"Crescent Soul" by Jessa Rok is a captivating and thrilling debut novel, packed to the brim with unexpected twists.
The story follows Mac, a baby witch starting a new life in Moon Bay with a family full of secrets. Not quite fitting into what most would call normal, Mac spends her days helping lost souls, catching glimpses of the past, present, and future, and practicing what little Wicca she learned from her beloved aunt Niky.
After Niky’s passing—and her mysterious disappearance from the afterworld—Mac starts noticing a string of strange deaths that pull her deeper into a chilling mystery. As she investigates, she’s also wrestling with whether or not to tell her two closest friends her biggest secret. Just as she starts to piece things together, everything takes a dangerous turn.
Crescent Soul, Jessa Rok’s debut, is a must-read for anyone who loves supernatural thrillers with emotional depth, eerie vibes, and twists that’ll keep you up way past your bedtime. God knows, I did!

This is a great YA novel. The supernatural parts were just spooky enough- and the knowledge and research placed behind the Wiccan aspect was great. If you enjoy witches, covens and supernatural things you will enjoy this book!
I found it suspenseful and easy to follow. Very descriptive when it came to the supernatural parts which was great!
