I moved back to my hometown and the first thing my sister does is drag me to a Halloween party. I agree to go, because I have nothing better to do. We’re waiting in line for our beers, when I spot an attractive man in the crowd. Our paths crossed later that night and sparks flew between us. Turns out, he’s the owner of the brewery. I didn’t know it at the time, though. He gave me his number, so I decide to take a chance. And I’m rewarded with the best treat of them all…



Gage

I’m partaking in some of the Halloween games at my brewery, when a gorgeous woman wearing a sexy as sin dress runs into me. Literally. She looks like she got her bell rung, so I take her back to my office to make sure she’s okay. And in the process, we set the place ablaze. After our night together, I can’t stop thinking about her. I might need a trick or two to make this treat a reality.

This novelette was previously released in a charity anthology.

I loved this book, I enjoyed the safety first aspect. The insta-relationship between Ariana and Gage with the texts between them had me smiling from ear to ear. I am glad fists didn’t start flying when their secret came out.

As long as Gage makes Ariana happy and doesn’t hurt her that’s what matters. I also loved the protective brother routine from Cisco–even if he is a lover not a fighter, it only made the story better when it happened. Stacy has me wanting to read more of her work ASAP and I will be on the lookout for more books to read, even with my TBR pile growing exponentially.

I liked how Ariana and Gage met, I believed in their connection and chemistry and liked seeing them together. Their text messaging was entertaining and I liked that they didn't shy away from their feelings, and that they were open and honest about what was between them.
