When AI masters our very lives, what’s left for humanity to create?
In a future where artificial intelligence has conquered every human task, life is effortless. Wealth flows without work. Comfort is guaranteed. And creativity—once the soul of humanity—has all but vanished.
Sam lives in this flawless world, surrounded by pristine white walls and conveniences designed to anticipate his every need. Yet beneath the quiet hum of automation, a question haunts him... What does it mean to be human when there’s nothing left to strive for?
When a spark of curiosity draws Sam to Betty—a woman who dares to create in a world that no longer values creation—their defiance sets off a chain of events that will challenge the very foundation of their AI-controlled world.
Sam and Betty’s journey to rediscover creativity and purpose is moving, thought-provoking, and hauntingly relevant in our tech-driven world. The blend of storytelling and philosophical reflection will have you hooked until the very last page.

His lifelong love of learning and trying new things is what brought him to writing and putting these ideas and concepts onto paper, well e-readers.
Driven by an interest with the near future, Ken creates stories that challenge readers to question comfort, meaning, and the role struggle plays in shaping identity. His debut novel, Earned Eden, imagines a world where an all-powerful AI seeks to eliminate human suffering at the cost of something far more essential.
Ken’s writing appeals to readers who enjoy reflective and philosophical sci-fi in the tradition of Blake Crouch, Kazuo Ishiguro, Ted Chiang, and Brandon Q. Morris - stories where the science is intriguing, but the humanity is what stays with you.

I received this ebook in a Goodreads giveaway. I really enjoyed this novella . It was a quick and engaging read. While there were a few typos in the beginning that need to be corrected, the usual ones like were instead of where , it was very readable. The concept , especially at these times, of AI taking control of people’s lives, is one many think about today. Here in the Novella the main character Sam is suddenly awakened from his life of leisure by his computer when he accidentally opens up a curser while tapping on the screen aimlessly. The curser brings up a search bar and keyboard that he enters a simple question. It is with this discovery that his life and others change dramatically. While the beginning of the change happens in a wholehearted and hopeful change leading to new attitudes towards the AI and its perceived attitude towards humans,It is alleged that this was not what really was happening . The AI and the humans wanted the same thing . A peaceful and engaging existence. But what happens next is almost predictable. The fear we have is that the AI will eliminate and treat humankind as insignificant, but this is not what the author intended for his creation, it is the opposite. A thought provoking glimpse, though it was a novella it could have more towards the end , it still delivered an interesting story.

The story line and central message were great. This is a very short read for a deep topic. I wanted more with the characters and setting. That being said, if you are looking for a super fast read to ponder the meaning of life and humanity it will do just that.
