Cozyverse #3

A Pack for Spring

Rate this book
She’s always dreamed of a soft life.

They’re determined to provide it for her.

Lucy Andersson-Spring’s twenty-ninth birthday comes with a side helping of a quarter-life crisis. She loves her community, her sewing shop, and her secret social media account featuring Starlight Grove’s cat mayor, but maybe she needs to be more ambitious, more self-sufficient. At least, that’s what the alphas she dated last year kept saying . . . before they cheated on her.

Lucy is determined this year will be a fresh start, but her quest to leave her romantic dreams behind keeps being thwarted. First, a disastrous camping trip leaves her stranded with Wilder, the reserved fire chief. Then, a grumpy businessman named King bursts into her shop with a desperate proposal. And then there’s Leo, the cute florist who brings her bouquets, but never the dinner invitation she hopes for.

Like Lucy, these guys are facing crossroads in their lives, but when their hesitancy in wooing the stunning omega leaves her feeling rejected all over again, they realize they can’t live without her. Determined to win her over, they embark on a journey of self-discovery, complete with a meddlesome cat, mischievous bunny, and bizarrely specific horoscopes, to become a pack worthy of her.

A Pack for Spring is as poignant as it is playful, with themes of found family, self-acceptance, and scorching hot spice, of course! It is a standalone MMFM why choose small town romance. It is part of the Cozyverse shared universe, bringing you cozy omegaverse full of heart, heat, and humor.

I am just so obsessed with this series sand so happy to be back in this world! This is Lucy's story, and she's an omega who has her own sewing/tailoring business. What I really loved in this book is that all of her guys, two alphas and an omega, didn't really know each other going into this book. They all realized they had a bond with Lucy, and after all almost ruining their chances with her, they decide to come together to create a pack and court her. I loved how we got to see Lucy develop her relationship with all of them, and it was adorable how much they all ended really caring for and loving her, and coming together to win their girl. And Felix was a STAR. I loved the cute outfits Lucy made for him, and the little bunny that also joins the cozy family. This is a definite must-read when it releases! The definition of a cozy omegaverse romance with some hot spice and an adorable small town!

DNF at 12%.

I'm annoyed by several things. The two men who are interested in her don't talk to her. They run away from her because they are "not worthy". But it looks like they just don't like her.

I don't want her to be so desperate that she will allow this kind of behavior.

And then I read the reviews and I don't think I would like the other men that will be part of her pack.

This book really brought smile to my face.
Omg, I loved it! It was romantic, sweet, cozy and fun.

After numerous rejection from overall life, Lucy is ready for a new adventure with her 29th b’day. Even though she hopes for a pack and HEA, she’s also working on herself.
Lucy is also crushing hard on her new neighbour, a shy beta who is also a florist. But when she hits the first obstacle towards her new life, she meets a grumpy, loner and firefighter🧑‍🚒 Wilder. Then comes the Hot shot CEO and city boy (man) King. Now nothing will be the same.

I loved that, despite the circumstances, Lucy is still such a positive and sweet person. She takes care of others and expect nothing for herself. But when the guys enter her life, they cherish and protect her. I loved their equation with each other. All three were strangers who came together for their omega.

Lucy, Ivy, Summer and Olive are soulmates. I adore their friendship so much. Easton was especially hilarious in this book.

The small town charm was superior and like a good Mayor, Felix is ready to bring some drama to Lucy’s life. That adorable, wonderful Cat is the main hero of this book. His matchmaking skills are out of the world and the schemings— he is a master! I didn’t think it can get any more cuter and then I was introduced to Blossom! She and King made me hoot with laughter.

Overall I enjoyed it immensely.

-Cozy Why choose omegaverse.
-Low angst & Fun.
-SmallTown shenanigans.
-Deep friendships and familial bonds.
-The mayor is a clever scheming CAT.
-Recommended.

I received an advance review copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

I was SO BORED. They were all in love after basically the second time meeting so why was this book 480 pages?? I could not connect to the characters, the romance was bland, and there was nothing about the story that gripped me. There was way too much filler in the chapters that any bit of interest I had, disappeared. The FMC’s first interaction with King had me to hooked. There was tension and the spice was spicing! But then that quickly turned into insta love and everything interesting about them fizzled out.

