One of history’s most tragic disasters and Rachel’s race against time.In 2028, Rachel Hunt is hired by Katherine Richardson, a wealthy descendant of Grace Carrington, to use Sinclair Whitlock’s time travel machine once again. This time, she will travel back to 1912. Her task is to investigate the mysterious disappearance of 15-year-old Grace and her governess, Edith Winslow. They had vanished just one day before they were scheduled to board the Titanic.
While rumors suggested that the two women had boarded the ill-fated ship, neither of their names appeared on any passenger, survivor, or casualty list. In 1912, the police concluded that Grace and Edith had been murdered, but the case remained unsolved, shrouded in mystery. Katherine hires Rachel to find Grace, save her life, and bring her forward into the twenty-first century.
When Rachel arrives in 1912 Southampton, England, she quickly finds Grace and Edith, only to learn their lives are in imminent danger. With little time to spare, Rachel must navigate a tangled web of deception and betrayal to save them from a grim fate. But as the pressure mounts, she’s faced with an agonizing return to the twenty-first century without Grace or attempt to fulfill her mission and board the Titanic, knowing it will collide with an iceberg and sink, claiming the lives of over 1,500 people—including, possibly, her own.

AN ANGEL SENT FROM HEAVEN, A WARRIOR, A TIME-TRAVELER, SENT ON A MISSION TO SAVE A 15-YEAR-OLD
☆☆☆☆☆
A romantic historical fiction time travel thriller masterpiece that will surprise you on some of the insights into the people of 1912 in England as well as the poor souls that both survived and parished during the tragic loss of the Titanic not to mention the loss that hit the town of Southampton, Englan who lost over five hundred husbands, wifes, fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters who served as part of the crew. The loss of the passengers of the Titanic was a waste of life that could have been avoided in multiple ways from the speed at which the ship was traveling, not paying attention to the warning of icebergs spotted in the vicinity, lack of proper equipment being used by the crew, and the lack of lifeboats on the ship for cosmetic and cost savings reasons.
Risk 2: A Titanic Time Travel Thriller – Book 2 (Time Risk Series) by Elyse Douglas has again written a well-written tale of adventure and suspense that will keep you engrossed in the story from the first page to the last only leaving you jonesing for the third book in this great series when it is released in December 2025.
The main character is a strong morally sound young lady by the name of Rachel who as being an ex-detective for the Cleveland Police Department with the determination to place her life on the line by traveling through time to save the life of a person from a tragic event for a family member in the future. Though doing so is quite challenging for Rachel because so far the lives she's saved are people who perished in an event that took thousands of lives and even though she'd love to save them all, she has to be careful not to change the timeline too much and destroy the future as we know it.
If you are into a great story, action-packed scenarios, characters that seem to come to life on the pages, and even being thrown into works, Elyse Douglas and her husband as a way of tying into the historical fiction of the event with a romantic relationship between two young adults that will touch your heartstrings. I have really enjoyed reading this book as well as the first book in this series and hope you will too.
Another ripping tale of adventure into the past. The details in the book and the pictures painted are extraordinary in their realism. The story never loses pace, and each part of the journey through this book is a toboggan ride of unexpected twists and turns as the protagonists are thrown fresh challenges on every page.
I love this book. The first one was great but this book at me glued to my tablet. WOW. Such interesting backstory. The titanic. It made it feel much more alive than before reading the book. After the first bit of character development, it never stopped being suspenseful. It was all I could do to not skip to the end to find out how all the characters fared. One of my favorite time travel books ever! Wish there was a third as I love Rachel’s charcter.
The writers, called Douglas, consistently produce the best time travel stories now available. Their research rarely gets in the way of the writing and each title has something unique in the plot. I’m looking forward to Rachel’s next leap into the past which is promised toward the end of this Edwardian adventure. I did see that in the end that it would surprise her handlers and Rachel herself.

