I was robbed of the World Drivers’ Championship last year, but this season I’m coming back for revenge. There’s nothing that will stop me from reaching my goal.
Until I meet her again.
The woman who left my bed in Las Vegas without a word and never returned. On our second encounter, she actively avoids me. That only pisses me off, which causes me to find out what she’s trying to hide.
And then I discover her secret.
I’m going to be a father.
Slowly, as I unravel the puzzle to Alyssia’s heart, I fall harder than I ever imagined. My single focus on winning races evolves to winning her heart.
What she’ll learn about me is that once I want something–whether it’s on the track or in real life– there’s only one way I know how to Flat Out.
Travis is an F1 racer and he's part of the Townsend Family, though this one is the beginning of a new series. I loved the peak into this sport and it isn't one that I've read many romances set around.
Travis is very dedicated to his work and he is determined to get the championship this year. He wants nothing to distract him. But then he has a One Night Stand with Alyssia in Vegas and he can't get her out of his head.
Alyssia can't get Travis out of her head either. Their passionate night left her with a sweet little bun in the oven and she doesn't know what to do about it. Shen she loses her job, she's working a catering gig at an event that Travis happens to be at.
It isn't long before Travis and Alyssia are now in Monaco, where Travis is based out of, and they are trying to make things work for thies impending child. Family opinions, racing pressures, past trauma, and the spark of love all fight for attention.
I had a really good time with this one. I honestly think it's one of my faves from this author. I loved how protective and possessive Travis was, but he also was a little more chill than some of his family members. He really wanted to respect Alyssia and help her feel safe and comfortable. Their romance was also a slow burn after that ONS. Which was smart.
Narrated in dual style by Wesleigh Siobhan & Ryan West, who were wonderful together, as always.
4.5 Stars 2.5 on the spice scale

*Thank you to Must Love Audio and the author for an ALC of this title.*
What happened in Vegas definitely didn’t stay in Vegas lol. I really enjoyed this one.
Travis was a solid MMC. From the moment he found out about the baby, he was all in, determined to take care of Alyssia and make her life easier. He was a bit overbearing at first, so her hesitation made sense, but he made up for it by showing up in small, consistent, intentional ways. It made their love seem realistic and it was nice to see her walls slowly come down.
Alyssia was dealing with some heavy trauma and some PTSD. The 3rd act breakup felt unnecessary, but again…trauma. Also the last 15% or so of the book was unnecessarily dramatic and instead of that, I would’ve preferred to see that brief time apart used for her to actually process her grief and feelings, especially as they related to his career.
Overall, this was a delicious slow burn with great banter, soft moments, and a lot of intentional, tender love with just a touch of drama and suspense. The writing was smooth and engaging, and I’m definitely looking forward to the next book. Annalise is up next, and I already have a strong guess about her love interest! I’m ready 👀
This follows Alicia and Travis. Alicia is spending the weekend away with her best friend and decides to go to the bar in their hotel that’s where she meets a handsome stranger who overhears her saying she’s not interested. When they both head back to their rooms, they end up stuck in an elevator together, and the lines between them start to blur as they decide to spend the night together. But that one night comes with consequences especially since Alicia has no idea he’s actually a famous F1 driver and has no way to contact him.
I really enjoyed this character driven story with a touch of suspense. I’m also a sucker for a pregnancy trope that spans the whole book, and this one delivered.
Alicia is such a beautiful character she has a fiery personality but is also dealing with heavy grief and trauma surrounding cars, which adds an extra layer of complexity given Travis is in a sport where cars are pushed to extreme speeds. Travis is determined to avoid distractions and has his sights set on winning the championship, but the moment he finds out what’s going on with Alicia, the effort he puts in absolutely melted me. He shows up making sure she’s okay, attending appointments, and being there for both her and the baby. I never doubted he was all in, even with the added pressure of being the target of sabotage.
I really enjoyed watching their relationship grow, especially since Alicia doesn’t give up her independence easily and makes him work for it.
