I thought it was just a mistake with a handsome stranger— until I woke up in my stepbrother’s bed. Worse? I carried his baby when I ran from home.
That night, I lost My mate bond. My dignity. My father. My mother? She traded me like a bargaining chip. To my stepbrother. The same Alpha who called me a gold-digger and rejected me in front of the pack.
But the point No one knew I was carrying his child. So I vanished. Changed my name. Raised my son in secret. Now fate has flipped the board. and one contract just put him right under my heel. As the new VP, I hold the contract he wants.
Possible spoilers ahead. This was a predictable rejected mates/shifter book. It’s not terrible, but I probably wouldn’t read it again.
h’s mom is a gold digger. h doesn’t know who her real dad is. h’s Mom marries an alpha and that alpha has a son, H. Naturally, H doesn’t like h or her mom. He’s attracted to h, but he avoids her because he assumes she’s a gold digger, too. H overhears h’s mom on the phone talking about how h was going to seduce him.
There is a party one night, and H drinks the wine. He was drugged. h finds him in the hallway struggling so she helps him to his room. H starts telling her how much he wants her and how beautiful she is. They have smex. h is a V and H admits it’s his first, too. I guess at some point, he gets word his dad is sick, so he leaves the room. 🤷♀️ h wakes up alone and leaves the room. (This is where I got confused because H doesn’t remember being with h. Not sure how he left the room without realizing she was there)
Anyway, H’s dad is sick.
In this world, they have a mate ceremony and find their mates by cutting their palm and the same wound will appear on their mate. H and h match. 🤪🤪 Ohhhh boy does H get mad. He’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, so he rejects her immediately. He says some nasty things to her.
Later on that night, H’s dad dies. The will is read and h’s mom got NOTHING. She is big mad. H throws them both out (h knows none of this because she’s running in the woods after being rejected. She also stops to get a pregnancy test) When h comes back, mom and h have a huge argument and her mom hits her. h finds out she’s pregnant and leaves with the bare minimum. She’s been saving her money for a while. h’s mom leaves in a different car after picking the house clean of the valuables 😂
This is where the story went into “that’s mighty convenient” mode. h is in a new city and just randomly saved a baby- which led her to her bio dad and her brother. Her dad and brother are billionaires of some tech company.
Now it’s 7 years later. h is the VP of that tech company and her brother is CEO. h has a 6 year old son. From H’s POV- it’s mentioned he’s semi looked for h over the years. We know he watched a video from the night h and her mom left and he was left questioning if h really was involved with her mother’s schemes.
Naturally, H and h reunite because their companies have to work together. H eventually sees the 6 year old, who happens to look just like him, but he doesn’t remember ever being with h. He’s so confused. He feels a deep connection to the boy.
H and h go back and forth. Neither communicate with each other, they just assume. h keeps experiencing her body betraying her. 🤪 H grovels…..some.
The villain was clear from chapter 1. Both MCs start to learn all the secrets and around that time, H discovers the kid is his. Then the kid is kidnapped. 🙃🙃🙃🙃 (it’s not a shifter book unless somebody is kidnapped lol) That’s when h’s mom reveals her motive for doing all this (which was also clear from chapter 1) H is injured during the showdown and he’s in a coma for a few days. He wakes then it’s HEA.
He was drugged, she thought he was drunk. So drunk might I add that he couldn't get in his hotel room and she had to help him. So naturally that means she should sleep with him.... when he's quite clearly not in any state to...
If you can get past that then the writing is just bad, I'm almost sure it's got to be AI. The dialogue is cringy and so overdone, everything is over explained.

The crush leads to a one-night stand which results in pregnancy. The FMCs mother is a gold-digger and once the MMC finds this out he believes the FMC to be one as well. This leads to his rejection of her once he finds out that they are fated mates. The FMC leaves the pack.
The story then continues in the future. The FMC is the CEO of a major tech company and the MMC has to work with her. Secrets are revealed. True intentions are revealed. Someone is trying to kill them both. But in the end, there is a HEA.
Review: I have read several books by this author. I have liked some and not liked others. I enjoyed this book. The premise was a little bit of the same for this type of book, but it was carried out in a way that made you want to finish reading. I liked that the FMC was surrounded by people who had her back. I liked that she didn't just give into the MMC when they were reunited. I also enjoyed the twists, turns and surprises.