This second Rachel time travel mission is an amazingly good introduction to the drama of the Titanic disaster focused on a few principal characters that introduce us to many aspects of 1912 British life. Rachel once again has to deal with surprises, both small and big, as she travels to save a young woman and manages to succeed in an unexpected way. There is a major surprise halfway through that makes her mission more interesting as well as much more dangerous, but Rachel rides it through and manages to make it home, though not without some unexpected changes to the timeline.
I love the toughness and strength of Rachel, the main character in this time travel series. It's so satisfying reading about a woman who holds her own among the men. It surprises me that I so much enjoy her using her self-defense skills to best her male attackers. She is a strong female character that we don't usually get a chance to read about. The time travel adventures add to the uniqueness of the books. I've read two so far, and plan on trying a third.
Never thought I'd spend time on the Titanic, but this book has made me feel like I was there. It was a wonderful experience to watch Rachel interact with all the characters who she met in this book. All her research fully came in handy so she could know how to find where she needed to travel while on land and again on the Titanic. I highly recommend this book if you love mystery and high adventure. Thanks again to the authors.
A stunning sequel. You just know from the moment the mission is suggested that Rachel is going to end up on the Titanic and the many twists and turns inextricably lead her there. A really entertaining well written story that captures the atmosphere of the perils and has great vivid descriptions of the ship. Highly recommended series. Wonderful. Narration is excellent with a good range of accents and voices.
We all know the story about the Titanic and seen the movie. This book puts us there in the picture. Clare and Dory seem like the movie characters in real life. Rachel's adventures have mystery, danger, and unforgettable characters. Who would think of an evil man like Clare's. I'm ready to see where Rachel takes us next.
Is there going to be a book three? The first two books were so good, I am waiting for the next. Each chapter had me longer to start the next one to see how the time traveler would complete her mission. I was in suspense the whole time. Please write about her next mission.
This as was the second book in this fascinating story about time travel. Rachel has agreed to go back in time to 1912 to find out what happened to two young English women. She finds them in Southampton in the days right before Titanic sails and she must navigate all sorts of hardships to save them. A fascinating read for sure!
I wasn’t expecting such a wonderful and exciting book. I found that I just couldn’t put it down. I felt so invested in each of the characters. This is a beautifully crafted story that makes all the boring and predictable stories seem even worse. Truly a very special book!
A satisfying story of a rescue on the Titanic in 1912. Vivid details of the clothing and lifestyles transports us back to that time. A good story and plot. My only question is why didn’t Rachel approach Grace when she was alone in the hotel and activate the beeper then?
This book got a well deserved 5 star review I absolutely loved my evening reading sessions and didn't want it to end .The Titanic, the people on the ship, everyone Rachel met throughout her time travel experience, all of it felt so real in that I could visualize being there amongst them all .I totally immersed myself in the story so well written and rich in history too I loved this book.
Rachel time travels back to 1912 to find out what happened to two women that disappeared right before they were to board the Titanic. The story seemed to start slow to establish all the background and technology and I was worried she was never going to get to 1912. Once she arrived, the pace quicken, and the story became riveting.
I’m an Elyse Douglas fan from way back and Time Risk is definitely one of their best! The story totally immerses the reader in the Titanic world and brings to life the world of 1912.
Mixing a little fact with fiction and add intrigue, romance and a lot of emotion .. I couldn't stop thinking about this story until I finished. Woke up twice through the night to read. It's fascinating and definitely a page turner.
I loved this story about the Titanic. I have a book about the Titanic and it was neat to find pictures of the parts of the ship Rachel spent time in. I do wish the author would list her resources and what parts and characters were real.
Thank you. I love how Rachel is growing and how she cares about people. Also, really admire how you always give us a great ending even though there’s sadness, we always need hope!
This is another interesting look at time travel to the past and the effects it may have on the present. From this perspective it’s pretty clear that you never return to the same the same timeline that you left.
This second book in the series is much better than the first book. This is unusual. So, why did I read the second book? The summary oh the second book was interesting. Ergo, I red the second book
This book has only one problem: it ended. Love The first one in the serie but this...wow. I love all things related with Titanic and the book brings the ship to live I want more Rachel's adventures and a love for her....
This is a wonderful, engaging and compelling book. It drops us into one of the most iconic circumstances in recent history. By that method, it teaches, inspires, and entertains. Thank you, Elyse Douglas. You are a remarkable writing team.
I found it interesting as I always was interested in it's story. I have read and seen A Night to Remember many times. I wished in way she'd fallen in love with Edward and brought him forward in time with her Unfortunately, he went down with the Titanic

I love time travel books and Elyse Douglas' books are awesome. I really like how she brings historical events into the storyline. This book keeps your interest from the first page to the last. I couldn't put it down and read it in a day.
Very well written with many interesting characters and many plot twists and turns you don't see coming. Elyse Douglas is very good at writing characters that are like real people in all their variety. The Titanic ship was also well characterized. This book is Highly Recommended!
Wow, back to 1912 and the initial launch of the Titanic! Rachel is certainly trusting to get on the ship she knows is going to sink. The story is really crazy when you come to think about it, but I enjoyed it.