I have come to learn maybe this author isn’t for me. I’ve also realized it‘s purely because her books are way too long and that’s it. A Pack for Autumn, also written by her, was about 350 pages or so and I loved that one. She seems to specialize in cozy, no/low angst books which for a shorter book, can really work but there’s not enough substance to hold its own when a book is 450+ pages.

As the name of this series suggest it was cozy but at the same time it's omegaverse, so lots of sex. I did enjoy some moments of the book but why daddy kink again?! Why?! Made me cringe every time 🫣

Once again Emilia Emerson has written an Omegaverse I could not put down! Lucy and her guys built their pack around love and acceptance, which is one of the things I loved most about this book.
I loved the diversity of this pack not just in nationalities (which was interesting and made for fun terms of endearment), but also in upbringing. It showed a different sort of cohesiveness to the relationship that I really appreciated.

If you know anything about me you know I love Omegaverse books, but there is something special about this series. It has a sense of community to it. I love the girl group who is always there for each other no matter what. The meddling Mayor Felix 🐱 always bouncing around making magic happen. And the gossip of the other members of the town. These books really are just a joy to read every time I pick one up!

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley and this is my honest review.

Advanced reader copy review

I adored Lucy and her journey of finding confidence and love. She had such a supportive friend group, but still tended towards self doubt because of emotionally abusive exes. Wilder was gruff and grumpy and lonely, with no support. Leo was gregarious but struggling to pursue a relationship because of his internalized ableism about his osteoarthritis. I thought the way chronic pain was handled and the shame surrounding disability in our society was accurate. King was living a high powered CEO life with no real joy. They had their fair share of bumps and bruises from mistakes they made along the way, and worked through them with time and showing up for each other. It was all coziness.

Spice: 4/5

Triggers: syncope, hospitalization, internalized ableism, emotional abuse (past), cheating (by past partners), medical trauma, discussion of emotionally unavailable parents, mentions of past parent death, mention of side character being abused in past

This omegaverse is MMFM it was such a fun easy read for me I loved it!! This book had really good representation of disability and Iranian immigrants, the found family was my favorite part.❤️❤️ This story also has a lot of growth and self love all of the main characters were kind of lost at the beginning and watching them work together towards building a family was amazing truly.❤️🫶🏻

Little side note Blossom needs to stop giving me a heart attack every time she disappears 😭

Except, fate (and maybe Felix) has other plans, and she finds herself colliding with Wilder, the loner Fire Chief, King, a grumpy businessman with an odd proposal, and Leo, the sweet beta florist next door.

Thoughts:
What am I supposed to do with myself after this incredible book?! My love for the Cozyverse truly has no bounds. I’ve been forced to come to the conclusion that every book in this series is my favorite, and much like these incredible omegas, I shall not be forced to choose. That being said, A Pack for Spring is truly SO special and I feel as though I’ll mentally be in Starlight Grove for weeks after this emotional, hilarious, and kindle melting love story.

From page one I was completely enamored by these characters.
1. Leo immediately stole my heart with his kindness and vulnerability, and has officially been inducted into my Beta Hall of Fame. Don’t let his sweet disposition fool you though, he is so naughty and playful, and panty meltingly dominant. I might be unhealthily obsessed with him. His family’s story also made me so emotional because it reminded me of one of my childhood best friends and her family’s experiences as Lebanese-Iraqi immigrants (Love you, Z).
2. Lucy is genuinely so much fun, but has an incredible amount of depth that I enjoyed exploring. Her insecurities from her former relationship, and complications involving her hormonal condition were really relatable. I loved her creativity and open heart, and I’m so satisfied with her character’s journey to self discovery.
3. King was such a wildcard for Lucy and for me, but holy wow, he’s a great alpha in so many ways, and I can’t lie, I’m so pleased with the Daddy kink representation. I love how King is with Lucy and Leo!
4. Wilder, my sweet baby boi. Where do I even start? I feel like I could write sonnets about my love for him and his character development. He was the only character to make me cry, but holy shit, the tears were earned. His story absolutely wrecked me and I’m obsessed with the way he vacillates between melting for Lucy and being feral for her. I can’t get enough of him or their dynamic.
5. Felix was on a whole different level in this book and I ATE IT UP.
6. Blossom, I’d die for you.

