Meh.
I didn’t hate it, but didn’t love it either. Definitely some moments when I literally lol. I found myself more interested in Shan and Xay, twin flames are usually a good story.
On to book 2.

We were introduced to Xander and his brother Xay in Think it’s a Game. But baby I didn’t know Xan was gone be crazy crazy. He given my baby Loon a run for his money.
Xander is a Farmer by Day and the Plug by night..but no matter the time he’s still the got damn boss!! But after finding out his girlfriend’s secrets a vacation to the DR is much needed to relax and decompress.
Tired of fighting for her man’s attention Kelcee times it’s time to move on and get her life together…after she enjoys an all expense paid vacation on Carters dime that is.
Vacations are for memories and getting over your ex with the fine man you met while riding ATVs. Especially since you’re never going to see him again. And that’s exactly what Kelcee does except what happens in the DR didn’t stay in the DR and her and Xanders world are more connected then they know. Look that ATV scene was one of my fav parts of the book 🤣🤭
From the first chapter Xander gave psychopath tendencies. But I love him. When yall meet Roc and Roe yall will know why this man is #1 loony tune in Neks world. Xans brother Xay and Kelcees bestie Shanice is a match made in crazy heaven. Them 2 kept me hollering. Xay has no sense. Kelcee worked my nerves a lil bit she got it together.

Lawd have mercy!!!! Nek had me at the beginning of this book. I don’t even know where to start. Xander and Xavier are two brothers you never want to cross. Just because they aren’t flashy doesn’t mean they are the men that run the streets of their city. Xander is the more laid back quiet one while Xavier is the smart fool 😂. The way he pulled up after the 911 text had me dying. Kelcee and Shanice are friends on vacation. Kelcee is taking a break on her trifling boyfriend’s dime. They are ready to act up because what happens on vacation stays on vacation, right? Wrong! They will cross paths with Xander and Xavier again and they will have to figure happens when your vacation secrets are bought home.
I’m just going to let you know. I need the second book like yesterday 😂. Yes, I’m being one of those people now. 😂

Xander and Xavier are something, I loved the bond between the two. The way Xander showed no mercy when it came to honesty and loyalty was top tier. He is quiet but he is not someone to play with. He stayed ready to off someone.
I was dying laughing at the way Xavier came when Xander sent him the 911 text, but he knew what was up. He might of came looking crazy but he had the heat and knew was ready to use it.
I loved that Kelcee had Shan because the way she wouldn’t leave Carter alone had me scratching my head. Shan was gentle but firm with Kelcee about her relationship. I loved how Shan didn’t care, but was safe and wouldn’t let anyone body shame her.
Kelcee’s mom ate and let no crumbs when she asked Shan way she had all those men in and out that house.
The cliff hanger at the end sent me, I have to get into part two immediately because I need to know who the wife is. I also need to know what’s going to happen between the two duos.

Xan and Kels
Xan is the boss! It takes one time for someone to be disloyal or cross him and you can find yourself pushing up daises.
Kels is the sweetest and loyal friend/GF. Her now BF is treating her like she’s an option more than his woman. Now her BFF Shanice is the friend everyone needs.
Well Kels and Shanice plan a trip to the DR and Xander and his brother Xavier also take a trip. When the couples first meet is one of my fav scenes in the DR when they all were about to ride ATV’s
When Xan and Kels left DR they came back new people as you can say.
Both Kels and Xan’s ex’s are 🗑️!
This was a good strangers to lovers can’t wait for you all to meet these two.

keeps your attention
This book is pretty decent. I enjoyed the male characters they were interesting as well as Shan, she’s eye catching as well. But the main female (Kelcee) she irritates me. I don’t like weak fmc. I like strong leads. And she by far is not strong. Everything about her screams weak, insecure, helping hand, etc. No I probably won’t read book two because it’ll be more of her screaming about being mistreated and doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it til probably the end of the book or maybe someone doing something about it for her which still is her being weak and not handling business.

Now this was a great start to a fated heart story. These brothers doing what they needed to do to save their grandparents farm and when things took off they made things bigger than expected.
When it comes to a woman having those strange feelings about some nine times out of ten those feelings were right. Licee knew in her heart that Carter had been doing her wrong and the people that should have been in her corner wasn't. Her father was always roti g for this deadbeat who treated his daughter wrong which led me to believe that either he knew and was getting paid to look the other way or Carter had dirt on him as well either way he was wrong wanting g his child to stay hurting for the entire relationship.
Now that vacation was just what the brothers and best friends needed because they found their number one no matter how they fought against it. With the secret Licee was hiding to now being introduced to the one man that captured her everything while on vacation things are about to get heated.