Rejected by My Stepbrother Alpha begins the Billionaire Shifter Club series with Ivy’s and Asher’s tumultuous relationship. Ivy’s mother married Asher’s father, which technically makes them related, yet not really. She’s always been attracted to Asher, perhaps feeling the mate bond much sooner than he did. Asher has always acted cool, almost indifferent to Ivy, mainly because he suspects her of being in league with her gold-digging mother. Yet, along with the disdain he feels is also an attraction that he’ll try to ignore, unsuccessfully.
When they are slated to be wed during a mating ceremony, Asher will let his anger loose as he rejects Ivy, his fated mate, in front of their entire pack. Devastated, Ivy will run away, carrying a secret that could have given them everything she’d dreamed of with the man she loves. Seven years later, fate will bring them together again, and the passion and the danger they face will change lives forever.
I always love getting started on a new series, and I so enjoyed Rejected by My Stepbrother Alpha by Flora R. Leigh. It’s a well-written, passionate, intriguing shifter romance filled with misconceptions, threats, danger, and a love that cannot be denied. If you love a shifter romance that keeps you on edge waiting for what happens next, a couple who obviously belong together, and a few twists to keep things interesting, then you’d love Ivy and Asher’s story.

Let me tell you—Rejected by My Stepbrother Alpha hit every single button I didn’t even know I had. If you’re into secret babies, sizzling tension, rejection-to-revenge, and second chances laced with claws and growls... whew, buckle in. This wasn’t just a shifter romance. It was me, cheering on a heroine who got burned, ran hard, raised her baby in secret, and came back swinging with a power suit, a new title, and a contract that put her arrogant, emotionally constipated, alpha stepbrother exactly where he left her—on his knees. The opening had my jaw on the floor—accidental heat, the shock of waking up in his bed, the heartbreak of being called a gold-digger in front of everyone. Oof. I was ready to slash tires. But what made this story stick with me was the glow-up. She didn’t just survive—she thrived. Quiet power, maternal fierceness, a brain sharp enough to cut glass, and just the right amount of sass when fate threw them back together. And let’s talk about him. The stepbrother alpha who let his pride wreck everything? Yeah... he may be all brooding dominance and pack politics now, but the grovel is glorious. His realization, his possessiveness, the way he starts to see her again? I devoured it. The pacing? Perfection. The heat? Enough to fog up my Kindle. The emotional payoff? Chef’s kiss. And the ending left me so satisfied I wanted to howl. Flora R. Leigh, you’ve done it again. I came for the drama and stayed for the redemption, the baby claws, and the absolute triumph of a heroine who refused to stay broken. I’m hooked—and I’ll be first in line for Book 2.
A great story full of fated mates, mistrust, rejection, romance, misunderstandings, betrayal, second chances and love, with a wonderfully strong willed FMC who character really grows in strength throughout the story, a cautious Alpha MMC, a wonderfully sweet seven-year-old, some great twists (both expected and unpredicted) and a HEA.
Ivy had joined Asher's pack when his father married her mother, though he'd never trusted her thinking she was a gold digger like her mum. But after a gala celebration for his dad she helps him and they end up having a one night stand, though he ignores her afterwards. When they discover they're fated mates at a celebration weeks later she's delighted until he rejects her and she leaves to find a new life.
Seven years later they find themselves needing to work together to win a project for the alpha king. Ivy is now in a new pack and is cautious to trust Asher, with the project, her heart and a secret she's kept for seven years who has the same hair as Asher.

Brings you in right from the start. Stepbrother, check. Fated Mates, check. Villain's one with the same blood of our heroine, who might be a wolf but she's all momma bear when her baby is in trouble. Emotional, check. Our hero, Asher, has the right heart but his feelings for his stepsister turn fated mate is soiled due to his stepmother's evilness and thirst for greed, he didnt know if Ivy was working with her mother to drain his father and him of everything or she was her own person and pawn with her mother, so the rejection and him not knowing he was drugged and missed a night with Ivy, hurt Ivy. We do ever a HEA 6 months down the road for Ivy and Asher...
Asher Callahan, Heir Alpha to Bloodmoon Pack & tech business, only son to Russell Callahan, Asher's mom passed away early in his young life.

