A mysterious vigilante meets Scheherazade in high-tech Ancient Atlantis, set against the backdrop of an impending global apocalypse.

On the last day of Atlantis,
When it sank beneath the waters,
Sons and Daughters of Atlantis
Sailed their ships toward the stars.

Earth, 10,504 B.C.E.

A deadly asteroid sent by alien gods is about to strike Ancient Atlantis.

In the high-tech Imperial capital, Poseidon, the decadent ruling elites rush to build ark-ships to flee to the stars, leaving the impoverished masses to perish when the Sky Rock hits—with one exception. The Imperial Kassiopei Dynasty and the noble Great Houses hold Service Competitions to pick those best qualified to serve them.

Street-smart sixteen-year-old Semmi, fired from her night shift job at an industrial warehouse, witnesses a mysterious vigilante known as the Man in the Niktos Cloak and accidentally discovers his impossible secret identity.

Powerful nobleman by day—deadly vigilante by night—and the anonymous star of the most popular and hottest adult drama on Atlantean video, Benaten Bisfuri is an irresistible man of many contradictions.

To keep his secrets, and keep her quiet, Benaten must hire Semmi to work for him. Desperate for employment, and frightened for her family, she must accept the job. Soon, she's embroiled in Imperial Court politics and a complex plot to save the people who will be left behind—all while competing in the brutal Service Competitions to earn a coveted spot on an ark-ship. She also finds her fate entwined with the uncanny Imperial Princess Arlenari who just might hold the key to everyone's salvation.

Before the Sky Rock strikes Earth—bringing about the Great Flood, reprising an Ice Age, and changing the face of the planet forever—Semmi must discover her own abilities to win a place for herself and her loved ones.

A place on the Ark.

It’s an interesting start to the new series…however, as a long-time and big fan of TAG series, this book was a bit slow and less exciting until the end. I’ve read TAG many (many) times. I’m looking forward to the next book as always, but I’m not sure I’m as likely to re-read this book. Some scenes and descriptions felt overdone. Usually I can’t pull myself away from the story but I took a lot of breaks with this one.

Eos, the first book in the Dawn of the Atlantis Grail series, a new prequel series to The Atlantis Grail, brings us the story of Ancient Atlantis before fleeing the Earth. If you haven't read the original series, you can 100% read this one and still understand everything. Vera Nazarian writes with an insane level of detail and world-building (that I happen to love!), so you won't be missing any information or have any confusion whatsoever. That being said, I also highly recommend the original as its been one of my all-time favorite series.

This series brings us the story of Semirameos, or Semmi, who is poor and desperate for a way off the planet. She must use everything at her disposal to save herself and her little brother Uru.

I loved a lot about this book. The worldbuilding, which Vera never disappoints with, being the main. I liked that we did a deep dive into life for the everyday Atlanteans. The original series focused a lot on the Imperial Kassiopei, so it was interesting to find out more about the dynamics of the Lords and regular people that serve them in this book. Furthermore, I loved the focus on Pegasai.

The Man in the Niktos Cloak was a well rounded MMC, and I can't wait to see more of his story. We learn a lot about his past and what he plans for the future.

I'm a sucker for a sloooooooow burn, and Vera is so good at them. One thing I always appreciate about this world is that the main characters have a very long, very natural progression from strangers to in-love. No insta-love, just mutual compassion and some pining.

My main critique is that because I have consumed the Atlantis Grail series so many times, I see way too many similarities in the FMCs. Semmi and Gwen share many character traits.
• Semmi is not educated, but she's mature, as she's had to help her family survive by maintaining jobs most of her life.
• Gwen is extremely educated, but she's not as mature, more high-schooly due to being boy-obsessed.
• They both are hot headed and loud-mouthed, shy when it comes to relationships, and focused on saving their siblings. They have clever solutions to problems, and somehow charms their way into all facets of high society. Basically, I felt like I was reading the same character in an uneducated font. That being said, I do think Semmi's maturity makes her a bit better than Gwen, in my opinion. However, Gwen has the more interesting plot when comparing book 1 to book 1.

