Very cute read! Honestly just as cute as I anticipated it would be!

Since cat manga is SO popular, I wanted to try something with a doggo, and am very glad I picked it up because while it was slower than I anticipated, it was very easygoing and relaxing, which I appreciated.

With that said though, I do NOT think it is boring! I feel like it's mainly building up to something happening, but I just enjoyed being able to see Takumi bond with Leo while in another world. She is SO cute and totally understand why everyone is drawn to her because I love her!

I liked how some things remain unanswered concerning Takumi's gift(s) because I am DEEPLY curious as to what they are and definitely planning to read the next volume!

Overall, definitely recommend it if you want a doggo as a large part of the story and something that is relaxing and fun to read! Great first volume!

Overworked young man Takumi and his cute little dog Leo find themselves suddenly transported to an entirely different world where Leo is suddenly huge and apparently a revered and rare silver fenrir. When Leo dispatches an orc Takumi is convinced they are no longer in Japan, and even moreso when Leo saves a young woman from another orc in the woods. Lady Claire is eternally grateful, and doubly so when they also help her find the plants needed to treat her sister's illness. Just where is Takumi, and is magic really real here?
The end of the book has a text-only story of how Takumi found and saved Leo as a puppy (and why he accidentally named her a boy's name).

This was cute and a lot of fun. Takumi disarms people without realizing it, is kind and eager to help. Leo is a delightful huge ball of fluff who seems to understand human speech in the magical world. They are like a knight and noble steed finding their way in a new world. And when Lady Claire realizes they really have no clue about her world, she's a very gracious host. Definitely will be looking into getting more of this series.

Notes on content:
Language: 5 minor swears.
Sexual content: None
Violence: Leo attacks and kills an orc (which looks like a giant, bipedal pig) and it isn't really bloody. Some street rats threaten Lady Claire and Takumi but Leo quickly intimidates them without things coming to actual violence.
Ethnic diversity: Takumi is Japanese, Claire and her household appear to be of European-like descent.
LGBTQ+ content: None
Other: Leo was abandoned as a puppy and Takumi rescued her in the nick of time or she would have died.

Cute, clean, if unremarkable story about a man who finds an abandoned Maltese puppy and brings her home. Stuff happens and both man and dog wind up in another world where the dog, Leo, is transformed into an enormous wolf-like creature capable of talking. I like to joke about dogs embracing their inner wolf. This is sort of that concept, but Clifford-sized.

The story is kind of slow with lots of buildup as our protagonists wander through a forest, kill some creatures, save a young woman, and take her home. Of course she's a princess or such. I really have no idea where the story is going to lead but it's a fun, quick beach read.

this was so cozy and wholesome!! a more unique spin on an isekai where not only does takumi (overworked salaryman) get transported to a fantasy world, but so does his adorable and loyal maltese pup leo (´꒳`)♡ in the new world, leo is a GIANT FLUFFY WOLF who is able to fiercely defend takumi and even rescue a noblewoman who they end up befriending. the rest of the plot hasn't been groundbreaking or anything, it's rather slow and definitely fits the cozy genre in that it seems very low stakes without a big baddie so far...I rounded up because I'm a sucker for an adorable person/pup pairing.

Honestly, kind of a boring start to the series. I do like the setup, the art is really cute, and I love the relationship between the main character and his dog. But it feels like very little happens in this volume, especially when you compare it to what could be happening.

While I love a dog and it turning into a giant wolf, this story loses steam before the first volume is done. Just slows waaaaay down and becomes downright boring. Too bad. Maybe it’s just this whole isekai genre. Meh

This was cute. And with how many cat themed mangas I currently have, I'm liking finding a dog one.

This was so cute. A simple introduction to the world but it leaves me interested in learning more. The dog is just too precious and I love her.
