He was forged in the fire of the streets. She was raised in the glow of expectation. Neither expected the other to feel like home.
In Grantview Hills, a city divided by class, code, and legacy, November Sinclair walks the fine line between perfection and rebellion. As one of the elite from Belcourt Hills, her life is carefully curated by her father—until she crosses paths with Kyrie “Haze” Walker, self-made mechanic and ex street racer, from Briarwood with a complicated past and a crew that moves like family.
From the moment they meet, everything shifts.
Their chemistry is magnetic. Their connection, undeniable. Love between two people from opposite worlds should never come so easy. But with family pressures mounting, life obligations, and reputations on the line, November and Kyrie are forced to ask themselves how far they’re willing to go to protect what they’ve found.
In a city built on appearances and power, what happens when the one thing you can’t control is the one person who leaves you mesmerized?
(3.5⭐️) A nice and easy love story that moved very quickly. November and Kyrie had an instant attraction and strong chemistry. I liked the strong friend & sibling relationships and I think the author gave us enough breadcrumbs to set up future stories. I do feel like the climax towards the end felt a bit anticlimactic. There was a conflict/battle of wills between November and someone close to her that stretched through most of the book and when we got to the confrontation it resolved super quickly. I thought the conflict was the opportunity for November to truly stand up for herself and I don’t think she got the opportunity to do that because the other party folded quickly.
As a personal peeve, there were just a tad too many pop culture/tiktok references for my liking. Also some incorrect word usage, missing words, or duplicate words that made me have to reread sentences sometimes.
This was my first read by this author though and I’d definitely read more
I liked the storyline but I wish the author explored the MMC and FMC more. Once they had sex the first time it was like all they did was have sex. I would have liked to see how their relationship developed rather than time just pass and then they’re in love. It’s not reread worthy but I didn’t hate it.
I absolutely loved Kyrie and November 🥰 their chemistry was everything and the spice 🥵!! Tash girl you did it again and I can’t wait to read more. Hopefully December’s story next 👀
My first time reading this author and I am happy I gave it a chance. I don’t know if it was the story in whole or the small things that made me smile. It could have been “should’ve had a V8” or it could have been the “push the button”. Can’t wait to read more!
I loved Kyrie & November. It’s the soft, black, easy love for me. This book showed that you should always follow your heart when it comes to choosing the person you want to be with & that it’s okay to have easy love. These fell for each other kinda quick but it was beautiful at the same time. I loved this book.
I thoroughly loved and enjoyed Ky and Novi❤️ I loved how they loved and poured into one another!! #couplegoals. Can't wait to get updates on them in future books. Also, looking forward to reading about the rest of the crew.
It honestly wasn’t a bad story it was just very predictable and a little shallow. It was an easy, pretty drama free, love story.
However I do think it was a tad TOO easy, on the writer. I feel as though there were details introduced in the story that could have had more depth, how they met fell completely to the wayside even though it was introduced in a pretty detailed way. I think it was a bit of a hole in the story and should have been properly wrapped up before progressing through the story. Also the conflict with the FMC and her family seemed to be unnecessary by the end of the book because it was a seamless resolution.
I’m also noticing a pattern in the romance world.. the sex.. it’s almost like as soon as they cross the line there’s no more ACTUAL romance it’s just them humping constantly. How they almost in love and he didn’t know she was a triplet?? Didn’t know anything about her parents but they lay down every time they see each other and spend every moment together. I really just wanted more. More character development. More depth to their love. Something.
This truly felt like a copy and paste book from every other black romance.
Also too much pop culture references. Leave the real world out of it, please.
This is the first urban romance I’ve read in a while and I really enjoyed it. Kyrie and November story was so such a feel good story that I found myself smiling the entire time. Tash beautifully captured ‘love at first sight’ in a way that wasn’t cringy. That man entire energy shifted before he even looked up at her, he just felt her and from there it was a wrap 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Definitely adding this to my list of comfort reads 💜
Love me some Kyrie. He is the epitome of a sweet thug.
November was his everything. He would burn the world down for her. Oh Clayton didn't have a snowball's chance in hell. I'm glad that she knew it also. I was hoping we would get to see Franklen get his ass whipped because of the way he treats December, but I guess that's another story.
Anyway, can't wait for December and January's book.
I loved reading Kyrie and November as a reader and not the writer who wrote it.
Tash this is your regular degular self Tasheka. As I was before. I am so so proud of you for continuing to push and dropping three books in the last year. Keep growing. Keep loving. Keep cosplaying as an author 🤎
Enjoyed the book. First book by the author and I enjoyed it. I hope there will be a book about December next because we need it. November and Kyrie were a good story. I am glad November learned to put her foot down and chose what she wanted instead of what everyone else wanted for her. Good read would recommend