Lastly, the audiobook in dual narration was brilliant. Wesleigh and Ryan did a fantastic job bringing the story to life.
I’m really looking forward to reading more of Tiffany’s work in the future.

I literally binged this book in one day! Alyssia and Travis have a night in Vegas that ends up making them connected for life! The book was fast paced, but in a good way. The story was moving along at a natural pace with Alyssia's pregnancy and her trying to navigate her new life. There was a little suspense in the story that started with an eerie message for Travis. Fast Paced, billionaire F1 romance with an accidental pregnancy.
I won this book through a Goodreads giveaway in exchange for an honest review. Thanks for choosing me.
Travis steps up and takes accountability, never once disappointing me. He's a great male character. Alyssia has been through a lot. She's resilient and determined. Admirable female character. Their story may not always be perfect, but it was always a good time.
Loved the story, enjoyed the characters, and had a great time with it.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Admittedly, I am a F1 fan but this is more off track than on track action and (despite borrowing heavily in some areas from the sport and personalities within) casual fans of the sport, or even those who are not fans at all will enjoy this for the engaging characters, the surprise pregnancy, the issues Alyssia has with Travis’s career given her past trauma, and the romance – so well written! This is the first time I’ve read one of Ms. Patterson’s novels but it won’t be the last. Her writing is easy to read, and this was well paced with some drama and intrigue sprinkled in for interest, and I look forward to the next in this series.
Flat Out it is an amazing Formula One romance. It tells the story of Alyssia a young woman, that has suffered huge losses in her life that finds herself unexpectedly pregnant by hot shot racer Travis. The story is spicy, action packed, and has a bit of mystery in it as well. I also love that this book is connected to characters from Tiffany Patterson‘s previous novels. This book is a definite must read, and I am excited to see how the series continues.
I’ve loved the original Townsend series, however, this book has just fallen short of me actually even liking it. It’s kind of put me in a book slump because I just wasn’t feeling it after the half way check point.
Travis was okay for the most part but Alyssa’s character needed some work. I understand her parents died but she was insufferable most of the time, and that’s all she literally spoke about most of the book. There was not much scope for the plot to develop into something meaningful, and their connection didn’t seem genuine enough to me.
Yes they had the cliche mysterious attacker and coming for a Townsend woman is writing your fate, but maybe because I didn’t like Alyssa and thought she was being a pain so it didn’t hit as deep as the others. Literally the reason they fell out, no offence was dumb, like she looked like a mad woman cussing Travis out because he ‘lied’.
I’ve never said anything bad about a Tiffany Patterson book but I couldn’t be dishonest. I’m not sure if it’s just this sports romance trope that’s probably not for me.
Travis and Alyssia met in Vegas and after an intense one night stand, they never expect to see each other again, but weeks later as she is serving drinks at an event he is attending for his work, they run into each other again. While Travis is fixated on talking to her again, Alyssia is trying to run from him because she just found out she's pregnant with his baby and she doesn't know how to tell him or what she should do. Once the secret is out, Travis immediately knows he will do anything to help Alyssia through this process and keep his new family with him at all costs. Alyssia has felt alone for a lot of her life after losing her parents in a tragic car accident and still suffers from the trauma of that event. It's hard for her to have faith that people will stay when she always seems to lose the ones she loves the most. When she finds out she's pregnant, she is prepared and determined to conquer everything on her own, but once Travis is in the picture she has to find a way to allow him into her safety bubble and when she finally discovers that he is professional F1 driver, she struggles immensely with it. She spends a lot of time trying to reconcile the idea of professional racing vs the pain and disaster that she is too familiar with when it comes to reckless driving and it forces her to find healing if she wants to make the family she is imagining for her and Travis. Trusting in his love and steadfast strength is one of her biggest hurdles, but Travis is keeping secrets of his own about his job and trying to navigate the dangers while Alyssia barely accepts his works as is makes things even more complicated. This story was beautiful in so many different ways and I loved it more than I thought I would. Travis' patience and dedication to his family and the future they are building was beautiful and all the support they get was so special as Alyssia learns to accept family and love in all its forms. This was my first Tiffany Patterson book and I can't wait to see what else comes out of this series! Wesleigh and Ryan were phenomenal! I love both of them separately but together they brought this story to life in such a special way. I will never pass up an opportunity to listen to either of them perform and this was no exception.
