Glimmer and Burn: Unity Series Book One

Rate this book
Miranda wants to save her sister.
Devin wants revenge.
Neither of them wants to admit that they want each other.

Devin Drake hates one person more than himself, and that man is about to marry Miranda Wilde’s sister. They'll have to work together if they want to stop Yarrow Graves, a Night Fae who has the entire city wrapped around his finger. Surely, they can stop bickering long enough to keep her sister safe.

Miranda is only tolerating Devin to save her sister. She's a guardian, a human gifted with Divine's blood and has trained her entire life for combat during a time of peace. Saving her sister is her last chance to use those skills before she’s expected to set aside her sword for matrimony where her only use will be to host parties and raise children. In other words, hell. Yet as she navigates the world beyond her own backyard for the first time, Devin shows her that life can be more than ballrooms and that pleasure could be hers for the taking, if she’s brave enough to make the leap.

Devin doesn’t need anyone or anything since being neglected by both sides of his heritage. The Night Fae despise him almost as much as his human father had, and as far as he's concerned both can go to hell. He certainly doesn't need the combative and sharp-tongued Miranda tempting him to lower his defenses—her lips are temptation enough. But as he spends time with Miranda, she awakens something far worse than lust. Hope. He knows it’s foolish to crave her acceptance when his own father cast him aside, but a part of him can’t help pining for a life he never thought possible.

A Regency inspired, steamy fantasy romance full of action, banter, and sexy fight scenes.

When Fantasy Romance Gets Everything Right 💫

Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (5/5 stars)

Genre:
Fantasy Romance

Tropes:
Enemies to Lovers, Fated Mates, Forbidden Love, Strong FMC, Regency Flair

Sometimes you pick up a novel and immediately know you've discovered something special. That's exactly what happened with Luci Briar's "Glimmer and Burn," a fantasy romance that combines everything I love about the genre into one absolutely addictive package.

The World & Characters:

Set in Unity, a city where supernatural beings coexist after a devastating war, this world feels both familiar and refreshingly original. Miranda Wilde is a guardian with Divine blood, trained for combat but expected to trade her sword for marriage. Her frustration with societal constraints feels genuine and relatable, making her journey toward self discovery all the more compelling.

Devin Drake, might just be my new "book boyfriend😍." His mixed Night Fae heritage creates fascinating internal conflict, and his role as a war veteran haunted by loss adds emotional depth that goes beyond typical fantasy hero trauma. The way Briar writes his struggle between cynicism and hope is absolutely beautiful.

The Romance:

The enemies-to-lovers progression here is absolutely perfect. Miranda and Devin's initial antagonism feels authentic rather than forced, and watching them slowly lower their defenses while maintaining their sharp edges creates incredible tension. Their banter is witty without being cutesy, and the emotional vulnerability feels earned.

The spice level is adult and well integrated into the emotional arc. When these two finally give in to their attraction, it's explosive and meaningful, exactly what enemies-to-lovers should deliver 🔥.

Plot & Pacing:

The central mission to save Miranda's sister from the manipulative Night Fae "YARROW GRAVES"
provides excellent structure. I love how Briar uses this external threat to force character growth while never letting the romance take a backseat. The action sequences are dynamic and well choreographed, and the political intrigue adds layers without becoming overly complex.

What Made This Special:

- Character agency: Both protagonists make choices that feel true to their personalities
-
World-building depth:
Unity feels lived-in and fully realized
-
Emotional authenticity:
The trauma and growth feel genuine

Suppoǰrting cast: Secondary characters have distinct voices and purposes

Series potential: Sets up future books feeling incomplete

Minor Quibbles:

Honestly? I'm struggling to find anything to critique here. If I'm being incredibly nitpicky, I suppose I wanted even more time exploring Unity's diverse supernatural population, but that speaks more to the strength of Briar's world-building than any weakness in the story.

Compmm Titles & Recommendations:

Perfect for fans of Jennifer L. Armentrout's "From Blood and Ash" series, Elise Kova's "Air Awakens," or anyone who loved the enemies-to-lovers dynamic in "Hunt on Dark Waters" by Katee Robert. If you enjoy fantasy romance with strong heroines, morally complex heroes, and richly developed magical systems, this should definitely be on your TBR.

