THIS IS A RE-RELEASE!After a whirlwind rendezvous in the Dominican Republic, neither Xander nor Kelcee expected to meet again in the States. However, in a twist of fate, they bump into each other at a party, and neither can deny the attraction brewing. Despite the obvious, Kelcee knows they cannot act on their feelings.
That is, until Xander drops a bomb that leaves everyone around them mind blown. Sooner than later, they conclude that there are some decisions to be made and conversations to be had. All the while, Kelcee is safeguarding her own secret that threatens to complicate matters further.
In a perfect world, they could leave their woes behind and run off into the sunset and live happily. But that’s not possible. Xander’s revelation leaves a newfound trail of jaded enemies who won’t suffer in silence. Lines will be crossed and lives will be lost. In the end, will Kelcee still be locked in with the plug?
3.5 This book series was really good and I really enjoyed the dark elements in this story. I was so happy when Kels finally left Carter because that relationship was crazy. I feel like the reason her father didn’t like her was crazy. Xavier and Shan relationship was wild and crazy especially after the Punta Cana vacation. Xander was not playing around with Kels.
This was such a good follow up to part 1. The story continues from the employee appreciation party. There was a lot of character development for each of the main characters. The Fraiser men are everythingggg, crazy but everything! I'm a new fan of Nek Mills and I'm looking forward to reading more from her.
I really enjoyed this story. A chance encounter turned out to be more than any of them thought it would ever be. Xander was all business behind the wife he never knew he wanted and I loved fit hat for her. He didn’t even let you talk crazy about her or that was a wrap. I love how he built Kelcee up after she was never protected or cherished he made sure she knew her worth. Great story. Just enough unhinged, action, drama and romance to keep you locked in with the plug! I also loved Xavier and Shan.
I have never read a book with this many dumb main characters. The nonsense was nonstop, and the biggest culprit was Xan.
Xan stayed claiming he wasn’t dumb, but he was the very definition of it. He ignored every warning about Trish. He had perfect opportunity to eavesdrop on her phone, his brother already planted the seed, multiple people hinted at the truth about her, and he still chose stupidity. He even asked everyone to “give it to him real,” and when Zeke did exactly that, he still didn’t believe him. “If I find out there is any truth to what Zeke…” oh please, shut yo soft azz up 😭
Then the cherry on top…he swore that if he ever caught Trish cheating, “the bitch would be as good as dead.” Yet when he saw the video with his own two eyes, he let her walk. The very worse part, he let her top him off right after watching her take it in two holes. A man written as someone who burns people alive, feeds bodies to dogs, and grinds men through wood chippers should not be melting like butter for a woman who played in his face. His threats stopped hitting because his actions did not match the persona.
And to make Xan look even dumber, he kept Carter on his payroll despite knowing Carter had it out for him. So when Carter eventually crossed him, it wasn’t shocking at all. It just proved again how the author kept writing Xan as a ruthless mastermind while making him act like a careless idiot. None of it lined up.
Him begging Trish to move with him after only two years together was annoying. The author wrote their relationship like it had the depth of a decade, when it was literally just two years. That is not enough time to be that blind and that stupid over someone who has been moving funny.
Kelcie had her moments, but nobody out-dumbed Xan. Nobody.
Shan was funny at times but extremely annoying. Her entire identity was being a hoe while pretending she wasn’t one. She had Marco for three years on and off, Dre for two years on and off, was sleeping with Xavier, and still picking up new men. Her reasoning for it made no sense. Not wanting to fall in love does not mean you need to devalue yourself. She could have simply stayed single.
Xay joined his dummy ass brother when he started chasing someone whose whole personality was chaos and casual sex. Their “connection” was nothing but sex. Shan slept with him the same way she slept with everyone else, so there was nothing unique or emotional about them. They did not fall for each other, they just kept having sex until the author decided it meant love.
There were funny scenes, but overall the characters’ decisions were so ridiculous that it was hard to take any of them seriously. Xan was written like a monster but acted like a fool. Shan was messy with no real growth. Xay deserved a different love interest entirely.
The book held my attention, but the character logic was too unbelievable to rate it higher than a solid three stars.