The romance in A Pack for Spring is the kind that renews your faith in the existence of something as cosmic as true love. Everything was so intimate, so caring, and so feel good, that I’m brimming with happiness. I can’t stop smiling.

As for the physical intimacy, I had to plead for mercy while reading because my brain, body, and kindle needed relief from the absolutely scorching smut in this book. It was thigh clenching good. I wondered if I, too, had gone into heat.

Lastly, I am so, so proud of Emilia and Eliana. I’m still in awe of them and want to express my heartfelt congratulations. It makes me so happy, and appreciative, that this series is the first trad-published why-choose omegaverse!

Omegaverse readers are going to absolutely freaking love this book, and I cannot recommend this series more!!

DNF @ 21%. I like a cozy omegaverse, but I’m finding it hard to get invested in Lucy and her men. EVERYONE thinks they’re not good enough, which makes the characters feel a bit forgettable. I did enjoy some parts though, so I might pick this up again if I’m in the right mood.

I LOVED A Pack for Spring! I feel like each book just gets better and blows the prior one out of the water! Emilia's books are always so special to me and this one was even more so. It was so heartfelt, with so many loving and tender moments shared amongst the pack, amongst the friend group, and their families. Leo and his family, especially, were the source of a lot of my crying.

Not only is this book super romantic, it is also absolutely hilarious. There were so many moments that had me belly laughing!! It really put the com in romcom!

Starlight Grove is a special place and I can't wait for others to experience it once A Pack for Spring is out in April!

This was... alright. The vibes were great and I liked the characters, but I don't like how they acted when it came to romance, especially the sexual moments. Wilder is a great character, but his interactions or progression with her is... off. Even if someone wasn't actually a danger to me, if they thought they were, especially during sex, I'd really like to know this information-- but this is soooo glossed over.
There are a few other issues similar that would take me out of the story a bit, but not enough that I wanted to stop reading.
Overall, still very cozy and sweet.

This was such a good time. I love being in this world and A Pack for Spring was a perfect edition, even though sometimes I wanted to just smack the guys heads together lol.

It was really nice seeing the entire pack be built instead of an omega joining a pre existing pack and it definitely made me feel more connected to the mmcs. Poor Lucy was going THROUGH it and she more than deserved her happy ending 😭.

Felix was perfection as always and Blossom??? Adorable.

This book is the cozyverse of my dreams. I loved EVERYTHING about it. The courtship with her alphas and beta. The HA and HO intricacies. This book was so empowering for those of us that feel like we’re “too much” in relationships and in the world. I loved the additions of mixed media in the horoscopes, texts, and the Instagram posts.

My favorite of the series by FAR. I felt much more connected to the writing and characters in this book than the first two, but perhaps it is just because it had so many of my favorite tropes?

🌼complex female character
🌼found family/ strong female friendships
🌼wounded, outcast mountain man
🌼cutie pie shy boy-next-door
🌼daddy/babygirl
🌼disability rep
🌼bi rep/awakening
🌼a BUNNY WITH COSTUMES
🌼cozy, small town vibes

It seems like there is a lot going on, and there is, but it all worked really well together. I couldn’t put it down!!

A Pack for Spring✨🌸🪡

I was so excited to get an ARC from Putnam/Netgally! Especially now that cozyverse has gone TRAD💖

Right off the bat I knew I was going to relate with our girl Lucy. And boy did I!

Lucy is an omega who just turned 29! And although she runs a success sewing shop and creates her own custom clothes she feels the pressures of life and her final year in her twenties weighing down on her. She longs to be loved and cherished but has been burned in the past so she struggles to see her true worth beneath all negativity thrown her way.

But Starlight Grove, Mayor Felix the cat more specifically, wasn’t about to let Lucy believe those negative things for too long. Because the fates brings her two possessive alphas and an adoring beta to build a pack with.

Leo- the head over heels beta who has loved Lucy from he opened his flower shop next door. But he held himself back because he was worried his disability made him unworthy of her.