Final Thoughts:

"Glimmer and Burn" showcases Luci Briar as a fantasy romance author destined for greatness. This novel demonstrates exceptional character development, masterful world-building, and romantic chemistry that absolutely blazes off the page. I'm already marking my calendar for the next Unity installment because I need more of this world immediately.

This is the kind of book that reminds me why I fell in love with fantasy romance in the first place and sets a new bar for what the genre can achieve. Absolutely essential reading for anyone who loves the genre.

Thank you to Luci Briar and VoraciousReaders for the gifted copy of this book. I was happy to leave my honest opinion. ✨ WOO HOO

Glimmer and Burn is book one in the Unity series and is the story of Miranda and Devin. This is an enemies to lovers, regency inspired romantasy.

Miranda wants to save her sister from an arranged marriage to a horrible man who has hurt Miranda in the past, Yarrow Graves. In her world of prim and proper ladies, Miranda is a Guardian, trained for a time and wars that no longer exist. She wants more than to be a wife and mother, she longs to live up to her training and to save her sister, she will have to use her skills to stop the man intent on marrying her sister. When the opportunity for leverage is presented, Miranda meets Devin, devilish rogue who wants the information Miranda is seeking.

Devin is a half breed, half human, half Night Fae and accepted by neither race. Having fought in the fae war for a bed to sleep in and food to eat, he knows the horrors of wars and the coward who destroyed his life and those of his comrades, Yarrow Graves. Devin has built a life for himself of solitude and running his club in the Fells but when the opportunity to get revenge on Graves walks into his club, he did not think it would come as Miranda.

Working together to destroy their common enemy, Devin and Miranda must untangle the web of Graves atrocities to save Miranda's sister and maybe even more innocent lives than they realized. As Miranda and Devin work together, Devin's roguish ways begin to grow on Miranda and Devin promises her that their is more to life than what she was raised to be. Too late, Devin realizes that Miranda has awakened something in him that is far worse than lust but could she ever accept him when even his own father cast him aside?

This story is a regency inspired romantasy with strong characters that are written well with emotional depth and a longing for one another that is quick to ignite but slow to burn. The storyline was unique in the blending of romance, fantasy, politics and social status elements that came together well. It was sad to see the class system bias and even racial bias amongst the different types of creatures in Unity but the way that Miranda accepted Devin as a person and not on which social class he belonged to or how his parentage could have affected her and their life together was beautiful. Miranda had to confront her parents and their beliefs but they were able to see Miranda's love and devotion to Devin and that her happiness was what was important. The banter between Miranda and Devin made for more feelings to be able to develop and that they were able to lean on one another and build a foundation for their future together.

If you like a little fantasy with your romance, slow burn spice, a great storyline with strong characters that are able to look inside themselves and deal with the past to build a future, then this is absolutely the book for you.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Miranda and Devin both have one goal in mind…to bring down graves. Miranda doesn’t want him to marry her sister because he is not what everyone thinks. Devin has a past with him and knows the true whimp graves is. Along the way the Miranda and Devin go from being enemies to lovers. There is some spice, lots of fighting, and a HEA. I am happy I received this ARC.

Beautiful fantasy romance. The pace of world and relationship building was perfect and I fell in love with Miranda and Devin. I wasn't able to guess the ending right away, there were several directions it could have gone, and I loved to hate the bad guy!

This book is definitely worth the read! I can’t wait to read more books from this author. I loved the dynamic between the FMC and MMC and seeing how she helps him grow to accept who he is. I’ve seen this trope before but not enough and wish more books had it!

I really enjoyed the vibes of this one. Miranda is a badass as a fighter and guardian and knows it. It's interesting how confident she is in a fight compared to how anxious she seems in social situations. Devin is an interesting character drowning his problems and self hate until he finds Miranda and wants to be better for her. The main villain is kinda forgettable and generic.

I thought the real main villain was the societal standards Miranda and Devin thought they were being forced into. As a half fae - half human Devin feels like an outsider and people shun him. Miranda as a daughter of an aristocrat feels pressured to be the perfect lady even though she's a kick ass guardian warrior.

I received and ARC of this information exchange for an honest review.

All Miranda wants to do is save her sister.
All Devin wants is to seek his revenge.
Neither Miranda nor Devin wants to admit that they want one another.