When I tell you I did not expect them to be married in this book like d*** But let's be clear Kelcee and Zander were perfect for each other even with all the ups and Downs and obstacles a female's and Carter's b**** a** in the way they were the perfect couple. Once Shanice and Xavier got their s*** together they were wild I loved their Banter. Shanice was definitely about Help playaways just like Xavier which made them literally the perfect couple I was happy though when she finally relented Cause that man was on her a** just wanted her to give In a chance. Both my couples ended up where they absolutely should have been and I was ecstatic. The number of unalvings in this book I was okay with triggers were pulled literally. Carter and Kelsey's dad were garbage individuals and I hope that's one dive off a cliff Hurt like a b****. Tish Trish whatever her name is deserved everything she got in more it's a dog to eat dog world IYKYK... Not Reba come missing in a bag of bones later on... Kelcee tried to warn her... Though all I can say is Xander might be trigger happy but Kelcee is about that life as well when it comes to her hubby💜💜
When I say Xander stood in business behind his cocoa baby I mean just that I absolutely love that he did not let up when it came to anything regarding her. Carter was out of line and still had the nerve to be all up in her business like he wa isn't the reason their relationship didn't last. Trish was delulu too because girl how you sleeping with everything walking but can't understand that this man doesn't want you nomore. Xavier and shan were too cute too I knew from their first encounter that they were stuck with each other no matter how much she wanted to make it seem like she wasn't falling for him. I respect the fact that he knew she was his person and was putting in the effort to show her he was serious. This story was very well written and full of detail. It had just the right amount of drama but didn't overshadow the characters or their relationships I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
Book 2 picked right up from book 1 and I love that. As you dive into this finale you discover more secrets which were crazy. To discover Keith Klicee dad was already stealing from the brothers but to finally discover the reason he disliked his daughter so much was crazy. Carter was just another man wanting what he wanted knowing he was doing wrong to a good woman but refused to allow her happiness cause he did wasn't anyone to have her was crazy but she left him finally and leveled all the way up of course she did evade a choice since besides bringing a baby back from vacation but also a husband who did whatever needed to ensure his coco baby was safe and secure. After learning why Shanice fought against allowing a man to love her you could somewhat understand wish she would have expressed her feelings with her mom sooner but everything happens when it's supposed to. Once she allow love in her happiness grew.
Not me sitting here reading like I’m not supposed to be working. Haha. This one picked up right where it left off and I couldn’t be more pleased. It was straight to the point and I was fully invested in what would happen next. The audacity of Carter and Mike was almost unbelievable. Those two idiots worked my nerves right along with the thirsty women. Kelcee and Xander were so cute and I was happy once everything was put on the table. Now, Xay and Shan were definitely fated, but whew the running Shan did was amusing. I like how Xay left her alone long enough to get her mind right though. Those HEA were needed.
Now I need more on Smith & Wesson. I’m not sure why, but I do.
The second half takes us through Kelcee and Xander meeting again, and figuring out exactly what happened on their drunken night together, and how they're connected in a way they didn't know. Xavier and Shan stumble through trying to make a temporary thing permanent, and even the parents come into play.
So the second half of this was more chaotic than I think I was ready for, lol. I did love how Xander was focused on his family the whole way, how he protected Kelcee and her feelings. Kelcee had her moments of stubbornness but with her past I understood. She wasn't interested in being pacified with gifts and sitting under a man's thumb again. I did think her insistence on running off was dangerous and immature. But she realized it too, so all was well. Her father's animosity towards her seemed to escalate quickly and I was confused for a bit, and also confused as to why her mother didn't catch up sooner. Xavier and Shan were funny and then a little exhausting with their love games, but reformed players need time, I guess. Kelcee's ex lived a little too long, but I did love her and Xander and the way they took care of each other.
Locked in with the Plug Part 2 picks up right where the first book left off, delivering even more drama, passion, and unexpected twists. The characters continue to evolve, and despite their flaws, they become even more compelling as their stories unfold. The tension between the leads is electric, making it impossible not to root for them to finally be together. The author keeps you hooked with unpredictable turns that challenge the characters and keep the stakes high. Just when you think things might settle, another twist comes in, ensuring that you’ll be eagerly awaiting the next installment. This sequel doesn’t disappoint and leaves you craving more!

I feel like this author has so much potential, but the 4 books I’ve read are all sounding like the same story line. I understand these books are fiction but why make the characters so immature. Also, I wish people would understand Hispanic and Latinx isn’t a race. They’re plenty of black Colombian’s. So the part about negros taking over doesn’t make any sense because they are black Colombian’s just like they’re white and mixed race Colombian’s. So what would’ve made the most sense is just to say Americans. They’re full black people that are born in Spanish speaking countries. The boat didn’t just stop in the Colonies/US.
Worked my nerves in this book like what was Kelcee thinking running away at eight months pregnant because of something her ragged dad said about her husband like what?! Then Shanice getting mad at Xavier because he finally had enough of her running and made her leave and she overheard a conversation and just made up her mind that he was out trickin when he wasn't. Idk it was giving stupid, I enjoyed book one more but I'm glad everyone got their happily ever after.
