Y’all… I thought I was ready for Maksim Vetrov. I really did. I read book one. I knew these Vetrov men were a special brand of dangerous. But nothing—and I mean nothing—prepared me for him.
This book wrecked me in the best way. It’s gritty, it’s raw, and it doesn't hold your hand through the dark. Maksim is ice and fire wrapped in scars and secrets, and once he sets his sights on the heroine? Game over. I was gripping my Kindle like it owed me answers. The tension? Off the charts. The passion? Absolutely feral. And the emotional pull? That’s what really got me. Because for all his ruthless edges, Maksim feels. Deeply. And it shows in every possessive, toe-curling, soul-shaking scene.
Now the heroine? She’s no delicate flower. She walks straight into the lion’s den, head high, heart guarded—and still finds herself unraveling. I felt every ounce of her conflict: the loyalty to her missing brother, the need to survive, and the spiraling madness of falling for the man who might be her family’s worst nightmare.

This is Maksim and Zoya's story. I gave it a three for one reason. Both characters were beyond morally gray but never reconciled and had true feelings for each other. It was more a "we're stuck with each other, so we move forward." Zoya's brother is hiding, and Maksim is tasked with finding him while using Zoya No one here has good intentions. Her brother isn't the kind loving brother Zoya paints him to be. Zoya isn't the innocent easily malleable woman everyone thinks she is. Maksim isn't the man torn between love and loyalty. All this could have made for a good story but there was no chemistry between the characters. The business side was good - really good. Unfortunately, Maksim never changed and Zoya became weaker. This the 2nd story in The Vetrov Chronicles where Maksim is tasked with uncovering information from Zoya on her brother’s whereabouts due to his attack and killing a family member with his drugs. Zoya has a basic understanding of the life her brother leads and tries to make decisions to protect him against Maksim’s Family’s revenge. Zoya and Maksim have a problem skating between being enemies or go ahead with the attraction they have for each other. Maksim was originally ordered to treat Zoya as an assignment but can’t seem to stop his need to have and protect her. When secrets are revealed Zoya’s world is destroyed but with the support of Maksim they are able to work together to deal what’s dealt to them. Good book. Not as good as the 1st book in this series about Rolan. The story was good but some of the storyline was confusing. It said one thing but then it was contradicted.
FMC was a good character. She was strong and very family oriented. MMC is a part of the Russian Bratva and part of the Vetrov family. However I am not sure what his relationship is to Rolan from book one. Is he a brother or cousin? Book 2 never said.
The chemistry between the MC's was hot! Right from the start. Ending was nice.

The Enforcers Vow is book 2 in the Vetrov Chronicles series and is Enforcer Maksim and Zoya's fast paced, engaging read. With her brother missing Zoya believes her only hope of finding him may be the Bratva and her way in is Maksim. Things don't turn out quite the way she expects though. Things get heated quickly with them and before you know it these two are burning the pages up. The Enemy Vow is an enjoyable, one sitting read!

The Enforcers Vow is book 2 in Cooper's The Vetrov Chronicles series and is enforcer Maksim and Zoya's story. Well written, captivating, and fast paced. This book will grip you and not let go! Full of action, drama, suspense and of course romance, plenty of steamy chemistry. So eager for more from Cooper and this series!

Deeply romantic
A wonderful story, full of deep emotions. A journey two souls took that were meant to be. And tho just a story, the author's words near the end of the book about God and life brought many heartfelt tears to me. Life is full of hardships but beneath it all we need to be grateful for our family, even tho for some of us that scars remain. A truly wonderful book that speaks to the heart.

Great Story!!
Loved reading The Enforcer’s Vow. This book was a fast read for me. Zoya and Maksim’s story was action packed and the chemistry between them was super HOT, sometimes love can come when you least expect it, loved their story!!

This is a very fast read that pulls
you in right from the very beginning.

I loved this cover. A cover makes or breaks a book. Zoya and Maksim are made for each other. They don’t like each other but can’t stay away. This book has suspense, drama, sex and love. Are really great book.
