Kyle left Madison and their son, Keven, for reasons beyond his control. Now, Madison is finding herself drawn to Steve, a mysterious and charming young man.
During this, Kyle is continuing his demon hunter job and assisting Ben, a young man being pursued by demons. Kyle and Ben set out on a road trip to Madison’s hometown to locate her and her son to ensure their safety.
The unfolding narrative also reveals Ms. Jenkins' sorrowful life story and brings to light hidden secrets about Madison's life and loved ones.
However, one thing remains certain demons will never stop hunting humans....
Not as good as part one. This book really only made sense at the end. The book needs work to not feel so confusing. The time jumps all around did not clearly serve a purpose. The other characters stories were randomly placed and hardly ever made sense. Then the chapters are random too. There is no pause or breaking points when the story shifts instead we are at a wedding one second and waking up in bed the next second a day later. This makes the story hard to follow. This author has great potential. The character ideas are solid, they just need a real editor/ tutor to help them make it marketable. Indie books are tough, but this book was published before having a real edit, which will be its downfall.
Allison has done a great job with this sequel. It picks up shortly after the first book and is a very fast paced and entertaining read. She has come along way as a writer and I enjoyed this book even more than the first book in the series. If you like teen fantasy/romance/action this is a great read about demons from another dimension who hunt humans and those that protect them.
Broken promises picks up where Promises left off. So many twists and turns that will leave you reading until the very last word has been written. You fall in love with the characters even more with a few added to the mix.
The story was great but I feel the end was rushed but still love the characters and storyline. I like the storyline for the neighbor and how everything lead up to the end of the story
