This is a deeply personal story that is vulnerable, honest, and humble. Pastor Wade is not bitter, despite the emotional wounds he has suffered. He admits his own mistakes (which are few and minor) and protects those who hurt him by not mentioning them by name. His story is raw yet redemptive. An easy read, written in short chapters, he ends each chapter with reflective questions and many appropriate scriptures. Pastors and other Christian leaders who have suffered emotional pain, disappointment, and depression will find this book helpful. (Full disclosure, I know Kevin Wade personally, and although I didn't know all of his wounds before reading this book, I knew enough to know he writes with integrity.)
