IT'S ABOUT TIME

Rate this book
Sixteen-year-old Matt Cruger, like any typical teenager in 1985, has issues. On top of having to constantly struggle against the school bullies, he (slight, fragile, but strategically brilliant and open-mindedly bright as he is) also has to cope with an abusive stepfather and terrifying older sister and a dysfunctional home life with his beloved mother and compassionate half-brother. For many years, he’s always questioned his ordinary, mild-mannerismed life as being nothing but a troubled dump and dreams for the longing of leaving for the obsessive urge for bigger places and larger ideas. But the truth, he immediately discovers, is far beyond his imagination! The reason why he’s always had the uneasy feeling that he was different from everybody else both at home and at school, is HE IS DIFFERENT!!! Suddenly, Matt finds his static life taking a shakenly dangerous turn when he stumbles upon becoming targeted by ruthless law enforcement officers after being contacted and whisked away by the arrival of an unexpected Elizabeth Dawning, a rail-thin, rebellious and mysteriously beautiful Gothic spy wearing black clothing and makeup...joined by other street-wise, but slick, espionage operatives...branded as a terrorist group by sadistic government assassins. Now, as Matt’s very life is in grave danger (and with all odds mortally against him), both Elizabeth, as his attractive guide, and her top secret-agent mentor, Max Condor, as his powerful guardian, are tasked to team up and provide help for Matt with the shocking revelation’s aid of time travel...actually, a time machine, revealed to be in the received form of a sports car...and together, they imminently set out (traveling around the world, moving between different points in time, and exploring outer space) organized with additional reckless, passionate, outspoken, and beautiful special investigator companions locked in an ancient, never-ending mission to patrol and protect Earth...the past, the present, and the future...and the void between celestial bodies to prevent villainous crime bosses and their antagonistic corporations (and, at times, dark forces both throughout history and the expanse that exists beyond the Milky Way) from achieving their nightmarish goals with deadly aspirations of world domination! MEANWHILE??? At the same time that a ruthless interplanetary criminal has kidnapped a young prince, stolen valuable jewels, and taken Christopher Columbus and his famous voyage to discover America hostage? An interplanetary pirate who loves to mutate harmless animals into huge monsters and use them to terrorize the innocent has kidnapped Babe Ruth...just before he can make a much-debated moment in baseball history…and sends him through a time warp, where he’s transported to various historical eras and must survive both the past and the future in order to get home! In the process of training, along with many others like him, to become a time traveler and learning how to defeat illegal behavior against the continued sequence of existence and events (and unlawful acts against large and natural physical entities in the universe), Matt finds himself...in addition to becoming a knight, a samurai, and a pirate, faces a Tyrannosaurus Rex and joins the Underground Railroad!...caught falling into a forbidden romance with Elizabeth, while maintaining an unbreakable psychic bond with Max!