I have been a fan of Tiffany Patterson’s storytelling for a while now, so I went into this book with two specific goals. First, I wanted the comfort of her signature writing style, and second, I wanted to challenge myself with tropes I usually avoid.
I typically steer clear of "one-night stands" and "unexpected pregnancy" because they so often lead to unrealistic instalove, but I was pleasantly surprised here. While I started the book with a healthy dose of skepticism, I ended up adoring both MCs immediately. The chemistry was there, and the slow burn was absolutely worth the wait.
Alyssia is an amazing FMC. She is mature, level-headed, and incredibly relatable in how she navigates difficult situations. As an introvert, I especially loved her relationship with her extroverted best friend, Kandice. Their bond felt so authentic, and I loved that Kandice wasn't just a background character. She pushed Alyssia to reflect on her behaviors and have those hard conversations that actually lead to growth for Alyssia. Their dynamic reminded me so much of my own friends in real life.
The romance between Alyssia and Travis was handled with so much care. Instead of rushing into things after finding she was pregnant, the plot focused on the emotional impact of building trust and showing how both small and large gesture create a solid foundation in a relationship.
I also really enjoyed the F1 racing aspect of Travis’s career and the way the book addressed Alyssia’s specific trauma surrounding it. I usually find myself complaining about relationship timelines moving too fast, but the pacing of their connection to the timing of the first "I love you" just made sense.
Since there was so much quick action at the end, I felt a bit rushed and wasn't ready to say goodbye to these two and truly wish the book had been longer!
Tiffany Patterson has done it again. Another Townsend to fall in love with and smile at when you see what traits they picked up from their father! Tiffany's ability to write each character with a unique personality that hasn't been seen in the family yet, given its four men in the second generation, and currently three men for the third generation, now it's four with Travis Townsend.
Travis is his father's son, with a natural charm, a supportive team member, and talent with ego (never obnoxious) for this sport. Let's not forget being head over heels about the woman who captured his eyes first and then his heart, Alyissa.
I truly enjoyed seeing a character like Alyissa in the Townsend universe. Someone who is deeply independent and somewhat of a pass pessimistic even when she has a support system (her uncles and best friend) before meeting Travis. Her independence is armour, given that she lost her parents in such a sad way.
Do I think the way Travis approached getting Alyissa getting comfortbale with his sport, given how she lost her parents due to driving, was pushy? Yes, but it didn't ruin the book for me.
Their baby was the main plot, given that's how they got together, but their love story for me was the main story. Seeing the building of trust, respect, healing, and family made me kick my feet.
Loved seeing the interactions Travis had with his family! I always love seeing characters from the universe come in. Travis with his fellow triplets, Tristian and Annalise, with their younger sister Chloe. Of course, the parents: Tyler (my favorite 2nd generation Townsend) and Destiny. I was shocked tosee Brutus make it as well! Honestly, this book is making me itch to find out what is going to happen with Tristain's story since he's completely different from happy and cheerful Travis!

I have been a Tiffany Patterson fan for a long time, so I was genuinely excited to read Flat Out. I always look forward to her releases, and while this one was a pleasant read, it just did not hit as strongly for me as some of her other books.
This story follows one of the Townsend triplets, Travis, and Alyssia. I liked that Tiffany gave us something a little different with the Formula One angle. That part felt fresh, and I also liked the setup with the instant attraction, surprise pregnancy, and the whole ships-passing-in-the-night feeling between them.
Travis was patient, caring, and clearly all in from the beginning, which I appreciated. Alyssia’s trauma gave context to why she was so guarded, but I will be honest, her resistance sometimes got on my nerves. She was one of those heroines who keeps pushing back when help is being offered, and that is just not usually my favorite type of female main character.