There is only one man in the world that Devin Drake hates more than himself, and that man is about to marry Miranda Wild's sister. Now, Devin and Miranda find that they have to work together to stop Yarrow Graves, a Night Fae who just happens to have the entire city wrapped around his little finger. That is, if they can stop fighting and bickering long enough to keep Miranda's sister safe and out of Yarrow's hands.

The only reason Miranda is tolerating Devin is for her sister's sake. Miranda is a guardian, she's a human who has been gifted with Divine blood and has been trained her entire life for combat during a time of peace. In saving her sister, it's her last chance to use those skills before she is expected to set all those skills aside and get married. Then the only skills will be to host parties and raise her children. For Miranda, that's just a living hell. And yet, she navigates a world beyond her backyard for the first time. And Devin starts to show her that life can be more than just ballrooms and all of this could be Miranda's for the taking. She just has to be brave enough to take the chance and make the leap of faith.

Having been neglected by both sides of his heritage, Devin doesn't need anyone or anything. He knows that the Night Fae despise him just as much as his human father did. And as far as Devin is concerned the lot can just piss off. And he certainly doesn't need the pain in the ass sharp-tongued combative Miranda tempting him day in and day out. And all she does is try to lower his defences – just her lips are a temptation enough for him. But, the more time that he spends with Miranda, he realizes that she's awakening something far worse than lust. She's giving him Hope. And he knows without a doubt that he's being foolish to crave her acceptance, especially after his father cast him out, but there's this part of him that just can't help it, he wants a life that he never thought was ever possible.

This is a Regency-inspired, spicy fantasy romance that is packed full of action, with banter, and lots of sexy fight scenes.

YOU'RE MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS!!! Please read and consider the trigger warnings before you read this book. There is content and scenes in this book that could be unsuitable or triggering for some readers. Please remember that your mental health always comes first.

Tropes: Enemies to Lovers, Fates Mates, Forbidden Love, Bad-Ass FMC, Fae Magic, Regency Flair, and Main Characters Who are Total Opposites.

Glimmer and Burn is the 1st book in The Unity series by Luci Briar. This is Luci Briar's debut novel and I have to say that from the very beginning, it just pulled me in and swept me away to another world in all the right ways. This novel has all the right content, it has fae magic, Regency flair, and our FMC and MMC are total opposites and yet they fit perfectly together.

I found Miranda to be fierce and fearless with her blade and yet when you put her into a high-society event and suddenly she's this uncertain girl who's not sure what to do with herself.

Then there's Devin. He's a broody half-fae who's been an outcast and he's drowning in his own self-doubt. But, Miranda makes him long to be a better man, a better person.

And as we watch their journey together, we realize that this book is not only about fighting the external enemies like Yarrow. More than that, it's about fighting all the quiet lies that they've both been told their entire lives and they believe about themselves, and changing those lives and changing the way they look at themselves.

I found that the villain of this story didn't really leave a lasting impression on me. I felt like the real villain of this story is society and sociatial expectations. Expectations of society, the way that society judges you, and the way that Devin and Miranda have always been made to feel like they don't belong in this society and they are always being judged. And I just loved the way that they pushed back against those expectations. And for me, that's truly magical and that's truly an inspirational story that is worth telling.

Yes, this is a romance, there's rebellion against society's expectations, and this is a beautiful fast-paced read that perfectly blends action with all the emotional depth that you want and long for.

If you are the kind of reader who loves reluctant allies, broody fae MMC, a kick-ass sword-wielding FMC, court drama that actually has heart, society rebellion then this is the book that you have been looking for.

This is the kind of book that I can't help but recommend. It is so well written, the characters are well written, and I love that the real villain of this story isn't Yarrow it is the expectations of society.

Luci Briar has done a phenomenal job in writing this book and it is hard to believe that this is her debut novel. I look forward to reading the next book in this series and I can't wait to see what else she writes in the future.

Glimmer and Burn is the type of story I fell for most, deep, yearning romance (with some incredibly hot scenes) with action and adventure.

Miss Miranda Wilde and Lord Devin Drake are after the same thing: vengeance upon a man who wronged Devin, and who’s about to marry Miranda’s sister to further his nefarious scheme. The princess of the high society and the devilishly handsome rogue couldn’t look more different to each other on the surface, but underneath, they’re yearning for the same thing—to be accepted for who they truly are.

By working together, they not only discover they might just be what they both need but also get into some highly entertaining, highly dramatic scrapes as they try to untangle a dangerous magical conspiracy.

