Surviving gods, betrayal, and an unraveling prophecy was only the beginning.
Luna thought escaping the ruins of the demon kingdom would bring her closer to answers. Instead, it lands her face-to-face with a kingdom that wants her gone, an ancient force that wants her dead… and a mate bond she definitely didn’t ask for.
As tensions rise and old wounds bleed into fragile alliances, Luna must navigate ruthless court politics, unravel cryptic lore, and confront the creeping darkness infecting Terra. Trust is scarce. Power is shifting. And the gods? They’re not as they seem.
Her bonds are deepening—but so are the lies.
This is a story of found family, fated mates, and one girl's slow descent into power, madness, and love.
Divine Bonds is Book Two in the When Divinity Ends series—a fantasy romance full of slow-burn tension. It is a why-choose story (which means she won’t be picking just one love interest) and ends on a cliffhanger. You’ve been warned.
Ella Ray is a lifelong lover of fantasy, romance, and stories that blur the line between magic and emotion. When she’s not writing fierce heroines, morally grey love interests, and worlds full of danger and desire, she’s likely drinking too much coffee, daydreaming about dragons, or arguing with her fictional characters. She writes for readers who believe in love that defies fate, messy emotions, and the power of found family. When Divinity Ends is her debut fantasy romance series, and she’s just getting started.
I really wanted to love this book, but her mates are so undeserving of her. I loved the FMC and think she should just be with Kai - he's the only one who actually treated her like a mate. Faithe was a blast, I loved her. Everything else was just a bit lacking. I think the author is definitely talented, and I can see the potential in this book, but it just fell a bit flat for me.
The mate bond between two of her mates made her seem like she was a complete outsider, and I absolutely hate when MM is written like that in books.
There was some light apologizing from her mates for treating her like dirt or essentially forgetting they were supposed to be protecting her, and I felt like she forgave too easily - the jump between feeling broken and forgiving them was too quick. Plus, the whole idea that she's blessed with the gods magic but can't do anything about the Hunters dad and Kai's mom? It was incredibly frustrating to read.
The descriptions in this book *chefs kiss* The humor and writing style *chefs kiss* It reminds me of Jasmin mas but with it's own unique spin, so if you were a fan of the shifterverse, I highly recommend it!
A few pages in, and I was already laughing out loud, which is saying something because the situation at hand was really no laughing matter. I absolutely adore Luna. That girl has the best sass and whit. She is one of my all-time favorite fmc's. She's just so relatable. The men in her life are a handful, to say the least, and she has to navigate her complicated relationships with them all. Who has the time when you have a realm to save? One that you're still trying to fully grasp and comprehend. I feel for her, I really do. Makes one hell of an entertaining read, though!!
This series is criminally underhyped, and it just keeps getting better. The first book drew me in, but this one really stepped up a notch, and I can't get enough.
Better than book 1 with the main storyline being kept in focus this time, working alongside her relationships with her mates.
But maybe I misinterpreted but I was left confused my the whole “they are coming” and the man with the shadows. I.e no one ever actually asks who “they” (so assuming it’s who we already know) and mr shadow man ? I thought he was helping her ?? But ends with her declaring she needs to kill him?
Divine Bonds shattered me in the best way possible. Betrayal, passion, and gods who can’t be trusted - this book had me gasping, swooning, and screaming at the pages. Luna is the fierce, sarcastic heroine we all need, and her tangled, deliciously complicated bonds will leave you begging for the next book.
OMG!! Book two is definitely is better than book one! The banter absolutely kills in this book! Definitely at the edge of my seat and could not put the book down!!
DNF after realizing it had MM. Loved the FMC and her wittiness but just couldn’t get past the new love interests and the whole pushing/blaming her from her “mates”.
