The MMC was such a good and caring man. He was perfect for someone like the FMC. Sadly the plot of "FMC fleeing from an abusive stalker ex and acting like a headless chicken when he turns up" is just difficult to do well. I don't like to call a FMC too dumb to live, but this one made one big tdtl decision in the beginning aka leaving the safeguarded home where she lived with her witch coven and the Orc WARRIOR pack to "protect" her coven from her ex....And she also took her toddler daughter with her. And she lost her magic shortly before running because she had to defend herself with her powers against her human ex (attacking a human with magic gets your magic automatically blocked by like an agency).
So yeah, I would have to call that too dumb to live.
Also, there were some editing mistakes in the story with switching tenses, using the wrong tense and some forgotten words.
The best thing about this was the decadent, delicious and truly well done spicy scene at like 84%.

Okay, I did not expect to fall head over heels for a monster romance, but here we are—and I regret nothing. This book was an absolute delight! 🥰

Enka? Oh, Enka. That Orc was the ultimate lovable goofball—overprotective, sweet, and such a hopeless romantic. I swear, he simped so hard and I was here for it. Every scene with him had me grinning like a fool.

Gabbi, the kid? A chaotic little ray of sunshine with a personality that could light up a cave. I laughed out loud more than once thanks to that tiny whirlwind.

And Tasia—my heart. She was so gentle and guarded, and watching her slowly open up to Enka was just… chef’s kiss. The way she let him love and protect her and Gabbi? I melted.

The found family vibes were strong and oh-so-sweet. I never thought I’d be into monster romance, but this book was the perfect cozy, quirky escape to yank me out of a reading slump. 10/10 would recommend if you want giggles, feels, and a big green Orc who’ll steal your heart.