Another small critique, I love worldbuilding, but I feel like this book was extremely long, with not a lot going on. Almost like a prequel to the prequel. I imagine the excitement will pick up further in the series, but the trials weren't as interesting as the original, and many scenes felt long and unnecessary (party entrance introductions, the Man in the Niktos Cloak filming, market shopping, and repetition in public transportation scenes to name some off the top of my head). Could have done with some editing down or an increase in pacing, as I don't think many non-TOG fans could get through all 726 pages.

All that being said, I still loved this book. Vera once again transported us into the Atlantean world, and I'm thoroughly invested in Semmi's future.

Im Atlantean sen-i-senet
will always be my favorite people!

Feels like a regurgitation of the original Atlantic grail series. It’s ok but I’m not dying for the next part like I was the original. I feel like I already know how this series is gonna go.

Oh my god what a book!
If I could give this more than five stars I would!!

I absolutely LOVE Vera's writing, so when I came across this gem on netgalley I clicked the request button so fast that once I was approved I just wanted to savour it.😂

This was a book that I took my time with and cherished for a few reasons:
A) I knew it was going to be amazing after having read her original series The Atlantis Grail.
B)The world building is so intricately detailed it feels real and just so diverse. The characters feel genuine and are written about flawlessly.
C) The writing is exquisite.
D) I didn't want it to end!
E) I also know book 2 isn't out yet and now I really need it to be🤣

🌊On the the last day of Atlantis,
When it sank beneath the waters,
Sons and Daughters of Atlantis
Sailed their ships towards the stars.🌊

EOS Dawn Of The Atlantis Grail is the first book in a prequel series. It takes us back to the beginning when Atlantis was here on Earth. Before they had to fly to the stars to avoid the devastation from an asteroid sent by alien gods.
In this stunning prequel we meet Semmi the FMC who gets fired from working in the mushroom factory and on the way home spots Poseidon's mysterious vigilante; the man in the Niktos Cloak.

After discovering that the vigilante is none other than Benaten Bisfuri our MMC, he hires Semmi after she arrives at his door with a basket of her grandmother's EOS pies. From there Semmi begins to find herself as she braves imperial court politics all while trying to get herself and her 7 year old brother Urumer, a place on the Ark by competing in the Service Competitions.

I can't wait to continue reading this series.
EOS is out now!

Eos is such a treat for anyone who loves getting completely lost in another world. Vera Nazarian takes us back to Atlantis, but this time through the eyes of Semmi, a girl just trying to protect her little brother and survive in a society that feels stacked against her. Right from the start you can feel the stakes, and it only pulls you in deeper as her path crosses with the mysterious Man in the Niktos Cloak. He’s the kind of character you can’t stop thinking about, and watching their stories slowly intertwine is so satisfying.

What I really loved was seeing everyday life in Atlantis. The original series focused a lot on the Imperial elite, but here we get to explore the struggles, hopes, and hidden talents of people just trying to make it through. It makes the world feel alive in a totally different way, and the attention to detail is incredible. Add in Pegasus lore, court intrigue, and the looming disaster hanging over Atlantis, and it’s impossible not to keep turning the pages.

And of course, Vera does romance like no one else. The slow burn is everything. No insta-love, just a steady, natural build with real chemistry that makes you root for the characters all the way.

Eos is fast-paced, emotional, and packed with stunning world-building. Whether you’ve read The Atlantis Grail or are brand new to this universe, you can jump right in and enjoy it. I had so much fun with this one and can’t wait to see where the series goes next.

Thank you to Net Galley and Vera for the free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Amazing! This is the first (not counting Aeson Blue) in the prequel series to The Atlantis Grail books (TAG). That series of books, along with Aeson Blue and Aeson Black, I have read or listened to on audiobooks at least once a year for the last several years. Eos fits perfectly in the series and I don’t know how I will wait for the next books to be published. Please, Vera Nazarian, don’t make me wait too long. I’m almost 70 now and I want to savor every single word.