The romance itself was sweet, and I did like that Travis gave her time instead of forcing the relationship into something it was not ready to be. Even though they got physical early, the emotional connection was more of a slow burn. That part worked for me. What did not fully work was the mystery subplot. The sabotage angle in the racing storyline was way too predictable, so it never really added much tension for me.
I also wish we had gotten a little more from the larger family for nostalgia’s sake. I understand this series is focused on the next generation, but it still would have been nice to feel a little more of that broader family presence. I did enjoy seeing the maternal support from Tyler’s wife, though. That added warmth to the story.
Overall, this was a solid read and definitely well written. It just felt more okay than memorable for me.

I loved this story so much! Travis and Alyssia were like magnets that couldn’t keep away from each other. The background characters were hilarious. Alyssia’s best friend was a treasure, I am so jealous of her Uncles, and am desperate for more of the Townsends.
I love when the former playboy MMC falls so hard for his FMC after one unforgettable night. I’m also a sucker for when the MMC is obsessed with caring for their unborn baby 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠 This book merged so many of my favorite tropes into a realistic and engaging story. (And to the fellow audiobook listener who warned me about listening to Chapter 3 in public, thank you 😮💨🫠🥵)
Sometimes we’re blessed with narrators who just *get* the characters. Wesleigh Siobahn had me CRYING 😭 Her performance of Alyssia’s conflict was so real and heartbreaking at some points. (I was sobbing at that scene with the volunteer kid.)
I think this was my first Ryan West audiobook, but he was a great Travis. He had that cocky heartthrob vibe that meshed so well with this character.
I think I know who the next couple for the series will be and I CANNOT WAIT 💃💃💃💃 I may need to go back in Tiffany’s catalog to get more of the Townsend family 🥰
WOW this is one that I absolutely really enjoyed, it's a emotional experience that kept my feelings on a rollercoaster ride. Travis Townsend and “Alyssia Scott relationship gave me so much romance its deliciously crafted. Their relationship is a powerful combination of love and excitement that gives fuel to your own romantasy. All of the characters some old some new and even the villain are so captivating but the main couple is so magnificent. The story is full of emotions and when you add in their drama, with the emotions about the baby, plus the suspense is full of intriguing twists.Their relationship starts with a one night stand that ends with pregnancy. Alyssia is out of a job and pregnant but due to her past fears she is avoiding the father. Travis is a Formula1 racecar driver and he wants to focus on winning a championship that is until Alyssia appears on his radar. I love this it's pure perfection with lots of fun from the first to the last page. There's chaos, laughter and so much heart, the book is also pure magic. To say that I enjoyed this book is in fact a understatement, it's what I love to read its the next generation of Townsend family. This totally engages your senses from the very first sentence! Its both deliciously spicy with heart-achingly tender moments. If you are like myself you'll enjoy this most adorable couple, with their banter, the family, all of the secondary characters, the romance along with the friends and omg their flirtation this gave me so many smiles it absolutely delicious. This book is in the series that's definitely a awesome to read but for one thing I wanted it to continue but all things must end. I give it ten stars.
I’ve been dying to listen to another F1 romance, and Tiffany absolutely served with this one!
I came for the sports racing, and found instead an unexpectedly sweet romance, with a completely devoted and loyal mmc who’s nothing but nurturing. Like this man should be the blueprint. 😍
Tiffany blew my expectations of this book out of the water, and I was captivated immediately by her writing and by Travis and Alyssia. The push and pull from them from the start, and the banter.. 🥵 their chemistry was insane, and felt so real. When Travis found out the news, he was ALL IN, baby! With no hesitation, and all he wanted to do was take care of Alyssia. It was so incredibly sweet. 🥰
I loved how safe Travis made Alyssia feel. Alyssia has been through some really tragic experiences, but he never truly pushed her to open up about everything. Gave her the space to feel comfortable around him, and open up to him naturally. I really loved the slow build of their relationship. It felt like they built their home in each other, brick by brick. It made their connection that much stronger for it.