King- big shot CEO who had no intentions of staying around starlight grove until he falls HARD for Lucy and maybe even the cute florist too😉

Wilder- surly fire chief who prefers to stay secluded in his mountain home but can’t resist Lucy after he rescues her from a dangerous situation. Only pull away because he himself might put her at risk.

🌸 MFMM Omegaverse
🌸 slow burn but still spicy
🌸 found family
🌸 she calls him daddy
🌸 primal play

I definitely recommend this book! While it’s wasn’t my favorite of the series but it’s cute and cozy all the same. There were a few pacing issues that got to me and I’m not a huge fan of miscommunication (or lack of communication 😂) but otherwise it was another fantastic read from Emilia!

To say I was excited for this book is an understatement so right off the back big thank you to NetGalley & Putnam publishing for providing me with an ARC to read and review. This is my favorite guilty pleasure series I discovered at the tail end of last year and I’ve been waiting very impatiently for it to come out. So as soon as I got that ARC approval email I ran. And you bet I devoured this book in less than 24 hours. Now even with all that said I do have to admit I was a tad bit disappointed in this one compared to the other 2 books in the series. But I swear I still loved every minute of reading it.

So I won’t beat around the bush my biggest issue I had with this book boils down to one thing: MISCOMMUNICATION. Y’all forewarning I hate this trope with a fiery passion and it’s used excessively in this book. The amount of times I was screaming for any of them to pick up a phone or heck just speak your mind was exhausting. So many unnecessary drama points could’ve been avoided if all four of them would’ve gotten their heads out of their butts and been an adult.

But I digress, even with that going on I still enjoyed getting to know our new pack. I actually loved that the boys didn’t know each other going into their relationship with Lucy. So it made meeting these characters more emotional and charming. The spice of course was excellent as always. And mayor Felix is still the best part of the entire series! I can’t wait to see what mischief he gets up to in the next book.

Overall, I 100% recommend the cozyverse series and I can’t wait to check out book 4.

I’ve enjoyed every book of this series, but this one might be my favorite. Lucy, our omega FMC, is at the last year of her 20’s and feels that she will never find the pack of her dreams. With some unconventional meet cutes (and conniving from the town’s cat mayor), King, Wilder and Leo stumble into her life.
This whole book had me giddy and happily smiling from beginning to end. I loved seeing how smitten each of the guys were with her. I related to Lucy’s character with her self-doubt and thinking she’s “too much.” But of course her wonderful guys are there to assure her she’s just right for them. I also appreciated how much time and care the author took into exploring and developing the personalities of each of the MMC’s. Leo is such a sweetheart but has insecurities over his disability and worries that his beta status will not he enough to take care of Lucy. King was so hot with his grumpy alpha daddy persona, but is putty for Lucy (and her adorable bunny). And Wilder made me ache with his tender heart and fear of his diagnosis (a fictional one exclusively for omegaverse world) worried he would hurt Lucy.
This is such a sweet and well-developed story that I would highly recommend to anyone in the mood for a cozy romance. This series as a whole would also be perfect for those new to omegaverse!

Tropes:
MMFM
Grumpy mountain man MMC
Grumpy daddy MMC
Spankings
Bratty FMC
Unconventional meet cutes
Stuck in a cabin during a storm
A conniving cat and his adorable bunny sidekick
Disability rep (osteoarthritis)
Iranian rep

I related to Lucy on how insecure and lost she felt in her last year of her 20s. She was hurt by her ex-pack and didn't think she would fall in love again.

Leo, a florist beta, works next door to Lucy's tailor shop. He's been hiding his cane as he fears judgment from the girl he's crushing on.

Wilder, a grumpy fire chief alpha, rescues Lucy in a storm, but due to his condition, he takes multiple suppressants because he's worried about hurting his omega.

King, a NYC CEO alpha, invites Lucy to an auction to bid on him, after she tailors his tux last minute.

Lucy has a very unique relationship with each member of her pack, but it felt like we got pieces of the relationship for a very long time. I wanted the pack to grovel for longer after they all stood up Lucy at her craft night. I do enjoy how Lucy's best friends intervened via the newspaper's horoscopes to have the courting pack fulfill tasks to prove that they are serious about Lucy.