Eos, the Atlantean word for morning, or a shortened name for the FMC, Semirameos, introduces us to Semmi and her family in the time immediately prior to the meteor strike of Earth. The family lives in a time of technological wonders and prosperity for some elites, but they are impoverished and every family member, including her 7 year old brother, Uru, must work to survive. Semmi has much native intelligence, vs education, imagination and boldness which both plague her and lead her into better employment and the unlikely friendship of the imperial princess, Arlenari and a sentient being, a Pegasus.

This book is a genre bender…part sci fi, part history, part fantasy, part coming of age, and a dab of a budding romance. I can’t wait to see what the next books bring. This is indeed a worthy addition to the TAG collection.

What hole have I been living in, that I haven’t heard of Vera Nazarian? Check out her latest novel, Eos, which is the first in a prequel series to the Atlantis Grail series. Eos follows Semmi, our courageous, clumsy, and irresistibly relatable heroine, as she fights to find a way to save her family from an impending end-of-the-world threat from the gods. While the story may take the usual twists and turns you would expect from a story like this; danger, brave men saving the day, evil characters lurking in the shadows and in broad daylight; there are many other facets to this story that you just won’t see coming. Kind and caring to those around her, Semmi is quick to jump to action while also being humble enough to except help when needed. She quickly becomes someone you can relate to, helping to draw us into her world and all the chaos that unfolds.

While set on Earth, Semmi’s world is in Ancient Atlantis, with the city set up in favour of the elite though fate still favours those bold or brave enough to skirt the rules. Moving through the various areas of the city, from the most elite to the lowest and humblest areas, Semmi navigates all in her quest for a path to freedom.

Fantasy world-building at its finest. I was excited to see a new book by Vera Nazarian after thoroughly enjoying The Atlantis Grail series starting with Qualify. The connection to that series is also really cool to see, and I think either series could be read first. Eos is full of rich details of an incredible world and a compelling plot it really pulls you in.

What to know before reading: This series read more adult to me than The Atlantis Grail series. Mentioned in the description, one of the plot points is a noble man who runs an OnlyFans type show. I didn't fully understand that's what is was from the description so that may be helpful to note. If this book were a movie, it would likely be rated R, maybe PG-13 if the intimate scenes weren't viewable. The Atlantis Grail read more YA. So if you like YA more maybe start there.

What I liked: Vera's heroines are plucky, quirky in the most relatable way possible and fascinating. Combine that with world building that makes you feel like you're living in another world and you've got a good book.

Spice: 2/5 🌶️, OnlyFans type show with description but not super detailed
Rating: 3.75-4

Eos" is not just the dawn of a new series; it's the beginning of the end, and honestly, you'd be a complete idiot to miss it.
🚀 Pacing
Buckle up. The story zips along at breakneck speed, just like that asteroid. There's never a dull moment, keeping you hooked from start to finish.
🤝 Characters
Meet Semmi: part street urchin, part genius, all sass. She’s navigating a world that's literally ending, making her a hero you can actually root for.
☄️ Plot
A giant asteroid is coming, and the rich people are leaving. It’s a classic disaster movie, but with more political intrigue and a teenager trying to outsmart everyone.
🌊 World-building
Forget everything you know about Atlantis. Nazarian makes it a high-tech, class-divided society on the brink of apocalypse. It's a fresh take that feels both ancient and futuristic.
💥 Themes
This book asks, "When the world is ending, what's worth fighting for?" It explores hope, survival, and the fight for justice when the deck is stacked against you.
Huge thanks to Netgalley, publisher and author for the copy! My only regret is that I can't read it for the first time again."

I was a huge fan of the TAG series… so obviously I was very excited for the first book of the prequel series. But if you’re looking for answers, or the same format as other TAG books, don’t. You’ll be hugely disappointed.

It took me 2.5 months to read this book for a reason. I really struggled to push through. But I really wanted to give it my all. This is the prequel after all. I kept telling myself that it’ll get better, that something will come out of this. But alas, no.

The only thing I found in this book was recycled material from previous books, plot holes, and non-relatable characters. Not a lot of background stories. A lot of useless information, a lot of descriptions for things we’ve learned about in other books in the series. I would have liked to know more about other characters and less about things that didn’t matter in the end.

All this for 2 chapters that really mattered.

Not worth your time.