And yes, did I say—there’s magic in this? The story is a blend of fantasy and historical romance, with grounded, but intricate and highly imaginative world-building that not only perfectly supports the plot, but plays into the characters’ backstories, as well. My favorite detail might be that Devin can see the emotional auras of people—including a thread woven between those who truly love each other. Your guess as to how and when that comes into play 😉

Overall, Glimmer and Burn is a smashing start to the Unity series. The characters are real and layered, and the romance is scorchingly hot, but still wonderfully and earnestly fleshed out. You won’t be able to stop reading it—and you won’t be able to stop after only one book!

This one swept me up in all the right ways. It’s got fae magic, Regency flair, and two main characters who are total opposites—but somehow fit together just right.

Miranda is fierce and fearless with a blade, but give her a high-society event and she’s suddenly unsure of herself. Devin? He’s the broody half-fae outcast drowning in self-doubt, but something about Miranda makes him want to be better. Their journey together is as much about fighting external enemies as it is about battling the quiet lies they’ve believed about themselves.

Honestly? The big bad villain didn’t leave a lasting impression. But the real antagonist here felt more like society itself—the expectations, the judgment, the way both Miranda and Devin have been made to feel like they don’t belong. And watching them push back against that? That’s the kind of magic I love.

A romantic, slightly rebellious, and fast-paced read that blends action with emotional depth in all the best ways. ✨

💫 If you love reluctant allies, broody fae boys, sword-wielding women, and court drama with heart—this one’s for you!

This book is a captivating read that pulls you in from the very beginning and refuses to let go. I found myself completely invested in the main characters, Devin and Mira. Their chemistry shines on the page—their banter is witty, their moments together are both funny and spicy, and their emotional connection grows in a way that feels natural and deeply satisfying.

What stood out most was the balance between their personalities. Devin and Mira support and challenge each other in equal measure, making their relationship feel authentic and well-rounded. The slow build of their bond was particularly enjoyable, as it allowed the tension and affection between them to unfold at just the right pace.

The plot moves quickly without ever feeling rushed, and the characters are written with enough depth to keep readers engaged throughout. I truly couldn’t put this book down—it held my attention from start to finish.

A must-read for fans of character-driven romance with sharp dialogue, sizzling chemistry, and a relationship that makes you root for love every step of the way.

This book!!! 😍 4.5 I was swept up into this world of magic and revenge and just devoured this book. I swooned. I laughed, I wanted the romance to work. It had all the feels!

Miranda and Devin’s enemies to lovers romance built up and they became such a top tier couple. The character development was spot on - the pining, yearning and the respect they had for each other. I loved the consent, I loved the tension. I also loved the banter and humour. Some reviewers have stated that the villain wasn’t really developed etc but I actually liked that the story was more about Miranda and Devin. I was invested for sure.

I enjoyed it until towards the end with all the action and then so much was happening that I felt it ended up being like an over the top action movie I really had to tell myself to just push through. That’s why I gave it a 4.5 Otherwise it would’ve been a 5.

Thank you for the ARC. I can’t wait for Book 2!

Glimmer and Burn by Luci Briar completely swept me away! Miranda and Devin are the most unlikely pair—a guardian sworn to protect and a club owner navigating his own dangerous world—but they share the same hopes for the future, and that made their connection so real and heartfelt. Their chemistry? Absolutely electric! Sweet in all the right moments, but laced with just enough revenge to keep you on the edge of your seat.

The world-building is phenomenal. I loved the concept of all these different fantasy creatures trying to coexist in unity—it’s such a fresh and fascinating take. And the guardian concept? So intriguing! I’m dying to dive even deeper into that lore.

This book has everything I crave in a fantasy romance—rich world-building, compelling characters, tension, chemistry, and a storyline that hooks you from the very first page. I cannot wait to see where Luci Briar takes us next! I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

This book was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the regency setting. It's been so long since I read a book with this kind of vibe. The writing is phenomenal. The author really grabs you with their descriptions of certain scenes. There was one scene, I swore was written in slow motion. That's how as accurately I could see the main characters carry it out
Miranda, the FMC, is a strong character physically but is naive in the ways of interacting with the opposite sex. Devin, the MMC, is attractive and knows his pull sexually, but lacks confidence in what he can offer in other ways. He is half human and half fae and has never been accepted in either world so he struggles to understand his worth as as person. It's a story of personal understanding and love. It's excellent and a must read.