This audio was incredible to listen to. Wesleigh Siobhan!!! She was absolutely perfection as Alyssia! She captured her personality and her emotions so beautifully. And Ryan, I felt like was the perfect fit for Travis. A little gruff around the edges, but a total sweetheart at heart. A really great pairing, and they brought every word of this book to life.
Highly recommend this for my F1 romance girlies, who love the surprise pregnancy trope! 💗✨
I finally picked up my first Tiffany Patterson book, and I really enjoyed the story of Travis and Alyssia. They come from completely different worlds, but somehow make it work.
Alyssia is independent and self-sufficient, shaped by a difficult past. After a wild night out in Vegas, she ends up in bed with a handsome stranger who turns out to be a famous race car driver. And of course… one-night stand pregnancy. The story kicks off from there.
Travis is a Monaco-based race car driver chasing the next win. He’s instantly smitten with Alyssia but disappointed when she doesn’t stick around. When he finds out about the pregnancy, he takes charge, which doesn’t exactly sit well with Alyssia. She’s used to calling her own shots, and suddenly there’s this rich, bossy guy dictating her next steps. While it might feel like she caves too easily at times, you can see the idea of building a family drawing her in.
The book is well written and an easy, predictable read with a little extra drama in the background that felt resolved too quickly. I’d call it an insta-slow burn. These two get to really know each other over the course of the pregnancy. I also loved the family dynamics, especially Travis’s siblings, they add so much warmth and humor. Flat Out works perfectly as a standalone, even though it’s part of a series.
Tiffany Patterson, will always do it for me!!! I enjoyed getting to know both Alyssia and Travis. This book was a slow burner though. Yet, I didn’t want their story to end, even after the bonus epilogue. Plus Tiffany, did what I love when authors do, they jump way into the future in the epilogue.
Alyssia, is fiercely independent and guarded. So I can understand why she wouldn’t want to let Travis in. As soon as he found out about the baby, he wanted to upend her life. Yes he had nothing but good intentions, but I can see why it would be increasingly overwhelming to deal with. I won’t lie, there were moments that even I was frustrated with Alyssia’s reluctance to help.
Tiffany, tends to write her MMC as flawless men, who take complete responsibility and are devoted their wives and families. Fortunately for me, I am a SUCKER for characters like Travis hahaha Travis just hit all the spots for me. Attentive, affectionate, takes accountability, loves with his whole heart, thoughtful and considerate. And, also rich 🤭
The blackmailing felt off and not fleshed out enough, it was missing something to give it an actual edge. Even the notes felt somewhat immature and childish. The blackmail storyline felt like a filler, and completely disingenuous.
Also, there were a good few typos that took me out of the book. Which is unusual and I’m surprised the editors didn’t catch them. Otherwise, 3.5 overall.
(I did not receive a copy from the author. I purchased if off her website before it was released on Amazon.) I have been rocking with Tiffany Patterson since the beginning of her writing career. She is a talented writer and storyteller. I love her style, and she didn't disappoint with Flat Out.
I am not a fan of surprise pregnancy books. I hate the idea of the couple becoming parents before lovers. So, I didn't have a huge amount of faith in my ability to truly enjoy this book.
Well, guess what. . .you're girl found her very first surprise pregnancy story that didn't make me want to quit and actually enjoyed.
Alyssia was a very relatable character - the perfect FMC for this book. She was flawed, complex, complicated, and simple all at the same damn time. She was self assured, yet broken all at the same time.
I love that she matained her autonomy in the face of a man who wanted to "control" every aspect of her life. It made me respect her.
Travis was strong-willed, loving, and open-minded. He reminded me of his father so much. Although he wanted to "control" the pregnancy and ultimately Alyssia, he respected her boundaries. He learned to trust her, while still maintained his protective nature.
If Alyssia said no, he stood by and allowed her the space she needed. It was nice to see.