While there was a valid reason for the brief third-act break-up with Wilder, they got back together too quickly. In this Cozyverse, there are many sweet moments between Lucy and her pack, but the pacing of the book was slow at the start. It caught me off guard that the dominant King would let Leo be in charge, and it felt very out of character for both of them. King and Leo's budding relationship as well as everyone saying "I love you" seemed rush.

The absolute highlight is when the bunny, Blossom, joined the family. She and Felix really stole the show.

Thank you, Putnam and NetGalley, for my digital ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

A Pack for Spring just worked for me from start to finish. I was so excited to make another trip back to Starlight Grove. Lucy’s story really hit home for me. I felt her so deeply with the self-doubt and that “am I too much?” spiral, and watching her slowly realize she’s actually exactly right for the people meant for her… yeah, I ate that up. And I loved how supported she was by both her friends and her guys along the way. And the guys… Emilia really took her time making each of them feel fully developed. Leo’s sweetness and quiet insecurity, King being all gruff but clearly soft for her, Wilder carrying so much weight and trying to protect her even from himself… it all felt layered in a way I really appreciated.

This book is cozy, a little chaotic, emotional in the best way, and still brings that signature Starlight Grove magic with the town antics and Felix absolutely stole his scenes like always and we got to meet a new little animal friend. 🥰 There were definitely moments I wanted to shake everyone and yell “just talk to each other” but it made the payoff even better when everything finally clicked into place. The found family and the growth, plus the way Lucy really steps into what she wants for her life… I loved every second of it and I’m not ready to leave this world anytime soon. Very much looking forward to A Pack for Summer!

This is a Build-a-Pack, Grovel, rejected Omega, Age Gap, separate meet cutes Omegaverse Story that will have you swooning.
The third instalment in the Cozyverse by Emilia Emerson and Eliana Lee. A Pack For Spring is the second book in the series written by Emilia Emerson and it. Is. Gorgeous.
We have Age Gap, Daddy Dom, Disability Rep, inexperienced Alpha, anxiety and mental health rep, and Lucy, our Omega is so ADHD coded, and as a fellow ADHDer I felt her insecurities in my SOUL!
If you love Gilmore Girls, the Cozyverse is definitely for you, Starlight Grove is literally the OV version of Stars Hollow, with the tight nit small town community, absolutely wild side characters and crazy shenanigans... and who doesn't love a town festival every other day? Also, the mayor is a cat...
Lucy is absolutely adorable, I've loved her from the first book and I was so excited to see her get her HEA, the story of their Pack coming together is sweet, spicy and filled with absolutely impeccable grovel, I want three men absolutely falling over themselves to earn my respect!!
they overcame so much together, A Pack For Spring was an absolute joy to read, although I cried like 3 times, Wilder is my baby and no harm with ever come to him. That is all 🥰

I think me and this author don’t mesh, because as much as I wanted to like another book in this series, if I find myself skimming and thinking to myself “can this end already?,” then I have to accept that I didn’t like the book. This is the second book of hers that I read and I wasn’t vibing, so it must be a me thing.

I just could not care for anyone. And I don’t read too deeply when it comes to books like these. I know what I’m getting into… or at least I *thought* I did, but I think the book lost me too early on. Then threw me for a huge loop when King came out of nowhere lol.

Lucy was… alright. Leo was sweet but that first reason for skimping out on meeting her made me eh for him. King’s whole thing felt abrupt to me and it felt so jarring during any of his “big bad sexy man” scenes that I was jolted out of the immersion of reading (and how Lucy was in these same scenes as well.) Wilder was fine but his whole health thing was dragged out in a way with such a meh third act breakup that I just… didn’t care anymore. I felt like I didn’t get to know anyone.

It’s also “everyone has lots of problems but it’s ok” the book, which while it may be true, it just felt… shallow? Weak? Like “hey, here’s my problem” “oh darn, okay, I love you!” With how serious these problems seemed, they sure were smoothed over rather quickly. Also, something something “HR is in the room” writing.

Maybe it’s just me, but I couldn’t get immersed early on, so the book didn’t click with me. I skimmed from the halfway point to the end. Bummer.

A cozy read ; quite long book for a plot that was primarily comprised of miscommunication and insta-love.