I really hope Dea will be better because if not, I’m afraid this will be the end of my fandom of the TAG series.

Having read The Atlantis Grail series previously, I was so happy to see a prequel series and had to request this instantly. Being at the start of this journey and seeing life before was a dream. This author writes with such detail that you are fully immersed in the day to day of the characters. I was concerned as its new characters, but very quickly came to be as connected and obsessed with them as with the other series. I love the family dynamics, exploration of class and the unique magic this author brings to all her work. The plot is expansive and built up to high stakes action. The romance subplot is slow-burn and creeps up on you in the best way. I devoured this large book in two days. Cannot wait for more. If you like high-stakes, immersive worlds and fleshed out characters then this is a fantasy for you. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy. This is a voluntary review of my own thoughts.

I hadn't heard of the Atlantis Grail, but picked this up on Kobo unlimited.

I really liked it for the most part - good story, good characters, interesting world. Semmi. the MFC was smart and driven to save her family. The Man in the Niktos Cloak, a vigilante who becomes her employer, is the MMC. I liked both of them and want to read the next story.

I didn't like some inconsistencies in the world - it seemed like they has some high tech devices but some things were more bronze age. Something I found very irritating is that while the book was written in English, there were a few made-up words used that I would rather have just seen an English word for. For example, hoohvak seems to mean idiot, foolish, stupid, ridiculous, ignorant, depending on the context. I would rather the appropriate English word was used so we didn't have to try to figure out what it means each time. There were several words like this through the book.

5 ⭐️ start to a new series in the Atlantis Grail World

What happened in Atlantis on ancient earth when the golden gods unleashed the great sky rock millennia in the past? It’s time to fill in the story and meet the instrumental players as Vera starts the Dawn of the Atlantis Grail prequel series.
An in-depth world of the poor and rich is built as the race for places on the star ships begins. Semmi a factory worker helping to support her family has chance encounters with a mysterious cloaked man and their paths become entwined. New talents develop and Semmi is no longer chopping mushrooms but is a storyteller to Lords and Ladies of the court. Can she make the most of her new situation and gain a place on the journey away from a doomed Earth?
The action keeps apace for the entire book and leaves you asking what’s next!

The End is Near!

This is a good start to a fascinating series. The protagonist is likable and spunky. Descriptions are vivid and evocative. The city of Poseidon, its culture, and its people feel very tangible as we're submerged in their everyday lives and the impending cataclysm hovering over them all. Numerous teasers of further secrets to be discovered are scattered throughout, and a few are exposed in this first volume.

There were a couple of minor continuity issues toward the end of the long novel that proved too jarring to give this 5 stars. Hopefully, those will be corrected, and future readers can wallow in this interesting world and enjoy it to the fullest.

Overall it was a fun and interesting read!

Another winner!

Vera adds another awesome Atlantis Grail book to her collection. This story was so interesting! A little different from the first 4 Atlantis Grail series books because it takes place thousands of years in the past. I enjoyed reading it so much. I couldn't wait to find out how it ended, and was disappointed that I was done. Lol.
To understand the basis for this book, it's best to read the 4 Atlantis Grail books starting with Qualify. I've reread them many times over; they are THAT GOOD!

I took my time to enjoy it (I already knew the story, as the author published each new chapter first on Patreon and Ream) – and I liked it very much, thank you. It got anything: humor, thrill, the beginning of a romance, action ...
Although this book can be read as a standalone novel, it is definitely recommended to read the “The Atlantis Grail” series (Qualify, Compete, Win, Survive) first. Otherwise, you will miss some important connections (and also some of the fun).

Amazing book

In the background of an impending asteroid strike, Semmi and her family find themselves involved with a stranger who holds many mysteries. Semmi is also not who she seems but it takes a good deal of time in the book to find out. The last portion of the book goes at breakneck speed and leaves one with a great cliffhanger setting up for the next book in the series, Dea.

Another amazing story

Another amazing story that left me waiting for the next book.
Most stories become boring as the books pile up. Not the case with Mrs. Nazarian's ones. Her amazing imagination brings to life a world that is worth exploring book after book and keeps you hooked until the end.
Huge fan.
Thank you.