I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

This book pulled me in from page one. I love when a fantasy romance gives me both plot and emotion, and this one delivered. The worldbuilding felt rich without being overwhelming, and the tension between the characters was chef’s kiss. Miranda is strong and determined but still human in her struggles, and Devin… let’s just say he’s the perfect mix of broody, conflicted, and soft when it counts. Their chemistry? Off the charts.
I was completely hooked on the push and pull between them, I love good scheme and romance ! The writing itself was just so immersive. You can tell Luci Briar put a lot of care into both the world and the emotional journey. It’s beautifully written, fast-paced, and honestly had everything I love in a fantasy romance- danger, banter, heartbreak, and heat. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to read more from this author!

Glimmer and Burn delivers an intoxicating blend of Regency elegance, sharp-edged fantasy, and a romance that sparks like flint in the dark. Miranda’s desperate determination to save her sister and Devin’s aching need for revenge make them an irresistible pairing, two wounded souls pushed together by circumstance and undone by slow-burning temptation. The worldbuilding shines with its Night Fae intrigue and glittering danger, and the banter is as sharp as Miranda’s blade. Their chemistry is electric, especially as they clash, train, and unravel each other’s defenses in equal measure. Though the story touches on heavy themes and doesn’t shy away from violence, it balances that darkness with hope, found family, and a heroine discovering she’s allowed to want more than the life chosen for her. A steamy, action-packed fantasy romance that left me eager for whatever comes next.

This was a fun, fast-paced read with a blend of Bridgerton-meets-Fae energy and a great mix of action, tension, and romance. The worldbuilding was rich without dragging things down, and I loved the sharp banter between Miranda and Devin. She’s fierce and duty-driven, he’s broody and… honestly, a little sappy for my taste, but still a lovely character overall.

The chemistry was good, not overly intense, but enough to keep things interesting, and the pacing kept me turning pages. I really liked how the romantic and emotional beats balanced out the fight scenes and court intrigue.

Also, this line? Perfection:
“And if he was going to hell, he was going to make sure he thoroughly deserved it.”
10/10 quote.

This was an ARC read for me. Like any fantasy book it was a little slow in the beginning with the world building and magic system development, but picked up in the middle of the book.
This is the first in a series so I will be interested to see where it goes as it didn’t take the plot path that I had expected. The final chapter is about 10 years after the initial story so I am hoping that other books will fill in the gaps of what happened.
My main and pretty much only criticism is mild and it is how often they used the word “rogue” and “rogueish”. If I drank it would have been a deadly drinking game in the first half of the book.
Otherwise I really enjoyed the story and look forward to uncovering the rest of the story in the series.

3.75 ⭐ Unfortunately, the lack of editing/proofreading brings the rating down from a story I otherwise enjoyed. The typos, grammar and punctuation mistakes distracted me during reading and spoiled the experience. I can only hope the author will invest in that, since they have a unique writing style and an otherwise good story at hand!
I loved the world, it reminded me of Carnival Row. Both protagonists were to my liking (Devin in particular) and I rooted for them. Their relationship was kind of unhinged but in a good way, and I loved their complexity. I also appreciated that it was a finished story, in a sea of cliffhanger endings. With more polishing, this could have been among my favorites of this year.

By Luci Briar

Enemies to lovers
fated mates
Romantasy
Slow burn 🔥
She’s a badass 😉
Forbidden 😚

She wants to save her sister. He can help.
World building is amazing, I felt like I could easily picture the scenes and characters.
Character development was stunning and I absolutely loved the FMC. She was very badass and I love that she didn’t want to fall into the norm. I loved how internally emotionally they were and that the reader could feel what they felt. Astounding character progression in this book for both main characters.
I didn’t really dislike anything, I loved this story.

The ending- so cute !! 🥰

An absolutely amazing debut novel for Luci Briar. I am so excited that I was able to read this amazing romantasy.
Thank you so much for my copy and I am so EXCITED to continue on! This review is of my own opinions and thoughts 💭

This was a fun and interesting read!! I really loved Miranda and Devin. Their relationship and banter is just the cutest!! The instant attraction towards each other was super fun to read in each other's perspective.

The plot also kept me on the edge of my seat, there were secrets, an evil villain, fight scenes, daring rescues. I really loved the action parts of this book.