The pace at which they fell in love was realistic. The fact that they meet and didn't see each other for awhile, neither one of them forget each other or that night. I believe baby or not they would have found each other.
I can't wait for Annalise's story. I think I know who it's with.
Another Townsend kid, another cute love story. This one set in the world of F1 racing.
Travis was all about Alyssia from the beginning. She’s dealt with a lot so she’s pretty closed off and it’s going to take some consistent work from Travis to when her over.
As always the Townsend family shows up.
While all Alyssia fears were real and justified, I guess I didn’t really take what Travis did as lying. Maybe it’s because I just assumed it was understood that safety features come about in response to accidents, tragedies, etc. but this was such a short part of the book it wasn’t a super huge deal.
While I did enjoy this book, I did want a few things. We go to a lot Travis’ races but we don’t “see” them. Even in the end it would’ve been nice to see that race the same way the race in the beginning was described to us. I also wanted more interaction between the triplets. Then this is just nit picky but after the baby arrives they take the baby to get cleaned off and put them in a bassinet but then they ask if he wants to cut the cord as if the cord reaches across the room. Which is what we’re led to believe the baby is, with other medical staff. Silly I know but I laughed out loud at that.
In the first book of the new series, we dive into the world of Formula 1. Travis Townsend is in the driver's seat. Under the bright lights of the Vegas Strip, he is preparing to clinch the sought-after championship. As luck would have it, Travis meets Alyssia Scott. Alyssia is on a much-needed friend vacation with her BFF. When she crosses paths with Travis Townsend, this is the beginning of a whirlwind adventure between the two. With too much spoiling, Travis and Alyssia have to navigate everything from career paths to impending parenthood. As the story progresses, our couple learn more about each other and deals with their growing relationship. The author effortlessly blends real-life situations, humor, and steamy romance. I enjoyed being introduced to new characters and checking in with the latest of the Townsend clan. I had my theories on a few characters as well. Despite it all, Travis and Alyssia arrived at the HEA. Overall, I really enjoyed the story. I am patiently looking forward to the next adventure.
This was a really sweet and fun accidental pregnancy read with an exciting suspenseful third act that had me on the edge of my seat. F1 is inherently a white sport, so I loved getting the diversity of a Black Author and a Black FMC. Tiffany did such a wonderful job with this story and these characters and I can't wait to read more from her.
I especially enjoyed Alyssia working through her fears of her past coming at her in the present. And then even more when she not only overcame it, but dedicated her life to helping others in similar positions. And the found family vibes were really great too. Yes, Alyssia had her uncles, and they're blood, but she felt so lost even with them and I loved watching her "find" them again and find Travis' family too.
Speaking of his family, I am begging for his sisters' stories, pleaseandthankyou.
The audio was fantastic. Wesleigh Siobhan is always a fave, especially as a Black lead, and Ryan West was wonderful too. I really enjoyed this listen. Thank you so much to Must Love Audio for the advanced copy!
A one-night stand turned into an accidental pregnancy. What could go wrong? Honestly, aside from Alyssia's car-accident trauma, the romance was pretty straightforward. They worked through the oops, I'm pregnant kinda responsibly. He did the "I'm rich, I'll take care of you and the baby" thing, and, of course, she put up a fight. Lol, girl, just let him do these things, please, I beg you, we know you can take care of yourself. This is a romance, please just let him do it. I'm kidding, I do feel like the time spent getting to know each other and the daily gratitude text were important. It didn't stop the 3rd act breakup, but I do think helped make the relationship feel a little less like we are only in this because you're pregnant.
If you watch F1, you'll have to suspend a lot of belief, but it's in the background, and the blackmail part didn't quite seem fleshed out. Though I could see how that circumstance could be plausible.