His brother and his workers drop hints with smart remarks but is Ma who gets him the proof! Trish is dumped and thrown out penniless and homeless! The brothers decide to go away to the DR where they meet Shanice and Kelcee. Kelcee and Xander have a connection they can’t explain! Shanice and Xavier are two sides of the same coin! Will Kelcee reveals her secret to Xander? Xander drops a bomb at the end of the book! I can’t wait for part 2! A good read!

Caught off Guard
Ok so this was my first urban fiction book. I was caught off guard because everyone was telling me how urban and smutty they can be.
This book was not that but it was good. It started off kind of violent but nothing I haven’t seen before on a movie.
The book overall was good. The ending through me off, it was definitely a cliffhanger. Thankfully book 2 is out so I will give my full review after I read book 2 because I was definitely left with unanswered question and feeling like I woke up and the money was on the nightstand. 🤣
RECOMMENDATION: 8/10 (only because it didn’t feel like a complete read)

This book me on pins and needles waiting for the dots to be connected and for the two leads to find out about the no good people in their lives. It took a while to get there, but when Xander found out about his now ex, he handled it just how he was supposed to. Kelcee, on the other hand, was irking my nerves with all the wasted words she used as she kept right on putting up with the same mess from Carter. Her bestie Shanice gave it to her straight every single time though and I liked that. I also liked how Shanice matched Xay's energy and gave him a run for his money at the same time. Kelcee though, Ugh! She was getting too exhausting UNTIL the end when things got too good but ended in a cliffhanger. On to book 2 because I need to know what's next.

What happens on Vacation stays on vacation?
OMG this book was so good!! Xavier definitely met his match!! And Xan is giving bae hands down! I still don't know how he ignored all the red flags with Trish. I low key had a feeling in my soul what the infinity signs meant but i still gasped at the end in shock!! I can't wait till part two to see how all this plays out? Especially with the added surprise in the mix ! Don't want to spoil it for readers. Just know this book was fire and a must read! Don't have us waiting long for part two sis.

Big Daddy Xan!!!
I’m not gonna lie…I was skeptical about the whole farmer thing but in true Nek Mills fandom fashion... She pulled that shit off. Baby Xander didn’t come to play and he made sure everybody knew he stood on business. The way him and Kelcee crossed paths was cute and I was here for it. Now she got on my nerves a lil bit but Big Daddy Xan was quick to let her know he wasn’t one of them. I’m not a big fan of secondary characters but baby Xay and Shan 🤌🏽 that’s all ima say. If Nek Mills is going to do one thing it’s take you on a riiiiiidddde honey! You know that popular gif of Maria Martin clutching her pearls.. that was me in the very first chapter because whew this man is crazy! I personally think Xander might be crazier than Loon but I’m open to debate lol he loved him some Kels though!
Xavier had me in stitches. I wanted to pew pew the daddy myself. Baby the ending!! The whole party scene was just giving! I am so glad I got to arc this because I would be UPSET waiting for part 2!

This book was really good!!! It's my first read by Nek Mills and it didn't disappoint. Xander is delicious man that don't like bullshit and Kelcee is a strong woman stuck in a toxic relationship!
We are on this journey of them meeting in thr DR. It's definitely love at first sight, but they trippin!
Xavier and Shanice are much needed comic and ill woop yo ass relief and I love that we get to see them get to know each other as well!!!
I can't wait to read the next one (I downloaded it immediately after reading this one!!)

Now baby you could have bought me for a penny with that cliffhanger because I did not see that coming. Kelcee has a lot on her hands now to deal with after that girls trip and I am here for it. Kelcee’s one night stand with Xander has opened up a whole new set of drama and baby Carter has no idea how things are about to go but he deserves every bit of karma he is about to receive..

I absolutely love these characters this book was very intriguing to me I couldn't wait to see what happened on vacation. I really love the way shanice rode for her friend and had her back it was very refreshing to read. At first i was like why did she still end up with Carter but I knew Xander was going to run into her again and get her back for good. Her father is a very unlikeable man I wouldn't wish that kind of parent on anyone

Crazy Trish and Reba think they have Xander, little do they know Kelcee has his heart! Great series so far! A few grammatical errors but I love the story!

You know how a story starts getting really good them it ends on a cliffhanger???? That's what happened here! I try really hard not to buy books that have a 2nd or 3rd part until those are published because I've been BURNED. Those authors never produce the next part because the characters are no longer talking to them....