Miranda is definitely an FMC that does not require saving, she in fact is the one who does the saving. And I love that!!! I really loved Devin as well, he undergoes so much character growth and just trauma healing and his love and devotion towards Miranda is just lovely to see.

I absolutely loved it! The character depth and everything the book gave! Enemies to lovers and a fierce FMC! I loved that the MMC wasn’t like anyone else and “didn’t fit in with everyone because he was different. It gave him more depth and more intrigue I just ate up. I couldn’t put it down from the very first chapter. You never knew what was going to happen next. I love nothing more than not knowing and being surprised. It’s wasn’t like anything I’ve ever read before! I just remember I kept gasping. You feel all the emotions and the author made you feel like you were in the story with them. To feel emotionally connected to a book there is nothing better! Would 100% recommend! -Kerin Ray

I loved reading Glimmer and Burn. The author has created an intricate and fascinating world, with the social aspects of a Regency romance blended with an interesting magic system. Miranda and Devin are both really well developed characters, and I loved the chemistry between them. The storyline to save Miranda's sister and expose Graves as the creep he is wove flawlessly with the romance to create a story I didn't want to stop once I started reading. I highly recommend Glimmer and Burn to romantasy readers who enjoy a regency vibe.

An absolutely wonderful fantasy romance that kept me engrossed from the first page. Miranda is the daughter of a lord while the man she falls for is half human and half Night Fae. There are so many nuances in the characters that it was nearly impossible to put this book down. The world this author has created is original and utterly fascinating in the details. A very steamy read with some surprising twists in the plot and even some humor in the interactions of the main characters. I think this is a great book and I will gladly recommend it to other readers.

Loved the strong FMC - Miranda - who is willing to do whatever it takes to prevent her little sister's marriage to an evil Fae. The not-so-willing (at first) help from the half-fae MMC - Devin - who also has a vendetta against that same Fae, develops into a bond between them that grows with each step in the journey to complete their missions. A hidden threat is not making it easy!

* Strong FMC
* Spice level 4/5
* Banter
* Good character/world development

Glimmer and burn was a great book! I love the balance between action and romance. I love how detailed everything is from the plot, backstories, action scenes, smells and so much more. There was just so much attention to detail that you don’t always see in a 300 page book. Miranda and Devin have great chemistry in this book. I definitely loved the epilogue as well! I love getting to read what they’re doing years later in books! Overall great book and I would definitely recommend! I love how the author wrote the characters in such a way that the reader can see how their similarities can bring them together but the characters themselves don’t see it until later. They come up with a secret plan to get rid of an evil man who is a problem for them in different ways. It’s while carrying out their secret plan that they learn more about each other. There is an HEA. I enjoyed the book will be anxiously waiting for book 2.

-Enemies to lovers
-Fated mates??
-Forbidden love
-Badass FMC

Such a fun standalone novel! There were about 3 spicy scenes, but there was a ton of banter between the FMC and MMC. Will definitely recommend this one for those wanting to consume a shorter (<400 pages and not a series) story with a HEA!

Nothing makes you feel more alive than acceptance of your entire being.

There's way too much I enjoy about this entire book, and frankly, all of their emotions feel so palpable that it just makes my emotionally wrecked heart so happy (I'm weird, I am aware). A strong woman who still feels vulnerability without it becoming a joke, with strong scenes that highlight her badassery in all her forms. All the mystery and intrigue with a power couple—what else could you ask for?

Glimmer and Burn by Luci Briar is a fun, fast-paced fantasy romance with a strong heroine, a vivid setting, and just the right mix of heat and heart. The story blends political intrigue, emotional depth, and witty dialogue in a way that keeps the pages turning. The romance simmers before it boils over, and the chemistry between the characters feels genuine. A few pacing shifts and side characters could’ve used more time, but overall it’s a satisfying, emotional journey that balances tension and tenderness. Perfect for fans of romantic fantasy with spice and substance.

I was irritated the whole time I was reading this book and I just couldn't take it anymore so I dropped the thing. You see, I hate dragging on:s and unnecessary information which this book gave me all the time. Another red line for me is the hero. I hated him and everything he did or said. He was uncool and acted like a drunk pervert and I was not impressed by his thoughts AT ALL. So nope, I don't recommend this book to anyone.
