Aurora: The Journey Home

Rate this book
AD 2175. Nearly a decade after the end of the War of Ascension and the Commonwealth's retreat to Proxima Centauri, the system remains a fragile sanctuary for the remnant of their forces. The numerically superior Orion Ascendancy, still hurting from their disastrous Incursion of 2168, is wary of launching another assault, knowing that failure to secure Proxima's critical tantruminium supply will again leave their fleet stranded—But that may all be about to change.

On the fringes of the Proxima system, a secret research facility becomes the epicentre of a desperate struggle as Erlend Wilder and an unlikely crew of misfits are thrust into a high-stakes battle not only for their own survival but for that of the whole system.

The Journey Home is a space opera novella inspired by such science-fiction stories as Blake's Seven, Dark Matter, and Star Wars. Originally released in episodic serial form, this publication is the first season thereof. It is appropriate for teens and up, with only infrequent mild language. The story is written in British English.

Although fantasy features in most of the author's writing, he also has a keen passion for history (especially for his native land of England), genealogy, mythology and even political philosophy.