Flat Out !!! Perfection absolute perfection!!! Flat Out is only the first book in Tiffany Pattersons brand new series and yes I’m already obsessed !! From page one , from the moment I met both Alyssa and Travis I knew I was in trouble, I knew I was not going to be able to put their story down . And oh man was I so so right. I loved the insane chemistry between them , I loved how likable and relatable both were . I could not get enough of the way their relationship developed throughout the story . And all the humor and witty banter and the moments that just pulled on all my heartstrings and had me smiling, laughing, yelling and crying not to mention cheering so freaking hard . This story , this new and fantastic world that Tiffany has so brilliantly created really was and is everything absolutely everything!!
This was an okay read for me. As a F1 fan, I was excited going in because I love seeing F1 used as a backdrop for romance. The racing elements were fun and there were moments that captured the intensity and glamour of the sport, but there was not a ton of racing in the plot and a majority of the story occurs off the track.
That said, the story didn’t completely hook me. The pacing felt slow at times, and I never fully connected with the characters or their relationship. The villain subplot also didn’t really add much to the story. Honestly, if it had been removed, I’m not sure the overall plot would feel that different.
Overall, it was an enjoyable enough read if you like racing romances, but it didn’t stand out for me compared to others in the genre.
Thank you Goodreads and Tiffany Patterson for the e-copy!
I won Flat Out (Hitting the Apex, #1) in a giveaway, and I really wanted to love it… but I didn’t even finish it.
If you’re here purely for spice, you’ll probably be satisfied because that’s most of what this book delivers. But for me, it felt like the storyline took a backseat to the constant sexual tension and scenes. I kept waiting for more depth, more character development, more emotional buildup, more reason to be invested and it just never fully landed.
The premise had potential, and I can see how it would hook readers who love a fast-paced, steamy romance. It just leaned so heavily in that direction that it lost me.
Not a bad book - it just wasn’t for me. If you’re someone who wants a strong plot with your romance, this might feel a little one-note. If you want something quick, spicy, and easy to get through, it could be your thing.
It’s a one night stand, accidental pregnancy where both Travis and Alyssa find each other, lose each other and come together again for a HEA.
Travis is a well known Formula 1 driver who we’ve met in previous Townsend kids books. He is single minded concentrating on winning the racing season.
Alyssa is a traumatized woman whose parents died in a car crash. She’s very closed off because of the losses she experienced so early in life.
Travis is all in when he finds out about the baby. Being persistent in his desire to be a part of Alyssa and his baby’s life. Most of the story is about them developing a relationship and falling in love.
While this was a smooth read, the twist at the end cleared up too quickly. Though it was good to see some of the other Townsends were in this book. Borrowed this from Kindle Unlimited.
This is the first book in a new series, and my word, this author has done an awesome job in weaving this addictive story. Alyssa ad Travis met in Vegas, and they soon find out what happens there does not always stay there. After being robbed oof the World Drivers’ Championship last year, Travis is out for revenge, but when he crosses paths with Alyssa again, he soon finds out the secrets she has been hiding. This is well written easy to read, fast paced story, with friendships, emotions, engaging and realistic characters, secrets, surprises, determination, romance, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, addictive page turner, which tugs at the heartstrings throughout. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I absolutely loved the surprise pregnancy aspect of Flat Out. Alyssia is a strong and fierce FMC, I adore how she’s determined to stand on her own and do things her own way. Even after getting pregnant she’s holds out strong until she can’t anymore 😏 that slow burn is so worth it! Travis is a F1 driver and wants nothing more than to strong arm Alyssia into being wherever he is and protecting her from anything and everything. He quickly realizes that is definitely not going to work in his favour. Their chemistry is not the problem but he needs to win her heart first. I love all his grand gestures and how he’s just there for her in all the ways he can be. Their friendship first and as just so sweet. 🖤 truly loved this book!
Definitely be reading this again (Happy Birthday, Ms Patterson)
This was worth the wait, I enjoyed this greatly. I love all of Ms Patterson books, but this one kind of took me back when I first got excited about romance book. I’ve read other books that felt like I was watching porn, but this was more about the characters and learning each other. Losing parents make believe or real life is very painful, they’re always in your heart and you carry them wherever you go.
