This was a touching and slightly heartbreaking romance. The shifter part isn't a big focus. It's the changes, attitudes, family, and choices. A worthy read.

Ronan and Lia. Ronan is her brother, Dominic’s, best friend. When she always sees Ronan he takes her breath away. He’s the Alpha of his pack. And he’s player who doesn’t believe in mates and love. And he treats he like a sister. Something she doesn’t want to be. She’s about to leave for college so she pours out her heart to him and he says that’s cute. Finally 18 and she and her friend, Lucian return from a party and she goes home to hear her father talking to an Elder about bartering her off to an old alpha before she got older. WTF. Her father said she would not be going to school she will fulfill her purpose. She ran from the house. If she was going to be sold then she was going to have a say in who her first was. She went to Ronan. She kissed him he kissed back. He took her like the player is was. They fell asleep. Her wolf whispered mate. His words about marriage being political came back to her and she left. Would he care? Her brother was sending her away as not to have their father trap her. So her new life has began. Freshman year and there’s two pink lines. Her brother visits and Caelan is a few months old. Uncle Dom. She’s an intern in law and Caelan is five. Then she got the phone call that shattered her world. Her brother, in a coma, Ronan with him. Returned to the pack. Left Caelan with Lucian. The company investors needed to see that the packs were still one. The stock was plummeting. The solution, show the investors the packs are still united. Ronan gets what he wants a political marriage, one of unity.
This is a great read. Full of testosterone fueled wolf elders. A bitter ex. A marriage built on politics but full of feelings denied. A son revealed and an alpha who’s not letting his family go. Chaotic events that try to tear the packs apart and two wolves married and having to come together to keep everything from crumbling. Love doesn’t make you weak it makes you stronger than you ever imagined.
Well written with amazing charecters all around and a very mature adorable five year old.

loved it !! love Ronan and Lia... this is their story... a fast paced drama... he was her first everything and then, she ran away... and stayed away until, her brother was in a coma, she came back and there he was waiting , just waiting... so good !!!.

I like this book really well and I like the characters absolutely fell in love, and I like that the alpha over the years changes his attitude and admits that he was wrong.

Too many errors
I liked the first third of this story, but then came all of the errors. It was as if it was written half by a human and half by AI or the author wrote it in pieces but forgot what they put where, especially the ending.