Lucy is a quirky millennial type running a sewing spot in a small town. Her friend group was very wholesome but overall I found the amount of time spent with side characters to be a bit overwhelming when there was so much left to get to know of our main characters.

All the love interests were good partners after many many many instances of not talking about things that became breakup worthy issues.

Definitely a lot to enjoy about the general low stakes but fell flat in some areas. There were a lot of storylines that we spent a good amount of time becoming invested in for them to go nowhere in the end.

Overall , if cozy omega-verse is your vibe this would work well.

Thank you NetGalley for the arc!

4.5 ⭐️ ARC • This was SO CUTE. I love these Cozyverse omegaverse books so, so much — I even broke out the keyboard to write this review, so prepare for paragraphs.

I was really looking forward to Lucy’s book. While I definitely relate more to Summer (can’t wait to read her book & be read to filth lol), there were some elements of Lucy’s story that really hit me in the heart — I definitely related to her slight identity crisis at turning 29 & realizing your life does not look like how you pictured it would be, but coming to the comforting realization that it’s okay to be drawn down a different path even if it wasn’t what you had dreamed about.

I was so excited to see Leo come back in this one (I remember finishing “A Pack for Autumn” & saying in my review “give the boat crew their own book, they are hilarious”), and his personal growth with coming to terms with his injury was so lovely. Wilder, I just wanted to wrap him in a hug, getting to see him open up and accept love despite his fears & trauma — especially because while his fears did not go away entirely, the pack rallied & made space for what he needed. And sweet King, someone else I really want to wrap in a hug — loved seeing him choose love & community when he never had it before, and see him embraced by it in return. AND KING AND LEO. LOVE IT. I love seeing the variety in dynamics within packs!! I loved seeing them come together!!

While the men did fumble, it was lovely to see them grovel & put in the work to court Lucy (& to see how protective the town was) and I loved that Lucy got to have the difficult conversations with her family & how they saw her (even when done out of love, it can still hurt).

The spicy scenes were HOT — definitely loved the dynamics explored & the scenes & how they were approached. King, especially — I had to take a lap after a few (iykyk).

FELIX SUPREMACY. And sweet Blossom!! I love our new bunny sidekick! (And her beef with King is so funny I was cackling)

Side Note: I love that this universe has some realistic world-building re: their designations, discrimination, toxic stereotypes, etc. — it adds so much to the universe! I always appreciate that these books handle hard topics in ways that feel realistic & genuine, without becoming the character’s *whole* story ARC — and Emilia, I was crying at your acknowledgement sections, I am so glad you got to give Leo’s grandmother a softer ending.

So yes, I did, in fact, *scream* when I got the email that I was approved for this ARC, so thank you so much NetGalley and Putnam. I am definitely going to buy a physical copy once it releases & tab it up & add it to my beautiful collection!!

I cannot wait to start Summer’s book next, and I can already tell that I am going to end up writing another ridiculously long review for that one one too

A Pack For Spring - Emilia Emerson
4.5/5✨🌟

* SPOILERS *

I loved the first two books in the series but I think this might be my favorite in the series so far. Lucy, Leo, King and Wilder won my heart the further I got along with their pack. I’m such a sucker for an omegaverse but even more when at least two of the guys are into one another.

I really love how Emilia goes with the disability rep because she does so good with characters with them. I’m a sucker for characters that struggle and finally let the people that care about them, in.

Also, can we just talk about Blossom? She’s the new addition to the town and I just love how she’s sweet to everyone but King. Although, towards the end of the book, she’s a little better. Although, that strawberry scene had me dying with laughter.

I just love how the guys come up with a plan to get their girl when they hurt her and even get her friends to help them out.

When Wilder gets his head where it shouldn’t belong with Lucy’s determination, I was here for it. That primal play scene… so hot!

This book had me in my feels, especially Leo. He definitely took priority for me and man, when he and a certain alpha finally kiss, I was jumping for joy. I felt so bad for Lucy because her exes definitely did a number on her. These guys gave her the confidence that she deserved and needed.

I really loved how these alphas and beta were so good to their omega and each other.

I cannot wait to read the next book and can’t wait to see what shenanigans Felix and maybe Blossom will be up to.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.
