Tipping Point : Book Two in The Fixer Series

Rate this book
She was fourteen when they left her.

When Theo, Kade, and Owen slipped into the night and never came back. Now, Nevaeh goes by a name the world worships. Cold. Untouchable. Built from the ruins of the girl they abandoned. And she made damn sure no one would ever hurt her again.

But Theo never stopped watching. The boy who once swore to protect her is a man now—carefree, obsessive, and still, hers whether she wants him or not. When the past claws its way back into her life, there’s only one number she can call. She needs his help. But she won’t make it easy. He’ll have to bleed for her forgiveness. Grovel for every inch of trust. Crawl to her until she breaks him down. And he’ll let her.

Because Theo’s been waiting for this moment—even if it’s the one that finally pushes him past his Tipping Point.

Tipping Point is dark, messy, and addictive, the kind of book that drags you by the throat into neon-lit trauma and complicated loyalties. Nevaeh’s POV is a standout — her chapters are sharp, atmospheric, and dripping with confidence that barely covers the scars underneath. The writing is unapologetically raw and cinematic, making her nightclub world feel both terrifying and magnetic. Theo, on the other hand, is chaos incarnate — reckless, funny in the worst moments, and heartbreakingly haunted. Together, they create a tension that’s impossible to look away from.

That said, the book isn’t flawless. At times the prose leans so hard into grit and aesthetic metaphors that it feels a little indulgent, almost overwrought. Dialogue beats can get repetitive. The romance is a slow burn that makes sense for the characters, but Nevaeh’s armor holds so strong that as a reader I wanted more cracks to show earlier — more moments of vulnerability before the later payoff.

Still, it delivers on what it promises: a brutal, angst-heavy dark romance that doesn’t sugarcoat trauma, explores found family and abandonment, and makes its strip-club stages feel like altars. It’s bold, bloody, and unforgettable — even when it stumbles under its own weight.

Tipping Point was everything I hoped for and more! The drama, the pacing, the twists—I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Amelia Callahan’s writing is addictive and cinematic, making every chapter feel alive. If you love stories with tension, heart, and unforgettable characters, this is a must-read. Five stars all the way! (plus who doesn’t love a bad ass women and a simp BF?)