Ok so here is my complete review after finishing the series. Again it was not what I thought but it was a new genre for me. With being said I did like the series. THE PLOT!!!!!!!! This was definitely more urban fiction series! There is a lot of detailed unaliving and less spice but I would recommend if you like unaliving books.
The MMC was crazy but he also was that guy! He went hard for those he love especially his FMC.
If you love a vacation hookup trope that leads to lovers + pregnancy + unaliving and more you will like this book.
You did your Big 1 with both books you left no stone unturned…To have your own father hate you so much that he would call you out of your name and allow your boyfriend to knowingly cheat on you because he’s being blackmailed because of he’s own infidelities is insane…They both got what they deserve…All in all in happy for Kelcee because she’s LIWTP…I’m also happy that Shanice and Xavier got it together…How about a Spin-off to give us an update on them and all the couples?? (Hint, Hint)
Same story different author. Dude is big time, yet, gets screwed over by a bop. The main girl is a kept chick doing nothing with her life because the man that treats her like a last thought basically bought her. The damsel in distress trope is so played out. At least Shanice had something going for herself, what's so hard about writing about bossed up women who don't need a man for financial security but for the real reasons men and women need each other. This story has been told a million times please get some creativity and at least change it up a bit.
This was a good sequel! I love when the couple start out rocky and then end up being the cutest couple. Xander did not play no games about his cocoa baby and I loved that for her especially after what she went through with her trifling ex Carter. The plot just was written and developed very well. I was happy to see Shanice let her guard down as well. This book kept me interested and wanting to see what came next. I’m hoping we can get another one this story has a lot of spin off potential.
Book 2 of this series answered the questions from book one and had a little bit of everything to keep the reader fully engaged. Kelcee remained somewhat irksome for a large part of the book, but she finally matured. Xandar continued to display the patience of a saint while dealing with her. Shanice and Xay finally found their act right and the vilans all got what they deserved. Overall, the epilouge wrapped this storyline up in a pretty bow and left us readers in a good place with this cast of characters.
This book was definitely a little better than the first one. LMAO she had some shit going on in this book. I am cracking up. I truly hated how Kelcee's dad was!!! He was just so dang bad! I couldn't imagine my dad ever treating me that or allowing someone to treat me that way, because of his own immature mindset. Just crazy work. I am so glad Shanice grew the hell up. She was starting to annoy me for sure. Xander was always a fav and Kelcee was cool too. I loved Xavier as well. I even loved that they were keeping the X names going.
Xan had a moment of 'playas fk up' but the way Kels got him to see the error of his was 🤣 i was here for it!! He was truly a woman's man and proved daily how much he was committed to being everything she needed. Xay and Shan were the freakiest non-couple!! Shan had to get her mind right after Xay told her wat she could do for him 🤭 everybody that did wrong and played stoopidt games definitely won stoopit prizes!! Another 5 ⭐ recommend!!!
Xander is definitely bae I love everything about that man. The way he loves Kels is truly amazing. I'm so happy for her and Shanice in which they both worked my nerves at first Xay was my guy too in happy everybody got their happy ever after. Can't say I feel sorry for Trish Carter Keith nor Reba they had all be warned and gave chance after chance. Great read Nek Mills your pen game is fire.
This plug business is always a good read for me. The way these characters go through the town taking people out and not having any regard about the consequences get me every time. Xander was a true plug and his handy work on consequences for the people who wrong him was quick and lethal. That cliff hanger from the first book played out in the best way possible. I love N. Mills pen.
This book was an awesome read 1 and 2. In the first book how each character was introduced and Kelcee and Xander met. But it kind of thew me off when they got so drunk and didn't remember getting married. And it as never said how or when it happened. In book 2 how Shanice finally broke down to let Xavier in to love her the correct way. People can change for the right ONE. "LOVED"
If you like laughing, a lil drama and good smexy scenes with a wow factor, Nek is your Author. The banter between characters is just like my cousin’s and I when we’re together. Xander is the grown up protector and Xavier is the nonsense jokester of the brothers and they are both bae.
I really enjoyed this two book series. Well written, good story line, violence with elegance (lol). I hate when reviews tell the whole story so with that, just read the book! I've read a few books by this author and each one was a page turner. My plan is to read her entire catalog.
Everything I hoped it would be. You didn't disappoint at all. Plenty of scheming, sex, drama, humor and love. I'll be reading more of your work. Give me one BBW if you have time. Five stars,I always tell my friends that are readers when I can read the same book over. This is one of them.
