This book has a great deal of information about book marketing. The author however, repeats things and repeats the table of contents. It seems forced in many ways but you can pick up ideas about book reviews, SEO, and other resources.
There's a lot of good advice here. The only reason it isn't a 5 star read is that some of it has dated a little since it's publication. Overall, it's still a valuable resource.
This book is amazing and a must-read for every author. I learned so much about what I need to be doing to market my books and what I don't need to do and shouldn't do. I now have the knowledge to successfully market and publicize my books as well as the ones I'm still writing. I also have more knowledge now to better run my website and blog. I highly recommend this book to all authors and book marketers. It's very thorough and the chapters are small which enables you to get reading done even when your time is limited.
Yes, many people have one book in them. When they write and publish publish their story, probably independently, authors need a terrific resource like this book. Free books are usually short and with little information. But this one is long and has 52 helpful tips for new authors.
If you wrote your first book and want to promote it the right way you should read this guide and listen to her Podcast "Book Marketing Tips and Author Success Podcast".

Implement a tip a week and in a year you’ll have a solid foundation of marketing your book. The principles behind each tip are still solid even though some of the specifics have changed since the publication of this book.
This book was relatively short, but it offered some good advice. A lot of it was something I already knew, and some parts I wouldn't consider cost-effective, but there were a few novel ideas I intend to try.
I read Penny Sansevieri, see her on Zoom presentations when I can. I follow her on Facebook (Always entertaining) and Twitter. I'm not selling truck loads of books, but I'm working on it! I understand more than I did, next year when I reread, I think I will have learned more.
Writing a book is like giving birth to a child. It takes a long time, enormous effort, pain, sensitivity and commitment but it's really only a first step. Next comes the hard part and you're in it for the long haul. Raising a child takes 20 years but fortunately marketing and selling a book won't take nearly as long, especially if you read Penny Sansevieri's book, 52 Ways to Sell More Books. I think that this lady is a dynamo and that the hints, tips and direction she gives would help you sell ice to Eskimos. Sansevieri is well versed in traditional ways to market a book but she also teaches you how to promote it in so many innovative ways, from face to face, one on one, blogging, social media, using traditional media and making your book stand out from its competition (which she also tells you how to identify). Want to sell your book? Of course you do - you didn't write it to sit on your own bookshelf and give away to dinner guests. Follow Sansevieri's advice and you will sell your books!

This book is a useful tool any new author can use when trying to effectively sell their books. Ms. Sansevieri gives her take on new and more interesting ways to sell your books. For example Ms. Sansevieri states how instead of having book signings you should hold a book talk because book signings are old and boring and book talks will get your readers more interested and interactive with the book you are trying to market. Ms. Sansevieri also gives great advice on selling your books and how to properly publicize your books online. She mentions social networks and how they can play a key role in todays modern age in marketing your books to many different demographics. All together 52 Ways to Sell More Books by Penny C. Sansevieri is a very helpful book for any author, including novice authors just starting out, on how to properly market your book online and get more copies sold. I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
52 Ways to Sell More Books is a really great tool for people selling self published books. The advice takes on increasing sales in many different ways, which was really eye opening. I think because the author has ideas for so many different situations, like increasing sales at book signings, on your website, through media, etc, you really get a well rounded approach. Her ideas are all insightful and explained well, which I really appreciated. The advice is all really easy to follow, it looks like if you are willing to put in the work that there are a lot of great ways to help increase sales. There are a lot more venues for selling than I realized, which can be overwhelming, but this book really helps make sense of it all.
I received a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
52 ways to sell more books by Sansevieri is a wealth of knowledge. Unfortunately I had the 2012 version and a few sites were closed like Twitpic, Tweetbeep, googlekeywordtool. I wasn't impressed with Googlebooksearch who only had 2 of my books (out of 15). On the plus side I utilised Newswire and Ping and will use Ping when I'm ready to launch my next book. So as I worked my way through this lengthy book I put a few ideas into action and have taken copious notes - like 32 pages worth. Enough to keep me going for awhile.
This is a book I received in October (last year) when I won the Florida Writers Association 2014 Royal Palm Literary Award for FIRST PLACE - Biography (published). It's already dog-eared! I read it once for content, read it twice to highlight, and now I keep it on my desk as a reference. Penny offers practical and obtainable insights that inspire you to reach for your next goal.