You’re at a fancy gala, wearing your best dress, and the guy you’ve secretly been crushing on forever finally notices you… except plot twist—he’s your stepbrother, AND the Alpha heir, AND he ends up humiliating you in front of literally everyone. Oh, and he rejects you even though you’re his fated mate. Talk about emotional carnage. 🫠 So what does Ivy do? She disappears, reinvents herself, and comes back seven years later as a total boss—VP of a company, stronger, fiercer, and not here for Asher’s nonsense. Except… surprise! She’s also hiding a BIG secret: his kid. 👀🔥
Think Dynasty meets Twilight but with corporate warfare, shifter drama, and a second-chance romance that’ll have you screaming at your Kindle.
This book was great, it was filled with so much angst and heartbreak for all the main characters, but particularly for the FMC Elena. It was an action packed and empowering tale that not only showcased the growing love between Samuel and Elena but also the strength and determination Elena had in not only surviving but also thriving after enduring so much pain. There was certainly a satisfying grovel as Samuel clearly regretted his past actions and was dedicated to fixing his mistakes and clearly devoted to both Elena and their child. Fantastic read for anyone who loves all things shifters, fated mates and redemption and forgiveness after rejection.
The story was fairly weak. I figured out who the bad guys were and (mostly) what they were up to early in the story. Bad guys popping in doing bad things. No effective security in place. Bad guys hire locals via internet to do illegal things. No trail. Alpha labeled an alpha but seems to have no special skills. Lots of spinning of wheels causing plot to just sit. Frustrating. I started to skim just to confirm who the bad guys were. When I read details, I got frustrated with the weakness of the plot.
as a shifter romance this was okay... the storyline could have been better, there was a lot of repetitive narrative that didn't have to happen. ivy and Asher have very poor communication from the start and that was what hindered their relationship, once they found each other again there was no grovel, it just got swept to the side and 'forgotten' about. I was hoping that ivy was going to make Asher suffer at least a little bit for what he had done but there wasn't any of that.
I will say this has a wattpad feel to it rather than a ku story but it was okay..

I so enjoy this book! This is my first time reading this author and I highly recommend. I’m not sure if this series has overlapping characters or not. I hope so as those are my favorite type of series books. Either way, I’m sure the rest of the series will be just as enjoyable. I can’t wait to get started on the next book. Start reading. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
Sometimes I think my standards have gotten too low with books. Then I read this book and I actually think I’m good. This book was pretty bad start to finish- so many writing, grammar, and continuity errors that made the story confusing. Very unoriginal, uninspired plot. The dialogue- it’s giving AI. Read something else.
The book description is kinda off. There is no “ handsome stranger”. FMC knew exactly who he was/who she was in bed with. Her mother did not trade her “like a bargaining chip” to her stepbrother. Did her mother want her to get with the stepbrother for her own gain? Yes, she did, but there was no trade.
It's been a while since I've read much paranormal but decided to revisit. This storyline was quite interesting overall, with a few twists, and it kept my interest. The characters were appealing but were not as carasmatic as they could have been. Overall a good read.
I think this was just a me thing, I got a little bored as I found I predicted the outcome right away. Decent characters and story though, but I dragged when finishing it. Others may really enjoy it though.
Quick and predictable… My favorite part was Asher being all jealous about Damien. I couldn’t get over Ivy or Asher and the pain they caused each other. Meanwhile, Ivy and Asher just swept it under the rug.
What a sweet story with good pacing. Ivy, Asher, and Adrian brought me joy on their journey. I am a sucker for missing front teeth on adorable shifter kiddos. It was a charming touch.
This was actually a really good storyline not to much drag on like many other books. The writers style got mildly confusing leaving out a few how they got there (s) but it was good
Terrible. Predictable plot, repetitive action, and dull dialogue. I gave up and skim read at 60% and missed nothing. Even the spice is boring and cliche. Reads like AI wrote this or by an author who doesn’t read spicy books.
I loved the the characters and the storyline. Lucky for me I can skip all the sex pages. I like when the books have a story and leave the sex to my imagination. Get the books and leave your reviews
I enjoyed the book and I thought the story line was well thought out butt left some blanks I would have liked info on but still enjoyed the book and would recommend it to others.
