λειτουργεί ιδιαίτερα θετικά ως προς την σκιαγράφηση του χαρακτήρα του Ueda που δεν φαίνεται να επηρεάζεται απ' όλα αυτά αλλά αντίθετα, βρίσκει συνεχώς νέους τρόπους να μας δείχνει πόσο αγαπάει τον Aki, γεγονός εξαιρετικά χαριτωμένο. Κι επειδή στον προηγούμενο τεύχος είδαμε τον Ueda να ζηλεύει το παρελθόν του Aki, είναι η σειρά του δεύτερου να αναμετρηθεί με το διαβολάκι της ζήλιας, όταν καλείται να αντιμετωπίσει το παρελθόν του συντρόφου του που, κακά τα ψέματα, δεν είναι και τόσο έντονο. Παρ' όλα ταύτα, λίγο έως πολύ, όλοι μας έτσι γινόμαστε όταν σκεφτόμαστε πως ο σύντροφός μας έχει "ιστορία" πίσω του, που δεν περιλαμβάνει εμάς, αλλά πρέπει να το αποδεχτούμε και να προχωρήσουμε. Άλλωστε, όλα έχουν να κάνουν με τις επιλογές μας και το πως τις διαχειριζόμαστε. Όσον αφορά το σχέδιο, σαφέστατα και παρατηρούμε βελτίωση, κάτι που συμβαίνει τις περισσότερες φορές στα manga, ειδικά αυτού του είδους, όσο το story προχωρά και εξελίσσεται. Εκτός όλων αυτών, απολαμβάνουμε αρκετές καυτές στιγμές, τις οποίες φαίνεται να απολαμβάνει και η ίδια η mangaka, οι οποίες ωστόσο έχουν το δικό της προσωπικό, κωμικό στοιχείο, που τόσο απολαμβάνουμε.

Aki and Tomoharu are as in love as ever! Tomoharu is kidnapped by Aki's mum and she reminds me so much of her son, they have the same personalities. Aki is a Yakuza thoroughbred as both his parents are Yakuza heads. Tomoharu can't catch a break and takes some hits. All the Yakuza underlings are besotted with, Aki. I love this series and seeing what happens to them next because you never know with, Aki.

I've really come to like this series. The art is lovely and it just feels more like a shoujo manga than a real shounen Yaoi to me. And Aki an Useda are both so cute and cool :)
I really liked the jakuza dorm part in this volume! Hope we will get to see more of both families again. Tomoharu's head condition still worries me though, I'm sure a head concussion wouldn't come as a surprise...;p
